Hello, I need your services for the design of a 5 bedroom, five bath and 2 BQ on a 660sq meters of land in Ibeju-Lekki. Thanks Hardmoore |
I do love your designs. Can you please do a five bed, four bath and 2 bed BQ on a 660 sq meters land architectural design for me? My email is usp1000@yahoo.com I particularly like the white house look alike design. Others will do as well as one cannot go wrong with your designs. Hardmoore |

I have a single unit of Mack daycab just cleared from the ports waiting to change ownership to a very lucky and savvy businessman(woman). This truck was purchased from a renowned trucking company in the United States with intent to put it to personal use in Lagos. Truck is well maintained and a copy of its maintainance record is available for interested buyers. Before the truck was allowed to leave the company yard, it was subjected to a rigorous 150-point check according to stringent company standards. It is DOT-compliant (Department of transport certified) and is in tip-top shape. It is a Mack 2000 CH613 tandem axle truck. It has ice-cold A/C, AM/FM radio, tires are 95%, all lighs are working, wipers/wiper solvent, oil level/all fluids are new, newly replaced brake parts. VIN # 1M1AA13YXYW19790

Props to the convener of this thread. I received my first university degree from Nigeria and in all the years that i spent in Nigerian schools, i never learnt the proper use of commas as it relates to separating three or more elements in a series, including the last two. Not until I took my first English Language course at a US college. So here's to all our wordsmiths out there. "He hit the ball, dropped the bat and ran to first base." (not recommended) "He hit the ball, dropped the bat, and ran to first base." (recommended) "Kemi offered me a bottle of coke, a box of matches and a jar of water for my camp meeting" (not recommended) "Kemi offered me a bottle of coke, a box of matches, and a jar of water for my camp meeting" (recommended) Use a comma to separate the elements in a series (three or more things), including the last two. You may have learned that the comma before the "and" is unnecessary, which is fine if you're in control of things. However, there are situations in which, if you don't use this comma (especially when the list is complex or lengthy), these last two items in the list will try to glom together. Using a comma between all the items in a series, including the last two, avoids this problem. This last comma—the one between the word "and" and the preceding word—is often called the serial comma or the Oxford comma. |
I am going to chalk this up to ignorance or deliberate mischief. Whichever it is, overriding someone's post does not say a lot about you. Before you crucify me, I once made the same faux pas on this site before I was mercifully called to order. In a nutshell, it will serve you better to open a new thread in which to advertise your truck and let DEMO404 be. |
Luniyi, Quite an age. If it is any help, I am using a clearing agent in Lagos presently. He charges way less than the above quotes to clear a MACK CH head. His name is Femi (adexfem@yahoo.co.uk). Later. |
Luniyi: To say that I appreciate your reply and advise will be a gross understatement. Thanks for laying it straight for me, and in the process, saving me a lot of stress and further missteps. You dont know what you do for people on this site, your asistance is really appreciated. nagode! |
To all the auto gurus in the house: What is the difference between air ride and spring ride suspension?. Is there a preference for one over the other by the Nigerian consumer?. Thanks |
When r u guys gonna get down to the real thing? Seriously though, this governor's arrogance stinks to the heavens. After removing him from office, he should be banned from holding any public office for a long, long time. |
Kindly assist with this VIN: 1M1AA13Y3WW098780 Please email me at usp1000@yahoo.com. Appreciate your time. |
@Fhemmy, what I am saying is that a 1997 MACK truck will definitely attrart better market and price. That they love old models is not in doubt. This is mainly due to affordability. My two-cents. |
@FADAKA: Does it mean that newer old model Mack trucks (1998 up) will not attract good markrt in Nigeria?. The 1983 MACK trucks look quite old and unattactive to me. |
@ Luniyi, thanks. Got isi-ewu, will travel. I undersatnd that Michelle is fond of this delicacy, so I will freight forward some plates to the white house complete with snails and goat head. We can even invite rush limbaugh and dick cheney to the party for bipartisanship. Seriously though, I am having a hard time shipping my truck. It is in Phoenix Arizona and they are saying that it has to be driven to either Baltimore or Jacksonville at such exhorbitant cost. Really dont know. |
Luniyi, I am extremely embarrassed and deeply sorry for violating your page. It was an unintended breach, and I sincerely hope that you will find it in your heart to accept my heartfelt apology. There was no excuse for doing this, I guess it was a combination of inexperience and excitement on my part that caused it. I am not one to deliberately try to hurt or impede someone else. Looking back now, I was wrong and I take full responsibility for the indecorum and I ask you to once again, find it in your heart to overlook this indiscretion. I will remove the pictures and needless to say that, you shouldn't bother with my questions. I pray that you find reasonable buyers for your trucks and on a lighter note, maybe one of these days, we can meet and have some bottles of beer with President Obama @ the white house. BTW, I admire your knowledge of Mack trucks. |
@ Luniyi Glo. Nice trucks you got, good luck with the sale. |
@Luniyi, thanks a million for the trove of information that you were willing to share with me. I have since taken your suggestion and I did go round today looking for Mack trucks. Because I live in southern California, they dont have a lot of Mack trucks, they use Freightliners a lot over here. Anyways, I am negotiating a 1998 Mack with a370K miles, double axle for about 12K. I hope this is a good price to pay, also, are single axles suitable for Nigeria?. Thanks again. |
@Dozermack. Thanx for your reply, although it sure sounded like you are more interested in moving your MACK brands. Being a businessman myself, that is acceptable tactic. Thanx nonetheless. Does anyone have the same experience like mine? |
Seriously, I dont know if this is the right forum for my question. But ps pardon me, its my second day here. I have two trucks waiting to be shipped to Lagos, they are in good condition, one is a 2000 INTERNATIONAL 3-axle day cab and the other, a 1997 FREIGHTLINER 2-axle. My concern is that I have only seen posts about MACK trucks being sent to Nigeria. Do other makes (international, freightliner etc) do as well in the market/or on the Nigerian roads?. Any experienced forumite please? |
Thx all for the insight. I have only read about Mack trucks being shipped so far, but I have two truck heads, INTERNATIONAL and FREIGHTLINER in very good conditions that i would love to send to Nigeria for sale. They are 2000 and 1995 year models in good conditions. Question is, are Nigerians familiar with these brands, if so, how accepted are they?. Thx |
