The guy might be an agent who is trying to get advice from people here so he can continue deceiving his gullible clients. One that claimed he got PPR one time ago, I chatted him to ask just simple question, he said the PPR is not his that it belongs to his client. The guy man started telling me how he has applied for many persons and they got their visa, how he is visa agent per excellent. I ignored him. Some of them are posting to lure people.

This also the reason I asked for him, so I can get an idea on how to plan myself when my spouse graduate in 2 years time.

I am not a fraudulent person, I believe in planning ahead as well, so when the time comes I can learn from another person success or mistake to perfect my own.

our 2 kids have been with her in Canada and they have Visitors record,while I only have Visitors visa which I go and stay with them once a while and each time I go I stay 6 months.

My question now is, as she is applying for her 3 year PGWP, can I apply along for SOWP for myself and study permit for the two kids(3 & 5) respectively??

We have a total of $150k CAD which is in 3 different accounts, 2(1 Canada and 1 Nigeria) of the accounts in her name and one in my name in Nigeria.

I'm askin on behalf of a friend. His visa application was refused today and is all about finances.

His going for a one year program at Fanshawe College, paid $12k out of $19k CAS tuition fee.

He submitted his Father USD and Pounds account with a closing balance of over $40k USD.

Kindly advise the steps on how to apply for GCMS note, so he can do that and reapply.

His program is for January 2025.

They sent me a text message yesterday that my application had been approved, and later that day, I got an email with the Certificate attached

Note: I did the first biometrics for this police character in April, which expired after 3 months and my school wants a new one.
I think because they already have my biometrics, that's why they did not ask for it again.

Note the 10kg carry on must fit a specific dimension so make sure it is not big

I will be flying from Port Harcourt to Canada with this airline.

I want to use them because it doesn't have weight and I can maximise my 23kg well.
I just want to be sure that those airports guys won't mess me up.

According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), minor children accompanying a study permit holder can request a Visitor Record upon arrival in Canada or wait until they are inside Canada to apply for it.

Here are the options:
1.⁠ ⁠Request a Visitor Record upon arrival: When arriving in Canada, the minor children can request a Visitor Record from the border services officer. They will need to provide proof of their relationship with the study permit holder (e.g., birth certificate ) and their valid visitor visa.
2.⁠ ⁠Apply for a Visitor Record inside Canada: If they don't request a Visitor Record upon arrival, they can apply for it later from within Canada. They will need to submit an application, provide the required documents.

In either case, the Visitor Record will be issued, and it will allow the minor children to study in Canada without needing a separate study permit. and l pray your mother come in soon becos with 2 little kid ,it not easy to compare study with child care and working , also connect other parent in your school becos it huge task ahead especially as your husband has to return to nigeria since he not qualified for sowp and immiediately you land start planning about path for PR as many rule changing so fast in canada and student route did not guaranty PR ..l wish you all the best!

My spouse intends coming back to Nigeria to continue with our family business, while the kids stay with me.

His on a visit visa.

My plan is to bring my mother in, so we intend to apply for my mother's visa as soon as we get a place in Canada or after a month of arrival in Canada.

There is no legal limit to the amount of cash you can bring into Canada. However, if you are traveling with CAD 10,000 (or the equivalent in foreign currency, including USD) or more, you must declare this amount to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Failure to declare amounts equal to or greater than CAD 10,000 can result in fines or seizure of the money.

I think it may be better to do Edmonton and then do a road trip up to Vermillion.

Jumping from flight to flight may be hard on the little ones, plus flights to these smaller cities/town are not so frequent so you don’t want to find yourself stranded if you miss the flight.


If money is not a constraint, I would suggest KLM. Nigeria to Amsterdam and then direct to Edmonton.

Caveat: I don’t know your situation so take my advice with a pinch of salt, and do what’s best for you.
