it was a great war at CDHC on monday when i was there to check the status of my application,I meet "glopaul" who also came to submit additional documents, It was my great pleasure to meet nairlanders at Almighty CDHC Office, my regards to everybody and also let us always share words together anytime any nairlander is in Almighty CDHC office,so we can share experienced together, I think i meet some nairalanders at CDHC but we are just like mind ur own business and its not good,we gat to chat and share words together, If not because "globapual" mentions something like nairaland when we are chating i will not know that he was "globapaul" at nairlander and i know by the grace of God,we shall all hear good news,


Yes my bros nairlander,My own case with Almight CDHC is still the same ooooooooooooooooo,when i fill the enquiry form and attach a copy of a remind letter that was sent to me from my school, almighty CDHC still reply me that,they are still processing my application that,i should give them another "WEEKS" Imagine my bros nairalander, Another "Weeks" after 5 month delay, wat will i do ? egba mi oooooooo

@ Hamzatfee: did u write toefl, is proof of English compulsorily required by your school. did u write any letter alongside your application? cos u seem to be making some grammatical errors while typing or is it still the way u talk?

Ah! 4 months is a long time o. about 80 working days I think. For dem to hold it for dat long means u have a gud chance(i guess). Wen is ur school starting? Probably Fall (sept). Dats may also be anoda reason y they are taking their time. But if the wait continues keep payin them a visit - like once a week - till they give u a definite reply.

thanks so much for your contribution, My school has already resume for my applied course on May 11 but when CDHC has not yet make a decision till my school resumed,so i now decided to differ my admission to september ( Fall ).So my school will resume for my course by september 8 again , please help me to beg CHDC to answer me or is there anybody with the same situation, Please what do you think can happen why my application was late, Am confused,I don't know what to do and don't know next step !!!

CDHC do not appeal, You can only rearrange your documents and reapply, GoodLuck !!!

Nope, the study permit is different from the work permit.
The CDHC only issues you a study permit. When you arrive canada as a student, you have to spend six months before you are eligible for a work permit in other words, you cannot engage in any work (except on campus employment). but afterwards, once you get the work permit, you can work (anywhere) as you study.i hope its clear

oga ooo, Thanks very much for the information, CDHC is very strict to that extend, i submitted my STUDY PERMIT application for over 4months now without calling for medical or interview !!!, I just submitted my new acceptance letter for fall semester from my school to CDHC today, Do you think i may still call for medical or interview at this point ? Please is there anybody in the house that had thesame case and was later called for medical or interview after series of months that your documents is with them, please share your experience

I hope u remember my issue with the CDHC.

They sent a letter for an explanation of my sponsor's statement authenticity

I sent an updated statement with letters from my sponsor and a personal letter as requested.

The school resumes on June 8 and they are yet to respond, I am even yet to do the medicals.

when i went to the CDHC to inquire on the status, they said they will get back to me soon and I can send them an e-mail.

I sent an e-mail, but CDHC is always some slow ass, they are still yet to reply and there is limited time b4 skool resumption.

I met an applicant at the CDHC who said it may be difficult getting a study permit without showing commitment by paying the tuition fee

what more do y'all think i can do on my own end as of now.

Do i keep going back to disturb them about the status of my application until skool resumption?

Or just chill and see what happens next before taking a further step?

well,i do understand your feelings, you are right that CDHC are very slow in treating documents but it will be better if you did not disturb them cos someone advise me not to disturb CDHC , My submitted my study permit documents to CDHC on feb 5 for MAY admission,my school has resumed since last week MAY 11 and they have not yet make a decision on my application,i went there to check the status of my application and explained to them that my school has resumed but i was told to differ my admission,i need to differ my admission to september again,i got my new acceptance letter on Monday and i went there on Tuesday to submit the acceptance letter,when i get there i was told by the security man that i cannot submit it until i was given an order from CDHC,so i need to email them and explain them what has happened,they now reply me to come by next week monday to come and submit it, Now am going to CDHC on monday to submit my new acceptance letter for september admission and they have not call me for anything, maybe for medicals or interview, People of nairaland we need alot of fasting and prayer for our documents with CDHC cos they are too slow in treating documents, my documents has used over 4 month now, Imagine !!!

@Nairalanders, Pls bewareof 419'ers on this board. I recieved an unsolicitied call one time from a person claiming that he can help me get to Canada. Nairalanders, dont be desperate about travelling out so that you dont fall into the hands of people that will take advantage of you.

now i applied for an undergraduate course without submitting my transcript but a letter stating what i have beeen doing.
Now i am applying for undergraduate, do u think i should get my transcript from the Uni since i have already told the embassy that i am a student (twice for visiting)

I did not understand you very well, when you apply for visiting,are given a visa ? Also have you submitted or you just want to submit study permit application, If happen that you just wnt to submit,then you must include your school transcripts,Its very important or you asked your school to send the transcripts to CDHC by themself cos there are some cases whereby the school will not release the transcripts to the student.

@Hamzatafee, sorry i do not have a sponsor because i don't know or have anyone who can sponsor me though, so am doing this all alone but i do work, now as a worker going for a vacation, how much do you think i can have in the account before i do the statement.

well,once you don't have a sponser then at least must you have 500k in your account and include appointment letter from you work,all the proof that you are working, Id card,appointment letter,personal letter from the director of your company to the cdhc consular,pay slip,leave letter, Are you married ?if yes,include your marriage certificate.i hope you have not yet married or give birth cos if you have married or giver birth,this will really affect you cos CDHC expect you to have enough money to feed your family before going for a holiday trip.therefore you must have enough money in your account apart from ticket fees, goodluck

well afterall,you have a sponser,so you gat use your sponsorer account and you must include your own personal statement of account of at least 300k apart from ticket fees.
