Nowadays what is normal before is now abnormal and vice versa. A guy or lady keeping her/his virginity is now abnormal. Prostitution, porn films, LGBT, lesbianism, nude swimming, gayism, transgender, body modification, threesomes, partnership, women preaching, gene editing, , intimacy gadgets, masturbations, divorce (in some cultures) , nudity, infidelity, In vitro fertilisation , sex robots etc are now very normal things to do while before even as close as 1900s it very abnormal things to do.

Islam does not place marriage on age but rather on maturity and Islam is a respecter of good cultures. Some people mature early than others and if it's there desire is to marry earlier in other to avoid the temptation of unlawful sexual intercourse I see nothing wrong in that. We are just been hypothetical about this but I have seen many Christians guys defiling matured young girl of less than 15 years which I hated, that's the society we are now at.
In the olden times it very normal to marry younger girls in all cultures, Romans , Greek, Byzantine, Persian, Babylon etc because then there's nothing like formal education system and I girls can be trained/educated in her husband house. Christians should not forget that Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ may peace be with him at the age of 14 while married to a Man of almost 75 years, so is Abraham etc. As of then it's okay but modernity has shifted that to 18 or so. In some US states 14 years is an acceptable standard some it 18. Islam respects cultures, it doesn't force someone to marry below or above 18 but allows cultures and biology(maturity, anatomy etc) to determine that. May Allah guide us right.
