You just feel it's comfortable for you to sit at the back of your computer typing rubbish. APC objected to the use of Bokoharam as an excuse for postponing the elections. PoliticsPlot Thickens To Remove INEC Chairman Jega by hamingra(op): 6:16pm On Feb 09, 2015
There are indications that the PDP and the Presidency are concluding plans to edge out the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Even though the 2015 elections have been postponed, the fate of the INEC Chairman seem to have been sealed with an increasing vocal call for his resignation. Top PDP politicians like Musliu Obanikoro and President Goodluck Jonathan confidant and co convener of the Southern People's Assembly Edwin Clarke have called for the resignation of the INEC Chair siting loss of confidence in his ability to conduct a free and fair elections. Theycuriously also accuse the Chairman of conspiracy with Northern Elders Forum (NEF) to rig the 2015 Elections in favour of the north, by planning to declare General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner irrespective of how the elections results goes

EUROBOMBER:
The main reason why I will vote for GEJ is to make a statement. 2015 is about making a point in this country and we must drive that point home even if the gates of hell are opened. The message we must drive into some thick skulls is that Nigeria belongs to all of us. No tribe is born-to-rule while others are born to siddon dey look.

There must be fairness, equity and justice in this country. Power MUST go round if we are truly one Nigeria. Why must a particular group of people continue to terrorize the rest of the nation when they are not in power?

When OBJ, a southerner was in power, they declared Sharia law and caused a series of very violent riots in the north which led to the death of many Southerners and northern Christians.

As soon as Jonathan, another Southerner took over government, boko haram which was previously a rag tag group suddenly transforms into a mighty fighting force, blasting churches to pieces, killing innocent Nigerians and recently seizing towns and abducting our women.

The question is why is it that we cannot have peace when the people from Futa Jalon are not in power?

Buhari will NEVER rule Nigeria again. let me say this loud and clear, the best for Buhari is that he will end up as president of arewastan and maybe Odua republic but Buhari will NEVER rule Nigeria again.

See the people down there that believe Aso Rock is their property, they believe they were born to rule in Nigeria. Whenever they are not in power, they make sure nobody can sleep. See them there. embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

Dive-Bomber.
This must be Doyin Okupe! Didnt know he was in Nairaland! Hello uncle. How work for Aso Villa!

iyobs7:
When you take the statistics of illiterate in Nigeria, I am amazed that the bulk of it all comes from the north and I begin to wonder, why?

Don't get me wrong, am not saying this because of Buhari but because of my interaction with them.

One of them is a fellow student in India with me but she is on scholarship. Free tuition fees and a stipend of almost 35k naira per month while I am on self finance, this same person cannot correctly make a complete sentence...

Recently when the scholarship started again, I asked her, what about your relatives you told me was supposed to come through scholarship, she said they couldn't make it because they were not able to speak good English that others were given aptitude test to write but those from the north were only given verbal interview... But they couldn't scale through and were rejected.

If really Nigerians were to be fair, majority of those from the north would have been cleaners and messengers...

Just as op said, no one own Nigeria, it belongs to us all...

A better Nigeria I pray...
Bros you dey lie. 35k naira for India? When India begin use naira?

Nonsense. If Buhari is guilty why has Goodluck not prosecuted him? Or are you agreeing he is weak? Only a weak and incompetent leader behaves like him. We must get a leader who has the mental capacity and courage to protect and prosecute offenders, not the one that dines and pardons criminals.

All those who agree with this write up, have agreed that we must have CHANGE come FeBuhari 14th.

Sai Buhari!

Sometimes the wicked part of me wish Buhari will have the opportunity to rule Naija for a few month ,just so that these sai group will know how daft and stuupid they are. But we all know that wish can't come true.. Buhari can't be president as long as the God of Justice is still alive.

Many,but you ask for just two,and here they are;
1. Transformation in Agric sector.

Few years back,i do spend over #120,000,for 10bags of rice,to be shared to fellow citizens who can't aford it,in my community, during the Christmas period.
Guess what,i used same amount to buy more bags of rice, due to the Agric.revolution.

2.Improved transportation

I do enjoy train services now.
Few months back,i flew out of the country, from Enugu airport.

How many bags of rice do you now buy with 120k oga acting big man?

To your question on what we achieved with Buhari: 1. Eradication of insurgency (maitastine and chadian rebles) 2. Elimination of corruption. Do you want more?

Bros, the Ibos thought so too in 1967. They failed to realise that there is difference between insurgency/terrorism and war. Any govt with half brain will destroy any insurgency WITHIN ITS BORDERS in 24 hrs. Except if that govt has a hand in that insurgency. A war on the other hand is what the biafrans fought. The result is history

And if the niger delta terrorists start after Buhari is elected, then we will be convinced that Goodluck is behind that insurgency.
EMANY01:
I mentioned once that if the militants got a reason to come out once again iyr will be near impossible for the government to contain them and someone said the the military now has the means to deal decisively with them.
I asked him how he is so confident and it he knew Nigeria's order of battle (orbat) which clearly shows that the military can not afford an escalation of Militant activities in theND as things are in the NE .
If the North East suddenly mellows after a Buhari inauguration(GOD Forbid) it only convinces those in the South who were deceived that BoKo Haram was a construct of the Northern Elite .
That the government/military now has a few or a bunch assault helicopters' (hinds)? would not matter at all.
If the Niger Delta militants were preparing for trouble, they have had four years to prepare.
Hopefully they will not make the people their targets but the economy and the oil industry sustaining infrastructure .
Unlike boko haram every one ,every strata of the society in Nigeria will feel the impact.
Any pilot who flies missions to the ND should be prepared. They better have received training in evasion of Surface To AIR missiles.
The Russian SA 9 from Gadaffis stockpile abounds the black market, this in addition to many Chinese copies of both the SA 9 and the American Stinger missile.
The Nigerian militaries' aviation attrition rate is insanely high in peace time when no one is shooting back, throw in an airspace over the creek's filled with the threat of anti aircraft weaponry, and the military will just have to park their surviving airframes and approach the problem on land(on the mostly murky swampy ground).
Afghanistan in the eighties Is a well documented example of how even a powerful army stands to be routed by a ragtag band of outlaws on home ground.Quite simply, pilots and planes mostly the (attack choppers) went to Afghanistan to DIE.
The afghan theatre was mountainous and with sparse vegetation which ordinarily should have been advantageous for the well trained Russian pilots but they still got routed in a large percentage of the encounters.Compare this situation with the Niger Delta mangrove swamp, creeks which gives a lot of covering both visual and infra red so using sensors will achieve limited success and will not dramatically improve the performance of the airborne search and destroy missions.
A minor advantage is for the military is that just as the creeks offer cover for the militants, they can't just use the SAMs everywhere in the creeks. They would have to be careful to find small openings in the vegetative cover lest the missile shot is wasted and their position given away.
Tangentially, aviation charter business will ground to a halt almost instantaneously as a result of the new threat.
Add this to the problems on the ground caused by the activities of militants in and around the creeks, coastlines and a little distance out at sea.
Any energy infrastructure that feeds outside the ND (pipeline -gas-crude-refined products), power lines, etc will be game.
The only safe petroleum installations would be the ones far out at sea.
Hard times await the oil industry and by extension the economy.
All these people DELUDING themselves that buhari as president will deal with the Militants make me laugh.I have a question for them though:will the military buhari will use be different from the military we have now.Even if you remove the current high command, would it still not be the same rank and file fighting boko haram they will use?
