Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari said on Friday he will continue to rest and undergo further medical tests in Britain within weeks, after returning home from two months of medical leave.

“I deliberately came back towards the weekend, so that the Vice President (Yemi Osinbajo) will continue and I will continue to rest,” he said in Abuja. “All I will need is to do further follow ups within some weeks.”

Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai has revealed why the Nigerian army could not capture Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau despite the most recent massive military onslaught on the dreaded Sambisa forest. When asked 'where was Shekau?' Buratai responded thus:

"Your guess is as good as mine because as we are planning, he too was planning. He could not withstand the advancing troops into that location so he moved and we are still going after him."

Efunporoye Osuntinubu Olumosa (often shortened to Efunroye Tinubu) was a shrewd and ambitious Nigerian business tycoon who wielded enormous economic power across Western Africa and political power in Abeokuta and Lagos.
