I got 7 pairs when shopping,my lo is 4 months now and I added 3 more pairs cos her legs are getting longer and gradually outgrowing the ones I got earlier. Another thing to consider is how often you wash. if u pile up before washing I guess u would need more.

BS: thanks alot u guys. Was having meustral like cramps pain that were coming and going eveRy 20mins on sun morning. Wen the cramps were getting more painful I went t the hospital at 11pm sunday with my mum and DH. Was checked by d nurses and was told my cervix wasn't fully dialated (just 1cm)that was wen my show came. All these while I was still contrsting. At 7:30am or so the doc checked me and he said d contractions where not strong enough and I was placed on drip. That was wen I started seeing hell. Lol . By 11am wen the pain ws unbearable DH went to call the doc and I was taken to d delivery room. Doc said I shld push wen ever I felt d contractions. While pushing my LO's head was almst out but d placenta cord was around it and he qucikly told me to stop pushing, he quickly removed d cord and I pushed again and my prince emerged. DH was in d delivery room watching everything o.lol he just kept praying for me. Doc said I wld hav delivered since but tge cord was holding my bby's neck. I just praise God .

when I got to about 6cm a nurse came and asked if I have been able to pee and I said no, she left and came back after like 15mins and asked the same question. I told her I felt pressed twice and went to toilet but nothing came out , it was then she decided to check me o, only to bring out thick clotted blood. she called the doc and he said I had placenta abruption and in order to save the baby I had to do Cs. my hubby dint want to accept initially so he requested for a scan to know the extent of the placenta abruptio. scan showed that babys breathing was fast so I hd to be placed on oxygen.at this point I was not feeling my baby's movement again and I was loosing blood Ehn. see the whole floor full of blood despite the fact that I wore pad and tied wrapper. that how hubby agreed o and Cs was done. thank God my baby was brought out alive and I also recovered well to the glory of God.
was told I could not be induced cuz my dilation was very good.

Alright mamas,let me first of all thank these mamas for their encouragements: lovinam, modath, beedam, euphorbia, ifefunmi & others, u're all wonderful.

Here's my birthstory- I went for antenantal on Saturday,I did my scan & ctg after that I was told I would be admitted that same day that I should go & bring my load. So I went back home & prepared myself then returned to the hospital around 8.30pm. They inserted the catheter to rippen my cervix,then removed the catheter the following morning. Then they inserted misoprostol tablet(not so sure of the spelling) & started the inducement process, I didn't feel any contraction until about 3pm, by 4pm I was already 4cm & in an active stage of labour then around 8pm i was checked & surprisingly i was already 9cm but the devil wanted to struck. I was already 9cm but dr could not feel the baby's head,his head was still up. So they rup. Beggred my membrane & added oxytocin to the drip,before then i had vomitted like 2 times then i vomitted again. It was when they added the oxytocin i started begging the drs to please help me, the pain was so unbearable, til
l 9pm baby's head has still not come down & I was in serious pain. Then around 9.30pm I was feeling the urge to poo & I started shouting that I wanted to poo by then the baby's head had already descended. When they checked me & saw it was the baby's head & quickly moved me to the delivery room around . I was asked to push, then they discovered that there's a cord around baby's neck, then they gave me a cut & with one strong push my baby came out around 9.45pm. All this while, it was the cord that didn't allow the baby's head to descend. Baby weighed 3.25kg, they sewed me up & that took like another 45mins,mehn it's not easy. I just thank God that the devil's plan over our lives did not succeed. Up till now I can't sit down well o with this stitch, so painful............make una no vex for my long story o

MY BIRTH STORY

I will start by thanking God and all the beautiful mamas in the house for your love and encouragements.
After I had passed my EDD which was 15april,I was feeling so downhearted and filled with anxiety expecting my baby. To God be the glory,on Sunday 19 April,I started feeling cramps in the morng after mass. I came home and slept after a while,I went to urinate and to clean up I saw a flow of brownish discharge. it wasn't the colour of the usual blood show I have heard of. I wanted to call my doctor but I was afraid he might ask me to come to the hospital. in as much as I wanted my baby,I have a serious phobia for hospitals and I was secretly planing a home delivery. later that day I went to urinate again I saw blood,no mucus just normal blood,I got even scared as the cramps now had a 15 min margin instead of the 30min previously. I called my doctor n he said I should come to the hospital for check up. I arrived the hospital around 7:25pm and I was immediately taken to labour ward,fear got me and I told them I wasn't there for labour that all I came for was check up and to go home. But I was told there is no turning back in labour ward. I didn't know what check up means until the doctor had his two finger going in to check,I screamed and cry I fought like a baby that in the end the doctor couldn't get what he wanted. I pleaded I wanted to go home n lied I wasn't contracting. lol. meanyl the pain was increasing.
all the docs and nurses started pleading with me to be checked but I refused. I was scan,after the scan,result showed my water was very small too small to have the baby move well*surprising * by then I was contracting every 2seconds yet no water break,no blood show. I Later agreed to be checked when I cudnt stand the contraction but after the check up doctor said I border to save me and the baby,CS has to be done. I refused again but accepted in no time and it was done successfully to the glory of God by 2:55 am monday morng I delivered a beautiful baby girl. we were discharged yesterday from the hospital and we are both doing so fine.
