simplemach:Just like we feel now voting the most incompetent and worst president in the his tory of Nigeria. Then let GMB come and exercise all his own skills, idea and experience let's see. After 4 years if he is no better than GEJ then we will wish and vote him out just like we want GEJ out. Nigerians are no more blind, Dump and daft electorates. |
What has GEJ to offer? He concluded Yar Adua's tenure, nothing came out of it. The excuse was that Yar Adua loyalist are sabotagin his effort because they never wanted him as acting president. He started his own tenure afresh, so far so good, nothing to show. This time the excuse wad that someone promised to make Nigeria ungovernable for him. Despite being the C in C, he couldn't investigate and chain the person so that he can rule well. Instead he came up with another excuse that he was not the cause of Nigeria's problem, he inherited them (imagine how daft a president to talk ). Now he wants another 4 yrs, to fix what he couldn't fix in 6-7 years. What are those New Things he has to offer? He crashed the Nigerian economy, suckling our reserve dry. Encouraging and approving looting at all level, saying it's just stealing. All he has offered this long are promises promises and promises. Excuses Excuses and Excuses. Blame Blame and Blame. GEJ, what new things do you have to offer after over 6 yrs in office? PDP, what new things do you have to offer after ovet 15 yrs of rule. We need a change of president, A change of Party ideology and manifesto, a change of team, change of policies, change of Agenda. In all , we need a Changed and Better Nigeria! |
WhiteTechnology:What he meant by that was to stabilise oil price in our local market. Not the international oil price being managed by Opec and market trend. You won't agree less that the local oil market can and should be stabilised. Like it's very certain there will be oil scarcity and fluctuations in price early next year which shouldn't be cos we (sorry, Niger Deltans) own the oil. |
LeadersOfThought:Saw this on punch. True talk! |
I a very strategic approach is needed in selecting who will be the running mate. Both Buhari and whoever will be the running mate should be sellable to electorates from their imediate region at no extra cost. GET has the whole of the wealth of Nigeria to buy over voters from any region. So the question is will electorates from the South West choose to voter for Osibanjo (which is indirectly voting for GMB) as against voting for GEJ as President. That analysis should also be done for other potential running mates. A running mate from the South South and South East may not work easily expect the candidate enjoys an unconditional affection from the people of his region. |
CyberWolf:I haven't really heard of that name in the political sphere before. APC needs some one with a strong political goodwill and a bright chance of wining an election if asked to contest. Not just anybody. Sambo is a strong politician on his own that as a strong political structure in the North. GEJ was a Politician to recon with when he was made the running mate to Yar Adua. Likewise, Atiku to Obasanjo. If Buhari had a strong politician as his running mate in 2011, he would have gotten more than 12 million Votes. But no one knew Bakare then. The same goes for Ribadu, no one new Fola Adeola then. How many people knows Prof Osibanjo. Is he coming with any political goodwill?. Can he win an election or pull reasonable votes if asked to contest alone?. APC cant afford to get it wrong.Choose someone the people already know! |
A professional and an Administrator with years of experience in the private and coperate industry would be a good vice. That will complement what ever weakness is observed in the president. Profiles like that if Fashola, Ambode, Agbaje, Fayemi, Oby, Fold Adeola, Pat Utomi etc. This individuals are core professionals in their chosen fields. |
courage89:Fashola would have been a great vice president is not for the religious heat introduced into our present day politics. But that would amount to a disaster should APC try it. PDP's propaganda of APC being an Islamic party and planing a Muslim Muslim ticket won't make it work. |
I think Rochas or Madam Oby should be, if only their people will not neglect them cos of APC like they did to Ngige |
THe APC primaries have come and gone. The next challenge of the stakeholders is selecting the best running mate for Buhari. Who do you think should be the best choice of running mate for Buhari putting the following into consideration : Tribe/Region, Religion, Popularity and Acceptance by the electorates. Potential candidates : Rochas okorocha Fayemi Idah isiah Dele Momodu Adams oshiomole Madam Oby Ezekwesili Chris Ngige Rotimi Amechi. ...... |
