BeijinDossier: That's the problem with our people. We like sentiment than reality. There are only 4 international airports in Nigeria and these airports were the ones being Concessioned. Enugu airport is not part of it. Forget the building, because building does not make an airport to become international.
U always see problem in your people but wat about yourself
U want to tell me that an Airport that was given international status in 2012 is now local?
vanbonattel: yes, some local airports are even landing much international passengers with ethiopian airlines than the international ones. Thats ngeria for you, upside down waka
Enugu was categorised as international or has that changed?
BeijinDossier: There are only 4 international airports in Nigeria- Lagos, Abuja, PH and Kano. The rest are all local airports. Kaduna even stand a better chance of being an international airport soon.
Handsomegod: I thought i was the only one who found the pictures of Porthacourt posted here so far very dull and quite disappointing. Gloomy at most.It paints the picture and impression of an enclave battling to break away from a forgone era. There are yet no sharp pictures or iconic projects as expected. I may be wrong though but i can clearly River State is pulling way below its weight considering the enormity of resources at its disposal. This may even be the general feeling in most Niger-Delta States. Delta and Bayelsa are like in perpetual sleeping mode with no development commensurate to their allocations. It took the 8 years of Akpabio to gave Akwa Ibom a modest facelift with notable futuristic iconic hyper-inflated projects.
The best Amaechi could do last Christmas, rather than face the shame of Ndiigbo patronizing Enugu International Airport was to shut it down.
Asking them to use Port Harcourt. Forcing Igbo to make the long journey of traveling from Lagos to East and Abuja to East
Somebody need to tell him that the dayz Igbo did that have past.
Igbo dont even want to use Lagos or Abuja, they want it in their state if possible or Enugu.
Ofodirinwa: Port Harcourt committed suicide with it's Rigbo cultural policy. Lagos didn't and doesn't want Igbo people but they know what it means to their economy to have a large bulk of economically active people coming in and contributing. Port Harcourt went out of it's way to show hostility to these people in order to steal and keep 50 year old houses. The result is PH is a dead city. They have even moved the oil industry to Lagos because that was the plan to begin with. Only now instead of the entire east kicking and screaming about it, PH is left on it's own..unless of course, we count their brother in Bini lol.
Wat, I find most ridiculous about the Ikwere is their arrogance and pride.
In the sense that, they think, saying we are not Igbo makes them better.
Yet, I see them being in a worst place than the said Igbo.
Like, you said they lost it all and continue to lose.
From, Odili being used and dumped by OBJ to losing all their oil companies to Lagos.
As we speak, there are plot to carve out the entire oil producing part of Rivers state into a Oil River state, leaving the Ikwere landlocked.
Fast forward to today, Rotimi Amaechi is also being used and dumped.
After 4 years in power as Minister, not even Port Harcourt Airport does he have to show.
Realizing their mistake Amaechi is claiming Igbo in hope to use the 2023 spot of Presidency wen it comes East after missing that of the SS.
Nwanne, Ikwere really need to retrace their step and make peace with the SE, if ever they want to progress otherwise they keep losing.
Abagworo, I have a feeling that the SE will be far more developed than Rivers or be it Port Harcourt in the next 20 years.
There pace of growth and development in a short space of time is astonishing.
Further, I think Port Harcourt should be competing with Cities like Abuja, if not Lagos.
It really goes to show the extent of rape that followed the Biafra war on Rivers and how it has affected development and in deed the people of the state, from Ikwere, Ekpeye to Ogoni.
hakimi1974: I have done business with Igbos Hausas yourubas efiks ibibios fulanis different people from diverse culture and religion. NEVER, I repeat NEVER trust anybody from Adamawa, they are not straight forward.
nnamdijonathan: This your comment is very funny. Can you please show me Peter Obi's flyover. Agriculture in Anambra grew to its peak under Obiano, Awka and Onitsha began to look serene and clean under Obiano, Obiano has completed over 50 roads left by Peter Obi and has built many bridges to connect the cities to the agro and oil communities, Information technology in schools in Anambra came to fruition under Obiano, Anambra university teaching hospitals as well as some other hospitals were completed by Obiano, Anambra's IGR and economy grew their record high under Obiano, Anambra is now self sufficient in rice production etc
Do u know how much money Peter Obi donated to Anambra Schools?
Do u know, the number of roads and bridges built by Peter Obi?
Do you know the number of hospitals and various State institution built from scratch by Peter Obi?
Obiano is signing memorandum and deceiving himself.
Very soon, u will tell us he invented agriculture in Anambra.
nnamdijonathan: If that fear comes, Igboland will be rated as the most insecure region in Nigeria which is very bad for incoming foreign investors, so you see that we also have to consider the negative consequences of your plan. The Army is also likely to launch Python dance 4, 5, and even 6 in our land which will heighten tension and further scare away investors, kill the night life in our cities, drop the tourism potentials of our cities etc. We must create a new means of expressing our anger.
mightguy: don't mind the selfish leaders. Tufia. Where are all the igbo politicians. Ngige. Where are all the useless senators representing the east. Where are all the commissioners. Where are all the religious leaders in se. Where are all the mighty men of igbo land. Emeka offor. Arthur eze and co. Tufia..
Wen the people start mobilising secretly, even the governors are no longer safe.
We will have people within their houses and office.
This is the opportunity Nnamdi Kanu did not utilise becos of Microphone.
mightguy: Am even planning to launch an online campaign in every igbo group on Facebook and Twitter to launch a massive protest to un. Amnesty. Transparency. Red cross and co through Twitter. Facebook. Instagram because it seems all this leaders ave migrated to Instagram. Atleast the world will see and I hope Nigeria be cautioned
It is very sad but we are on our own and have to take the bull by the horn.
U see those our mothers in prison in Imo State?
That is wat we have to do, we dont have anybody but ourselves and God.
mightguy: What about the python dance three the military wants to exercise in the most peaceful region in Nigeria and it is soo sad that the se governors have not for once said something about it. If not ohaneze and ipob who have made some statements. While our leaders. The soposed leaders who are to say something have not said anything about it. What a shame
Obiano was suppose to be booted out of office but who will replace him, Which party?
Okorocha uses fedral might to rig himself into retaining imo state governorship.
Umahi and Ikpeazu are hoping their friendship would mean Buhari dont rig them out of office and similar Ugwuanyi.
Are these the Igbo leaders?
Nwanne, we need to mobilise becos we have no leaders but ourselves.
mightguy: U peeps should stop all this creating of battalions and co in a public forum. Importing weapons and co. This is a faceless forum and i knw that some evil hawk eye charlatans are viewing this thread
We are basically recruiting board members here. Wen, we relocate to our platform, they will not follow. That is where the action start, here we are shiit chatting.
nnamdijonathan: Funding for over 500,000 personnel? This guy are u sure that you are not dreaming? You want to turn 550,000 people into militias abi? I was even expecting u to call for a meeting between the various community vigilante groups in igboland for all of them to discuss ways of protecting Igbo land with less police involvement, at least the governors are in charge of providing their salaries and weapons so you don't have to worry about generating funds yourself for their welfare and they are also legal vigilance groups.
Those groups belong to corrupt politicians, we will start afresh.
It will not take us time to recruit 550,000 personnel and have our modus operandi.
Our organisation is distinct and a ghost, u wont know we are there.
OMANBALA1: The average Igbo man need some serious mind changing information and mental preparation if you want to secede from Nigeria. Its really not that difficult, maybe few lives will be lost but I have the game plan. I dont think Africans read a lot , they are mostly followers of looters. I delivered a little speech in the gathering of elderly Igbo people in states and everybody became silent. I get frustrated when I look at the mentality of our youths. You guys give the northerners too much credit.
Nigeria Army were already in Ore.
Meaning, they were already heading east from Lagos after killing all Igbos in their rank and file.
Ojukwu decisiveness held them off for 3 years. In the process, killed many of them.
Some say 50, 000 Nigeria troops others say half a million.
It was Awolowo blockade, aided by neighboring country and the west that caused the death of 3 million people via starvation.
OMANBALA1: Ojukwu started a war he know danm well he has nothing to execute the war with but pride wont let him back down. He dared Gowon and led us into a war that destroyed many lives and families and left an everlasting scar in our memory. However, when it was time for him to pay with his blood like a real soldier he took off and abandoned his people. Upon return he married a damsel jilu nee onwie olu.
Nnamdi Kanu was destined for disaster right from the get go, if he had studied people like Malcolm X he would have become a great hero. When you start a movement for any purpose the first thing you do is educate qnd retrain the minds of your followers/listeners just like Uwazuruike did in late '90s. When I joined MASSOB we were taking classes on history and knowledge of self that when I changed my Baptismal name and took my great grandfather's name and my mother almost disowned me. Uwazuruike followers like me hold better argument unlike Nnamdi Kanu who's followers are uncouth and ignorant. They were claiming areas that dont like Igbos and insulting Yorubas and Fulanis...very dumbb.
Nnamdi Kanu downfall was is arrogance and ignorance. He couldn't handle the fame. Too bad.
@ bolded, Dike di Ujo...
Go and learn history so u wont make ignorant comments such as, 'Ojukwu started a war that destroyed many lives and families and left an everlasting scar in our memory.'
Before Ojukwu war, how many innocent igbo people had been massacred in the North?
Wat about Igbo soldiers massacred?
Do u think, Igbo land was not a target to continue the massacre?
selemempe: u are a very smart person bro. Everything u said up there is 100% pure. I always knew u were igbo regardless of wat others are saying. But even if u are not igbo....wat u wrote here is exactly wat igbo needs.
I keep saying it... Biafra should be an igbo only struggle Biafra should be led by ohaneze...not ipob Igbos should work closely with yoruba to achieve a lot
