He meant to write obtain and you know it. That is not how to correct some one. |
Ananne, good day. I was at the last naval selection board in Nov, 2015; up until now I don't know why I failed the medicals. Most of us were told by the medical director " you don't have any issues, you can go. The navy gave us some criteria but some of you didn't meet the criteria." However, a few candidates were invited back to see the medical directors, who hitherto failed the medicals. One peculiar thing abt the naval course 23 is that no one was evicted after the certificate screening. My questions are 1. From your experience with the Army, when candidates fail medicals, are they told what their issues are? 2. I have a scar (stitch)on my buttock as a result of an accident when I was a kid. Could that disqualify me during medicals? Thanks as I wait for your reply. |
Essien how far? Hope One is cool and d jobbing has eased out. Can't wait for ur POP.All d best. |
Pls house, has any graduate of uniabuja got the attestation letter? And what is the process like? I don't live in Abj and intend to travel down for the letter. Pls your response will be appreciated as a guide. |
How many more months to go Sub Lt Essien? |
Essien the bravo well done! God will sustain u all. |
Pls any one with a useful info on these: what is the advantage and disadvantage of dssc over ssc officers and ssc over dssc officers. Ur prompt response is highly needed here. Thanks. |
Like the above boss said, u just have to lie that u are single.I am married too, But my bro who is in the military has always advised I indicate single in my application, except u are a medical consultant whose age limit is 40. |
Pls fellow candidates with experience, I have a pass in maths in my ssce and am afraid I might be screened out when I go for the exercise. Though I met the requirement for the degree specification and during my course of study at the university, a pass in maths was allowed in my faculty. So, was any candidate disqualified based on d math thing in 2013? |
U will only be required to come with white trainers, unmarked white shirt and navy blue shorts during the board selection interview after passing the aptitude test. |
I dnt know what states they are from. I'm in Nasarawa State, very far from Onne. Sorry, I Cant get that info. J. Longman, u cant decline any drill given to u or u will be beaten and thrown out from camp like a criminal. It has happened before. Just incase... |
J.longman, he said he will look for it. Two cadets reported again today via SMS. Hmmm... Navy so unpredictable. Again, because of the sudden deaths, cadets will be retested to dismiss the unfit to avoid too many casualties in training. |
Which of the dark subi are u refering to? Is it the one that would always come and call out states into the clinic or the one that was checking candidates? There were two dark subis at the clinic. |
He was not really explicit, bt I know he mentioned sitting on ur head for a very long time. But there are some that I know of like crawling with ur elbow, shoulder on that gravel on the parade ground with ur palms strapped to ur genitals, and they may deny u sleep for nights by giving u jobs at night and even deny u food and water for some time to break u into a soldier. According to him, he said bros ''military bad and e good.'' and that is only for the strong. But I still wonder why boys dey break leg because they only serve jobs and learn parade for now. When next I call him, will ask him more. Probably those fallen cadets died out of stress. |
I am wrong by last comment, Jst called my inlaw who is an Ordinary Seaman in Onne. He said the cadets are practically serving serious JOB, and that those that died couldnt be transformed into the military. According to him, cadets have not even commenced the real military training. If one can survive the first one month, then nothing will stand in your way. I remember, we were asked to pray for strength when we are selected. No wonder the term "MUTUA." May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God rest in peace. Amen! |
I think it is jumping the double wide ditch on the training ground beside that old ship at Onne that causes the breaking of legs. One LS personnel told me he broke his leg there during training. Boss tenderlaw, those that died, did they drown during swimming exercise? |

Faithfuldon7, this is sad. Was he sick or he died due to the rigourous training? How did it happen? Rest on Daniel. |
Yes, not everybody will pass out. Those who will test positive to hard drugs later in training, ladies who will go there and mess themselves up with pregnancy, those who tendered fake certificates etc will be dismissed from training. |
Juliuslongman, what is it abt the doctor? As u know the naval guys at the medical centre weren't putting on their name batches. Except on personal grounds one got to know their names. This is the second time you are asking. Or do u think he is on this thread? |
Thumbs up Jidey212. Counting on u bro... |
Noblealuu, pijay and Essien will only see ur message few weeks to their POP, as they are now receiving serious drills or jobs to get them off their civilian syndrome. So pray for them for strength and endurance. Those midship men promised us brimestone and fire when we finally go to Onne for training. |
My room mate said a friend told him that he knows someone who got the text last night. But I think it's a rumour anyway. |
Jidey212, pls when u get ur msg, let us know. I think it has started rolling in. |
Jidey212, pls when u get urs let us know. I think the texts have started rolling in. |
Jide212, are u sure there's ever going to be any text? Or perhaps they have already sent text messages to some lucky candidates. What do u think? Boss tenderlaw, any insight pls...? |
Happy super birthday Boss tenderlaw! You shall live to fulfill your destiny. Many hearty cheers Sir! |
Sub-Lt Pijay, I copy Sir! Thanks. U have been helpful, jst like tenderlaw. |
Pijay, do u know if they have started texting the other candidates who will later join u guys? There's this friend of mine, though not a member of this thread, who is anxiously hopeful. I told him we should go for the airforce dssc, bt he said until on 16th when he doesn't get a text. Any info pls? |
Larryfly, the navy dssc will be in 2017 after this Course 23 pass are commissioned later this yr. However, the airforce dssc is on now. So, apply if u're interested. Application is free! |
Pijay I salute u Sir, where have u been? Guess popping champagne, right? U jst scarce small. Good to have u here again. Do u have idea when the text msg will be sent. I hope the time given will not be too short for candidates to get their items ready for training. As u know, people might need to sew the white shorts and u know our tailors in naija with their delays. I wish I was selected... would love to train with u, for it would be fun. I rep u bro. I pray for strength and endurance for u guys. None of una go lost. Have a successful training cadets. Now for parade, it will no longer candidates, candidates shuuun! bt cadets, cadets shuuun! |
