Hello guys! I'm by name Hamza Hussaini. I'm a UK PhD scholar of PTDF. I was lucky to be among the successful applicants of last year. I went through all your posts and want to contribute on some few issues as;
✓ I want to make it clear that PTDF scholarship is merit based, even though it is highly competitive. Don't allow anyone to deceive you that the scholarship is for people with connections. I got the scholarship without knowing even the councillor of my ward. Try your best and pray hard.
✓ I have seen some applicants worrying themselves on the issues of publications and membership certifications at the moment, that they are on the process of acquiring such documents but couldn't make it before the deadline for the application. Please don't worry yourselves so long you can get them before the time for interview. They will allow those shortlisted full access to their portal so that they can update their portal about two weeks to interview time. PTDF interview panel members always grade applicants base on what they presented during interview not what was uploaded during application.
✓ The issue of change of course after been successful is not always possible. I was a victim of this. Have changed my course and PTDF denied me proof of funding for that. I had to go back and reapply for admission in different school. I wasted more than four months on this issue.
✓ The most important documents for the interview include:
* Research proposal/statement of purpose
* Class of degree/masters
* O'level
* Membership certificate
* Publications (even though this was not considered during last year's interview).
The last but most important thing is prayers.
Finally, my advice for you people is to keep on updating your research proposal/SoP before interview and make it part of you. Wish you good luck.

I'm a PhD applicant and was a PTDF scholar, I haven't bn contacted but I'm very hopeful. I think we need to be patient, I applied to both the FGC and UK schemes.
I can tell you AUTHORITATIVELY that the marking scheme for PhD applicants posted on this forum is wrong, at least its not what was on the table while I was being interviewed. I remember that qualification (Bachelors plus Masters) was a max of 30 marks.
If you think you did well and you haven't bn contacted, remain hopeful..

Yes sir but for some of us, we find some of the criterion mild. For example, in the area of qualification, i have 10 marks. Accordingly, the interviewers recorded two publications for me making a total of 10 marks. Finally, i presented four awards, they were accepted and also tallied 10 marks for me (2.4 each).

However, I'm not too convinced that i would win the award because you don't know what other candidates have at hand. So I'm just praying for the best

Brother maximum marks for publication is 5 so you can't have more than that even if you submitted 10 publications.

Thank you for all the updates @Dmain Man. Pls I have some questions with regard to those that participated in both the interviews. Pls what will happen to those that may make it to the final list of the two interviews? Will they be given chance to choose the one they want the most Or it is the fund that will decide for them?

Its not the interview that is scheduled to take place between 5-10 September but batching and invitation for the interview. The interview might start last week of September. Also I don't think the cut off mark will be up to 50%. Because there are many cadres that don't have people that scored up to 50%. Anyway sha just pray that God Almighty should come your way.

I don't know why a times people don't want to said the truth.... I can see that somebody claimed to have scored 54% in computer programmer post exam. There is no way you can score 54% in this exams. you can either score 53.3333% or 55% sir. Take noted pls....

Please is there anyone that received payment from Bauchi. It seems no one has seen alert over here....
