A 3 horse race is bad. Very bad. The worst being that it leaves more room for rigging. More importantly, if all 3 opposition candidates agree that this present govt has failed and need to be removed, why do they find it difficult to let go for each other for the interest of the country they claim to love. If we're going to go for seniority, Atiku should have the right of first refusal among them. We can argue for and against his age but that's where a compromise can be reached for a single term.
Let's not kid ourselves. The north will not vote for Obi. He can tell them about a single term all day, they won't be convinced. The safer option is to kuku allow Tinubu finish and then take over as far as north is concerned.
So I really don't know what Obi is looking for. This is same thing he did in 2022 leaving before the primaries and Atiku later said he never told him he was leaving. Obi does not seem to have the temperament and calculative mindset to be an opposition politician in my view

Obi is pushing to be candidate. He's refusing to take the VP post because he thinks he's popular enough. It's very obvious.

See, that is why Tinubu is a better politician than the rest and the only thing Tinubu knows how to do is politics. If it were Tinubu in atiku's shows,he will use wike,when they enter into govt,he can remove him. It is as Simple as that.

And you said Obi is pushing to be the candidate. What is there is that? They havent even done the primaries. Why cant they do the primaries? Is Atiku also afraid he wont win the primaries?

Maybe Obi has heard he wont be choosen as VP if he loses the primaries. Then no problem,Lets repeat the 2023 again and see if he wont even do better than Atiku.

All I see is fear disguised as confidence. This ticket will effectively kill the "turn of the South" campaign mantra. If this materialises, the probability of Tinubu emerging third as predicted by Elrufai may be a reality. Obi/Kwankwaso will be a solid ticket and with the right momentum, will sweep Tinubu away in the South. Unlike in 2023 when the North provided him with 5.6m votes as buffer after being defeated by Obi in Lagos, Tinubu will see a greater chunk of his 2023 votes going to Atiku with the rest mopped up by OK.
