@realtol, My mail is talk2hanoo@yahoo.com you can drop the name. But I thought Muyeskin said people whose score isn't up to the cut off won't find their name on the Merit list. That have left me wondering cos people who got less than I did have their names on the list. The sooner you clarify your stand the better. I'll also be in Ife sometime next week.

@realtol,  I've confirmed, the list was pasted on the notice board at the department.

@realtol, I've not been online since I posted last on Friday. But i'm not sure whether the list was pasted. I will help you to confirm though. My name wasn't on the merit list though I wasn't looking forward to it being on the merit list. If you drop your name, I can beg the person to help you check it also. Adios

@realtol: The Merit list for English education is out. I just got a confirmation call now.

I can see that we have 'kopites' in the house. I'm also one. Proudly Liverpool FC. We shall not walk alone through the gates of OAU Ife for admission. Each day I spend at home is making me more and more miserably. They expect you to do everything when you have younger ones. The sooner this list is released the better.

This thread is the fastest growing thread in this section. And we haven't achieved what the thread is talkimg about. God save us.

I'm really fed up now, the list for English education department that my brother was assured that it would be out yesterday failed to be pasted due to the NASU strike. Wait a minute is it only Great Ife that the strike is affecting? That was how they delayed the Post UME exams for over three months. But guys be careful on what you post ooo! Because I know they wouldn't want to admit students that show radical traits. Lol

@realtol: lol, who told you I don't know anyone in Great Ife. At the last count, about a dozen of my friends are students of the school in various departments and levels. If I hadn't made any reference to this before, it's because i'm quite secretive. I'm certain that the list will be out today because my elder brother together with a friend who is a medical student went to the English education department on my behalf to make enquiries. That is where they got the info as well as the cut-off which is the same as what Muyeskin posted earlier that is why I didn't doubt him when he told me yesterday. BTW I don't know anything about sociology.

@realtol: I'm 80% sure that the list for English Education department will be out today.

@simbobo: Is it your JAMB score that beat the cut off or the aggregate score? Cos sum1 in school told me that it is the JAMB score that is used.

I really don't know what to believe. Is it the JAMB score or the aggreagate that would be used?

Well, it depends on your defination of Public toilets. Most girls on Nairaland are pretenders. Many girls in Nigeria do it. Just visit the toilet public places and relaxation centers and you'll see what I mean. The toilets of the National Theatre, Cultural Centres and stadiums can bear witness to this. They are littered with used raincoats and torn undies.

The list is out but don't expect it to be pasted until the crisis is resolved. The list for the faculty of law came out with sheer luck. Those of other faculties will be pasted when NASU is ready.

What has NASU not got to do with the list? Or do you guys think the lecturers are responsible for admissions? Is the office of the registrar under ASUU or NASU? If my memory isn't failing me, NASU was also on strike when we went for the Post UME. And you guys could see the situation on ground. I hope they resolve it soon.

I heard that the NASU strike is also delaying the release of the list.

Just called someone presently on campus and she said the admission status had been online since friday that I should check my result slip online. But the eportal isn't going.

I also noticed that the eportal isn't going.

I recieved a call from my elder brother now that the list is being released. How true is the info?

Yeah you got it. I've been busy doing some stuff. But i'm with you guys in spirit. At least when the admission dream has been realised it is money we will pay. I'm also working out a strategy that will make me score about 290 in the next JAMB without cheating.

The CD i'm using is the one I got from my dell laptop. I don't know maybe that's why it's bleeping up like that.
