A critical look at our justice system will reveal that justice from our courts has become selective or at best a mirage. A friend jokingly attributed this to the healing miracle on the symbol of justice. You know that symbol of justice is a statue of a blind folded woman. My friend said that as a result of the miracle, she can now see everybody that comes before her for justice. Or how else do we explain the present lack of confidence in the judiciary which is expected to be the last hope of the common man? Having lost hope in our executive and legislature we should be able to find solace in the judiciary. |
Festus Keyamo was and is still in the forefront of the persecution of BODE GEORGE AND FIVE OTHERS rather than their prosecution. The truth behind that conviction will be public in days to come. For whatever reason the Hon. Attorney General of the Federation revoked the power given to Keyamo to prosecute Kenny Martins, it is commendable. The fight against corruption must be championed by open minded legal practitioners who will advise client (EFCC) accordingly and ensure justice is attained. No wonder Justice Bolna’an Dongban-Mensem of the Court of Appeal while delivering a ruling on the first bail application brought by Bode George and Others said; “The EFCC and other similar organs may fair better by engaging the services of calm, deliberate and thorough professionals. These will dispassionately and pensively address serious issues with knowledgeable finesse while ACTIVIST can busy themselves with their courageous noises and commendable revelations.” |
My dad is a funny disciplinarian. one day, i served him dinner but forgot to put a napkin on the table for him to wipe is hands aftr washing. So, after eating and washing his hands, he called me and asked me to bow my head close to him, apparently he was going to clean his hands on my head. i sheepishly presented my head for the ritual thinking he wanted to examine my hair that i just barb that evening. i only realised evrything when evryone at the table bursted into laugh. |
We need Pistols while on the move, Rifle is needed for the house and above all, you need grenade for days like this, 1. during any brutal robbery incident. 2. during any election where there is mass rigging. 3. any boko haram uprising. I forgot to mention something very very very very very important. You know there are some buildings or places you cant enter with gun because of the security bottle necks. No metal detector can disturb your sigidi, olounde, ayeta e.t.c, they are potent African stuffs.

Nigerians should understand that this is what we need.Once our leaders sees that we are no longer ready to keep mute while they ruin the nation, they will sit tight. Kudos to them for registering their protest. |

no place like home. who will take care of the country for us if we all run away? note that if we all run away for 100 years, we will come back and meet nigeria the same way we left it or worse. why not stay back and fight the ills in the society. if our leaders refuse to let us have a peaceful change of situation in this country, god will be happy with a violent but successful change. |
