Have you ever accidentally dropped your cell phone in the sink, or even worse - the toilet? Did you leave it in your pocket and run it through the washing machine and at times it's possible that your friends dunked you in a swimming pool just for the fun of it? Did you get beaten by the rain or did you forget and go swimming with your cell phone in your pocket? Or perhaps it fell out of your pocket and into the pet's water bowl? Getting your cell phone wet usually means you have to replace it, but sometimes if you're fast enough, you might be able to save the phone! Follow the steps outlined in this article to try to save your wet cell phone. 1): Take the phone out of the water as soon as possible. Ports for hands free kit, tiny hole for microphone, charging, usb cable connectivity and the plastic covers on cell phones even though tight can freely allow water to enter the phone in a just a few seconds of time. Grab your phone quickly, and turn it off immediately, as leaving it on can cause it to short circuit – if it has been in water, assume it is waterlogged whether it is still working or not. 2): Your phone may not be too damaged if you take it out of the water right away. A longer period of immersion, such as being in the washing machine cycle, is more cause for alarm. It is still worth trying the following steps to attempt saving the phone, before giving up. If the phone is connected to a wall charger and is also submerged in water, do not attempt to remove it from the water. Seek a professional immediately to ask the proper steps to do this safely (as in turning off a main power switch, or similar action). Electricity and water do not mix and can result in electrical shock. However, if your phone was NOT connected to a wall charger but fell into water, remove the phone from the water as quickly as possible, and proceed with the next few steps. Acting quickly can make all the difference in being able to save your phone from water damage, however don't panic. Maintaining a level head is key to working more efficiently under pressure. 3): After removing the phone from water, quickly gather some paper towels or soft cloths to lay the phone on while you remove the battery cover and battery. This is one of the most important steps to saving it. Many circuits inside the phone will survive immersion in water provided they are not attached to a power source (battery) when wet.[1] To find out if the phone is truly water damaged, check the corner near where the battery is – there should be a white square or circle, with or without red lines. If this is pink or red, your phone has water damage. Quickly read the manual to your phone if you're not sure how to remove the battery.

It’s the season of one of your favourite African fruits, ‘Agbalumo’ in Yoruba , ‘Idara’ in Igbo and ‘African white star apple’ in English. A lot of people only savour the sour and milky taste of the fruit but have no idea what the fruit actually offers in nutrients and benefits. Botanically called chrysophyllum albidum, the fruit is mostly cultivated in the rural areas and is very common between the months of December to April. Just so lovers of this fruit know all they should about it – High Vitamin C Content: Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin. Unlike most mammals and other animals, humans do not have the ability to make ascorbic acid and must obtain vitamin C from their diet. Agbalumo presents a good source for vitamin C, 100g gram gives 25mg of vitamin C and White star apple had been suggested to contain more vitamin C than orange and guava, the friut is also rich in calcium, iron potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, tannins, flavonoids, terpenoids, and phytochemicals. -Natural Anti-Oxidant: Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against the effects of free radicals — molecules produced when your body breaks down food or is exposed to tobacco smoke and radiation. What this means is that by consumption of agbalumo you give your body a better chance of fighting and avoiding heart disease, cancer etc. -Low Calorie fruit: A serving of agbalumo contains just 67 calories. This fruit is very good for those who want to loose weight because you consume more and get less calories intake. It is also a good snacking fruit which can be used to stop hunger pangs. -Natural Remedy: The agbalumo/udara is a natural remedy for toothache, constipation, sore throat, and much more. Also the bark of the tree according to research was used traditionally to treat yellow fever and malaria, while the leaf treated wounds, stomach ache, and diarrhea. In some parts of Nigeria the seeds are used to treat vaginal and skin infections. – Prevents Heart Disease: Frequent consumption of the fruit can help lower blood sugar and cholesterol thereby preventing or managing heart diseases. It is a very good recommendation for patient with heart problems. -The bark of the tree according to researcher was used traditionally to treat yellow fever and malaria, while the leaf treated wounds, stomachache, and diarrhea. – The agbalumo/udara is a natural remedies for toothache, constipation, sore throat, and much more. bro it's not easy to suddenly stop the use of the drug or opiate as commonly called by professionals because 600mg a day is really massive and if he stops his body system will not be able to cope without it. he will start having withdrawals Symptoms of weakness in the general body system, inability to sleep, total restlessness. I'm saying this because I once was an addict too but went through hell to fight it and said I wasn't going back because the earlier he stops tut the better for him. it's a good thing already that he wants to leave the drug but the beat way to go bout it is not to stop all of a sudden, he has to withdraw from it gradually, like example since he is always on 600 a day he should reduce it to like 400mg for like 2 weeks that will help his brain to adapt to new change in doses then after two weeks he reduces to like 200mg or 150 and so on. it's the best way to withdraw as his is somewhat high I was on 200mg a day and I knew what I went through to finally withdraw from the nightmare of a drug and the truth is blame our physicians who strongly recommend such poison as a drug for patients, and you need to always be with him during this process or his loved once . how old is he by the way? believe me bro it's hard and he cannot stop fully at once, just follow the steps I mentioned OK.. good luck to your friend. he needs to do a Lil research about it also, I'm sure there are some medical blogs in the internet where he can read about other people having the same issues and learn, feel good about himself cos it's not the end of the world. good luck again |
