LG elections are won by the ruling party. There is no state nationwide where the LG's are not won by the state ruling party.

1. Major opposition parties do not participate in LG elections because they know it is waste of money and time. It is left for the ruling party except for some mushroom parties. Oyo state where I reside is having an LG election next month or so and all the LG will also be won by APM. APC already said they are not participating

2. LG elections are not orgainised by INEC but by the state resident electoral commission. I dont think you know there is a state resident electoral commission. Most of you new age political commentors do not even know.

3. Results are written and inflated by the state electoral commission. Most of the polling booths on LG elections are even empty.

If you want to see true LG elections,tell your tinubu to do real restructing where the LG too will spend 4years and their elections will be done on the same day as the Govornors and to be conducted by INEC

Until those are done,LG elections will be won by the ruling party everywhere 1million times while something else happens in the general election
