you think that's how war is? Ask America how it was for them when with all their sophisticated weapons couldn't defeat Vietnam that was using cutlass to fight. War is not about number but tactics.

The people are the problem of Nigeria, but somehow we end up blaming those in power. The major reason why it seems like both previous and existing presidents or governors are not effective.

Romance / Re: Man Impregnates His Own Cousin (Photos, Video) by harmargedon: 10:53am On Aug 11, 2023
malcom1X:
People have been impregnating their cousins for thousands of years. The rich do it to keep their riches in the family. Marrying within the family helped to prevent the division of inherited territories

The northerners do it to extend their bond.

Marriages between cousins often served as a means to establish or strengthen political alliances between ruling families. and maintain bloodlines.

This is not new, na una dey form surprise, check your Bible or Quran or your tradition history books, when the forefathers married, they took wives from their families not outside.

Just like the rich are polygamous but you can't because you're poor.
no mind dem, nah Adam own and Noah own dey sweet for ear.

JASONjnr:

This is not common in the Southern Nigerian practice.

But the Northern Nigerians practice this since it's religion accepts it.

Sleeping with your cousin is incestous and unapproved.
but it's cool when Adam did it or Noah? Abrahamic religion believes there's nothing wrong with it, so if your either a Christian, Muslim or new, you should be happy about it.

Is Nigeria a lone Ecowas?
make your research, first which ECOWAS country had their soldiers ready for war in Nigeria except Nigeria, which other country had carried out their sanctions except Nigeria. It's no secret that Tinubu is a French puppet, that's why he's taking this coup personal, not because of he's an ECOWAS leader. If you have your doubts about the bolded, make your research on which country he visited most.

This sanction stuff looks like a script written by France and US. But at least it saves ECOWAS face and defuses tension in Niger.

Interesting to see how long the Junta will keep up with this cat and mouse play before settling down for actual governance because as it is currently, the country is standstill. The current situation doesn't help Niger's economy.
of course, ECOWAS leader is a French puppet.

Family / Re: Is She Good For Marriage. by harmargedon: 10:20pm On Aug 08, 2023
dlawsamesq:
So I am very confused right now because of all this red flag I am seeing.

I lost my wife early last year when she was birthing my third child and only son, I have had my family taking care of the boy since then and now there is need to move on.

There is this lady I am currently seeing, we are both serious with the relationship, infact I have met her family to disclose my intentions and we are planning to get married this December.

Now, this is the issue, this lady is very stingy to herself. She is an entrepreneur, she runs her own business and is doing averagely well, she can afford to cater for need without anyone's support. She has been complaining of body pains and body weakness for almost 2 months but she refused to take herself to the hospital and when I complaint she told me that I should give her money, I am not trying to say it is bad if I give her money to do that but she is quite aware that things are not very rosy for me now.

I am really confused now because I don't plan to wife a liability, I think I will opt out of this relationship.
never remarry. Thus might not make sense now, but in the future you'll understand. Just take care of your kids because no woman will ever fill in the place like their mom.

Politics / Re: Dissecting And Scrutinizing The Hypocrisy Of Slawomir by harmargedon: 3:26pm On Aug 08, 2023
LocalStandard1:
We most begin to open ourselves as young African people and question opinions, intentions and live styles even behaviors in the society we find ourselves. We as young people most begin to actively contribute to the betterment of our society by actions, words and character, no matter how miniscule.

I will be unapologetic in this writing as I address and challenge Slawomir and his views.

Slawomir made a statement in a post about two masquerades fighting, he said in part....

You see, first of all there is nothing wrong with a people expressing themselves in their CULTURE and TRADITIONS, Asia is far ahead of Africa yet they still maintain their culture, traditions and beliefs, so is other Middle Eastern countries that you know. And for the record, Asians too have their own masquerades together with festivals.

Slawomir said 'religion in general makes you dull' and [s]'It makes its followers proud instead of being ashamed of their ignorance'[/s] Laughable coming from someone who is a proud and glorified fra*dster, someone who encourages robbery, prostitution, scam and many other ills of society.

Slawomir is he who finished the University but can't keep or create a job for self and community instead dived into glorified crime and encourages the stealing of resources of well meaning and hardworking members of society, who toil and soil just to make ends meet and when they gather just enough to start something so as to grow and also benefit their locale or when they decide to trust and find a genuine relationship, people like him step in to shatter trust, individuals, family and society.

How many people have been the victim of fraudulent activities and siphoning of others' wealth? How many more have lost their lives and continue to loose their lives cause of someone like Slawomir and co. who are on the streets and the internet space? What is the difference between said individual and corrupt, thieving politicians who a few of us vehemently despice?

RELIGION? That is the back bone of a progressive and lasting society, we can see it throughout history, but we can also confirm that without which we see the degeneration of the Western society and countries and the gradual but surely transfer of wealth from the developed to the developing societies and countries. It was America that used to proclaim "in God we trust" and "God's own country". Yes, the USA and the West were built on Christian values, used to be based on Christian tenets, by Christian founding fathers who built what we know as the "Western countries" today.

If Slawomir was so intelligent and bright as he wants to be perceived he would have been a law abiding, honorable, productive, and admirable member of society, encouraging and pushing for the growth and good of humanity and society, not a glorified online swindler. How sure are we that his online persona is also not a fraud?

Should we not as intelligent, honorable and efficient humans strive for the growth of our society and country and be real models thereof? Or should we glory and take pride in being pollutants and nonchalant degenerates?
Maybe it is not Religion that is the problem but personal character and intents!

But Slawomir, what really is intelligence?

Some people are naturally stupid

ECOWAS declared war (Military action)

Not Nigeria

Not Tinubu

Economic Comiunity Of West Africa State ECOWAS

Atleast 15 members country organization declared a military exercise, yet you single out Tinubu

.
how many ECOWAS country were ready to send their soldiers to war, if not Tinubu only. The deadline was on Sunday, and yet no other ECOWAS country soldier regrouped at the rendezvous point. We all know he's a French puppet, that's why he's taking this coup personal. So it's right to single him out.
