Yes,you can attach your own personal statement of account,its good that you don't have much money on it,cos if you have much money on the account ,they will be wondering how you have such amount of money in your account when you said,you are a student but it will be OKAY,if you can attach your personal statement of account of maybe 100k.

now the question is which documents or information does the embassy verify out of the legions of documents and information submitted to the embassy? for example does the embassy verify the certificates- educational certificates, age, number of siblings or they specifically check the validity of certain information and or documents? i am asking this because i applied for a student visa and i am yet to get a feedback. thus am i to expect a reply out after all the information in my application e.g age, siblings address educational qualifications etc has been verified?

debosky, Kennis, Delta007 and all Nairalanders, Please i need this urgent favour from you all, I would be submitting a visiting application at the Canada embassy sometimes next week, I just wanted to know and verify some issuess if you have an idea, I am submitting the application based on going to attend a conference in Canada, I have been to France twice to attend other conferences within the past 9 months and i have also been to Ukraine before to attend a study program for 3 months and i have a permit of a Ukraine for a year as well which has just expired,

I just wanted to say in a whole that i dont have a virgin passport, But i just wanted to know if i stand a chance of getting the canada visa cos i am a final year student in an agric university and the conference is based on agriculture and i have my official invitation letter with me and my sponsor also just gave me the sponsorship bank statement with worth over 2million naira of company bank statement with a confirmation of his signatory,

Please,i need your candid advice on what other document i should add, I do not know if my personal bank statement would be required since i am a student and also i dont know what other documents to enclose,

guy,you are Okay with all your documents but its will be fine if you can attach your own personal statement of account cos i do attach it with mine too, Just be prayerful and all will be fine !!!

thanks for your advice delta0007,i have already contact my school to differ my admission to september and a new acceptance letter has been issue to me today and i will get the new acceptance letter in 5 working days, maybe next week,as soon as i get it next week,i will go to CDHC to submit it to update my application !!!!!!! thanks everybody in the house,we shall both laugh very soon.

Even though it is stated three months, it takes longer usually btw 4 -5 months to to process a student visa, if you have been following this thread you would have known this and submitted way earlier, your best bet will be to first call the embassy, you can look thrugh earlier posts where the no was listed , though at peak periods of the year i doubt you will get an answer from the visa section, your next bet is to go to the embassy in VI and fill an enquiry form but be sure to be armed with your DHLor UPS waybill no so that they can track your appl package.
Well dont panic, youll hear from them soon inviting you for a medical or interview, as for the school i advice you to defer the semester to fall or winter term, always start at the beginning not during the middle of the semester, classes here can not be easily crashed like those in 9ja, trust me, a few lectures missed and you are so lost!
Well, in any case,if the embassy approves your visa you will still have to get a new letter of admission with a new start date , so you'd rather start the process of getting a deferment from your school so that you can get the new letter and present it as soon as the embassy requests.
what is the name of your school and for which course were you offered admission?

Hey house, am having a little problem here and i need advice, i have gotten my visiting letter from my friend from Canada and now i need to sumit it at the canada embassy this week but now my problem is the sponsor's account, am a guy of 25 years old and i don't have anybody that can stand as my sponsor based on getting the statement of an account but i have like $3000 only on my account and i don't know if i can present that only or i will still look for a sponsor which i don't know when, could you please advice?

You don't need any sponsorer again,afterall you have evidence that you are working and you have 3000 canadian $ in your account,this is Okay for evidence that you are able to afford your expenses during your stay in canada, Let me give you a testimony , there was a friend of mine that apply for visiting visa to UK with just 200,000 naira in his account and it his visa was granted,he is now in UK.
