Ukraine gave all its nuclear weapons to Russia as an assurance that they seaked peaceful coexistence at independence. They no longer adopted the Russians military ideology and cold war ethos.

They have aligned themselves to Western Europe not Russia. After the peaceful in uprising that removed the very unpopular Russian stooge, Yanukovych in 2014. Russia tried to upstage it, but failed.

Immediately after Russia started to destabilise the country. And literally invaded Ukraine seizing Crimea.

Poroshonko cam into power but lost in 2019 to a non political actor, his name is ZELENSKY he was a comedian but the people loved him he won an overwhelmingly majority of the vote 73% .

Imagine Ay or Basket mouth winning presidency in Nigeria. The powers that be the old corrupt politicians will never allow it to happen.

ZELENSKY was pro Europe that's what the people wanted they have changed and they have chosen Europe.

He has used the past 20 years to reinstate repression and has created a despotic personality led regime, where all power Rests with him. And in effect has made himself "President for Life".

There is now no freedom of expression, no freedom of the press, no freedom of association, no right to protest, etc and any dissent can be punished sub judicially with death.

They have banned the words invasion and attack from all press briefing and any breach you can face a 15 year jail term.

The Cuban border crisis of 1962

In 1962, the Soviet Union/Russia tried to install a military hardware in Cuba, which threatens US directly because Cuba border them by water. The then president of US, Kennedy threatened Russia with World War if they do not remove their military installation. The Soviet premier Nikiti Khrucshev rebuffed him which brought the world close to nuclear Armageddon, where it took 13days of negotiation, military diplomacy, death of an American military pilot, destruction of an American spy plane and the removal of American missiles from Turkey, to solve. That's what we came to know as The Cuban missile crises of 1962.

Question: Russia honored the request of the US then , so why doesn't the US honor Russia's request now ?


2. Fall of Berlin wall 1989

The Berlin wall fell in 1989 and the process of the integration of the western and eastern Germany started. 1989 is really important because as the process of integration were going on, James Baker, the US secretary of state promised the Soviet union/Russia that NATO (military organization led by the Americans) will not expand one inch towards the Russian border. This promise went a long way to facilitate the unification of Germany as we know it today. This is significant because when the Soviet union fell in 1991, the US broke that promise in multiple ways by expanding NATO to the Russian borders to include countries like Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic etc.

Question : So why did NATO violate this agreement? Where is the justification in that ?
