horsepower101: I feel the same way but the knowledge of the resources we possess is not a secret to those in power. They already know. It’s just recently that the rest of Nigerians are beginning to catch up because of Nairaland and internet.
But those in power already knew this years ago. The oil they are claiming in SS are they not on Igboland added to those areas? In Rivers state, Igbo clans are split into two with one in Imo and the other half in Rivers becos of oil. Same with Abia, where one is in Abia, the other half in Rivers becos of oil. I want to see wat happens with the Gas. |

I was hoping we could hold unto our Gas reserves until post Nigeria, when we can use it more efficiently and purposeful to power our own industrial revolution. It is even better if the machinery and in place as we exit come 2023. Anambra is an Ocean of gas and nothing yet. In Rivers the gas is just wasting for decades. |

[s] PHijo: Jumbo jumbogha otherwise known as Jaja is Ijaw! He is not Igbo, there is no evidence to prove he was Igbo. He left Bonny island for Opubo ama( Opobo).
According to history, the land Opobo was built on was acquired from another Ijaw clan, Andoni.
Out of the 18 war canoe houses in Bonny, 14 left with Jumbo Jumbogha for Opobo.
As the practice was then, a slave could have been Igbo, Ibibio, Ogoni etc. So having slave ancestry doesn't make a person Igbo automatically.
Rivers state is not and IGBOID state, it is a multicultural state.
I hope proponents of Biafra or Niger Delta republic that would include Igbo like chief Asari Dokubo are taking note. [/s] AT THIS POINT, I LEAVE U IN YOUR DELUSION, AS ONE BEYOND SALVAGE. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF NOW. |

bigfrancis21: Badagry people are actually part of Benin Republic and they are called ‘Egun’ or ‘Ogu’. Their language is totally different from Yoruba. The Nigerian-Benin border divides them into two. One half in Nigeria and the other still in Benin. Most of them on the Nigerian side are bilingual in Ogu and Yoruba. The other indigenous Lagosians are the Aworis and they are a Yoruba sub group. The best way to resolve Yoruba claim in Lagos is to remove Ijebu. Even the Ijebu are not thought to be Yoruba. The real owner are Awori, who also are not yoruba. I really dont know if Yoruba just claim the City based on geographical proximity. |

whirlwind7: Emotional? Been reading your take on this issue, and you seem to be the emotional one here. You don't lump a group of people who haven't shown commitment with your cause into your struggle. What is wrong with you guys? Same way you got shortchanged because you believed that igboid ethnic groups from Rivers State would identify with and support you during the civil war. What happened afterwards? They denied you, sided with the federal troops to blockade you from the south, and took possession of your grandfather's properties in Port Harcourt. Yet, you haven't learned any lesson. Can you cite any documented evidence which shows that the Ibibios or any other non Igbo tribe are eager to become a part of Biafra? Just one.
Didn't know that IPOB was good at negotiating deals Pray tell, what single deal has it successfully negotiated till date? pazienza: I see no smartness in IPOB ways.
You like indulging in self deceit. The average Ipobian hates hearing about Niger delta republic or South South. You rather have those alien groups with Igbophobic mindsets in same utopian entity with Ndiigbo while trying as hard to please them, even if it means making Igbos their slaves. Unbiased1: I just tire for ur case tbh. Which kind brain u get self? U ALL, BLAME IPOB FOR WAT EXACTLY? HOW LONG HAVE WE BEEN AROUND. pazienza: So let them work for Niger delta republic, provide logistic support when you can, and stop dragging them into Biafra.
As an Igbo, I want an only Igbo Biafra where Igbo language will be the ligua franca and language of instruction in schools. Where no lazy ethnic group will wake up one-day and start accusing Ndiigbo of domination. Worst still, I don't want another mini Nigeria, a heterogeneous entity full of ethnic groups united by common shared Igbophobia. That's exactly what Biafra with those Myriads of divergent ethnicities in SS will be. Such country will have no bright future. That is wat u will get and the agenda, but done smartly to avoid being caged. |

What does Nnamdi Kanu's attitude portray to your likes? Today proudly Nigeria, support GEJ, support the fight against Boko Haram etc. And you wake up tomorrow and then Tomorrow Biafra, kill Awusa and Yoruba baboon, No Election, No Referendum, Support Trump, Igbos are Jews, Middle belt is Biafra, support Shiites, Support Orji Kalu And you wake up next tomorrow and then.

pazienza: What is the correlation between this and need to have a pan Igbo independent group pursing for Igbo interests only within Nigeria with long term and final aim of pulling Ndiigbo out of Nigeria?
Why must you incorporate the tower of Babel called Niger Delta into Biafra? Must they be part of Biafra before you work with them on how to leave Nigeria. And by the way, did these people even tell you that they want to leave Nigeria? Why can't we for once think rationally. Seriously, IPOB get on my nerves. I wouldn't care of not that you bring Ndiigbo shame by your behavior and allow inconsequential groups through insults at Igbo through your ill thought unity begging.
It's 3 days to end of 2019. You guys must repent and stop this abnormal behaviour already. You are misrepresenting Ndiigbo. The idea Igbo can just leave Nigeria is Utopian. It is either we leave as we came or face another tragic episode involving the SS as we did the SW. SS cannot go on with one Nigeria once we leave. This people beat us to the gun and wanted exit from Nigeria whilst we were busy romancing the North. It is either they get Niger Delta Republic or they provide Nigeria with an avenue to blockade Igbo country. U know wat the last blockade cost Ndiigbo in Human capital? |

The point here is very simple, SS cannot go on with one Nigeria once we leave. This people beat us to the gun and wanted exit from Nigeria whilst we were busy romancing the North. It is either they get Niger Delta Republic or they provide Nigeria with an avenue to blockade Igbo country. U know wat the last blockade cost Ndiigbo in Human capital? |

Ok tell us about Isaac Adaka Boro. Wat happened there initially? They declared the Niger Delta Republic on February 23, 1966 and fought with federal forces for twelve days before being defeated. Boro and his comrades were jailed for treason. |

Biafra May not happen In our lifetime. Not because lack of support. Rather because of delusional and misguided igbos who are still waiting on south south to come with them.
The sooner we all realize that they have moved on and don’t want no business with us, the faster Biafra will come. Do u want the same thing that happen during Biafra war to repeat itself? The middle-belt fought very hard becos they could not see themselves in Nigeria without the Igbos. So they fought us. The same was the case for the Yoruba in the SW. The day we try to leave this country without the SS, will be another lesson for Igbos to learn. Remember wat happened to Adaka boro, wen he tried to leave and wat Aguiyi Ironsi, Nnamdi Azikiwe and other Nigerians did to them. Be wise! |

Eastlink: You don't fight for us. Bury your IPOB to yourselves. We don't want an IPOB Biafra headed by one supreme ant that fails to understand what we desire. If not for oil I doubt the sincere intentions of the illiterate IPOB. A new group that is solely Igbo in orientation must be formed. A group that will carry us along, fight for Igbo unity and fight for the interest of our people is what we want and not a useless IPOB. The idea of Biafra of no headway is totally rejected by us. We rather remain in Nigeria than enter a potential confederacy of ethnicity which would be worst than south Sudan. Have u seen the video where Nnamdi Kanu was a proud Nigerian? Did u see him campaign for Sowore release? We are not a racist organisation, if u want to continue to live in a fairy tale Nigeria of Ohanaeze going to beg Arewa youth or your Governors selling each other out to Hausa and Yoruba, just say so. We are not about any of the things u accuse us of, but a better life for our people. Y should a Northerner go to University with a lower cut off mark and a South easterner with highest cut off mark? Wat have your Igbo politicians or state governors said about that? IPOB are the only group that have truily challenged the Nigeria State and paid heavily too but still defiant. |

IPOB is anti Igbo unity. If you see the way the groups down SS butcher each other, u will realize how much they love Ndiigbo.
