RomanceI Now Enjoy Having Regular S**x With My Dad - Nkechi by Hasselbaink(op): 7:06am On Oct 07, 2015
My name is Nkechi . I live at Obollo Afor in Udenu LGA of Enugu State with my father. For security reason, I may want to hide some other details as I do not want my father to be arrested. All I need are good words on how to get myself out of what my father dragged me into.

My mother died 10 years ago and since then, father has not remarried. Many have ignorantly commended him for having endured for this long. But the truth is that he has practically turned me to his wife. I had tried very hard to make him see reason why he should stop the sacrilegious act of sleeping with me, but he was adamant.

It all started few months before I gained admission into UNN to study Mass Communication. While I was preparing to leave the house, my father who is a popular businessman walked up to me in my room and handed me an envelope containing my school fees and other things that I had requested. I excitedly embraced dad who held unto me for a very long time. I managed to pull myself off his arms. It is difficult to say exactly what daddy told me, but it was obvious that he wanted to have me on bed.

That same night, the thought of daddy’s advances kept ringing on my head, and just as I was thinking, daddy came into my bedroom, forced me on bed. My elder brother was around but had no idea as it was too much an embarrassment to shout over what daddy was doing to me. Of course, he succeeded, and I left home the next money to Nsukka.

The summary is that since then, daddy has made it a culture to visit me in school. Even though I refused to show him where was staying initially, he said he was only looking for the place to apologize. Unfortunately, that marked the beginning of constant and continued sexual relationship between daddy and I.

I’m done with my studies, yet we can’t stop having sex. I think I now enjoy having sex with my father.
The hatred for him has suddenly declined, and I’m the one who is now jealous. I don’t even want to see any woman around him since I got back from school. Sometimes, it pricks me that what we are into is highly sacrilegious, but such thought would only last for few minutes. Daddy is even more reserved and careful than I’m. I think I now have a big problem. How do I get out of this? Can this confession even help me when I keep battling with myself over this matter? What do I do please? I need help

Christianity EtcAircraft Crash: Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor Escapes Death by Hasselbaink(op): 5:33pm On Oct 06, 2015
Plans to eliminate the President of the Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor by sabotaging the integrity of his Bombardier Challenger 600 aircraft have been uncovered.

Facts available to African Free Press revealed that the controversial Man of God narrowly escaped death by the whiskers because his aircraft would have crashed midair if not for the grace of God and the professionalism of the pilot.

This disclosure emanated from a reliable source close to the CAN President  who said that Pastor Oritsejafor who also is the Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, was on board his private aircraft when the pilot dictated an unusual sound from the engine compartment forcing him to make emergency landing and subjecting the aircraft for checks.  Upon checking for the source and cause of the sound the engineers spotted two huge bricks placed inside the engine compartment by yet unidentified persons.

Judging from the unfortunate incident as it were, the plan was for Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s aircraft to crash midair while he was on board. The high flying pastor was said to have been distressed over this development.

The said aircraft has designated parking spaces at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos and Osubi Airstrip also known as Warri Airport all of which are under the management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) which collects heavy fees as packing and security fees.

Efforts to reach Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor on this incident have not yielded fruit. However, a source inside FAAN who wishes to remain anonymous because he is not authorized to speak to the press on the issue confirmed to our reporters that the lawyers of Pastor Oritsejafor have written to FAAN on the frightful and outrageous incident, demanding an explanation to how and why two bricks were lodged in the engine compartment of the aircraft while it was under their care. The said letter has raised tension in FAAN as no one has claimed responsibility.

Recall that in the twists and turns of events, Pastor Ayo’s name was dragged into the sick Nigerian politics by his detractors. His names were soiled and painted in the mud for being close to former President Goodluck Jonathan and for being vociferous in his criticism of the Islamists murderous group, Boko Haram. The climax of attack against him came to the fore when the aircraft which was donated to him by his congregation and some of his sons and daughters got entangled in a botched arms deal in South Africa. According to government sources the aircraft which was also on commercial leased was hired by the office of the NSA to cater for the security needs of the nation. The opposition then leaned on the botched transaction to denigrate the CAN president ahead of the 2015 General Election.

Both CAN and the CAN president has repeatedly called for a comprehensive probe of the botched deal. It is obvious that those who were eager to frame Pastor Ayo for gun running have not rested since then. For now it looks like ride or die for the embattled leader of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

PoliticsAPC Will Soon Crumble-adesiyan by Hasselbaink(op): 9:20pm On Oct 03, 2015
“The APC is an amalgamation of people who are disgruntled here and there. They came together to hijack power, Adesiyan said on Friday in a chat with journalists in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain said the last presidential election won by the APC was not free and fair.

He said, “What was free and fair in the election in which a state was given about 1.9 million votes and another one was given about 1.4 million votes? Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, is the biggest town in West Africa and cannot provide such figure.

“Anything that is built on falsehood will crumble and that is what we have seen about this APC thing.

“Muhammadu Buhari wanted to become the President of Nigeria, he needed the amalgamation of some people and he has got it. Bukola Saraki wanted to be the President of the Senate and he has got it. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu wanted to be the leader of the APC, he also got. So, all of them wanted to get their own and they have got it. And that is why they are falling apart.”

The former minister, however, said the PDP was more organised than the ruling APC.
He said, “The PDP is a party where people can easily express their opinions. There is no cabal and there is no street-fight leadership; the party allows politicians who genuinely wish to express their desire to operate unlike the APC.

“Those who left the PDP have seen the reason why they should not have left in the first instance and the only opportunity for them now is to come back to their original party where they can express their feelings without any ill-feelings and repercussions.”

He expressed hope the PDP chieftains who left for the APC would return to the party.

Christianity EtcI Am Gay, Says Senior Vatican Priest - by Hasselbaink(op): 5:05pm On Oct 03, 2015
A high-ranking Polish priest from the Vatican revealed he was gay on Saturday, saying he wanted to challenge the Church’s “paranoia” on the eve of a key synod on the family.
In two separate interviews to Italy’s Corriere Sera and to the Polish version of Newsweek, Father Krysztof Olaf Charamsa, who works for a Vatican office for protecting Catholic dogma said he was a practising homosexual with a partner.
The explosive revelations by the 43-year-old priest who works for the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith were published a day before a bishop’s synod at which the Church’s approach to homosexuality, among other topics, will come under review.
“I know that I will have to give up my ministry which is my whole life,” he told the Italian daily.
“I know that the Church will see me as someone who did not know how to fulfil his duty (to remain chaste), who is lost and who is not even with a woman but with a man!”

Charamsa said his decision to come out was motivated by concern for the Church’s attitude to homosexuals, which he described as “backwards”.

“It is time that the Church opened its eyes to gay believers and understood that the solution it is proposing — total abstinence and a life without love — is not humane,” he said.
The Church’s attitude to homosexuality are “backwards when compared to the level of awareness that humankind has reached,” he told the paper.
“The clergy is largely homosexual and unfortunately, it is also homophobic to the point of paranoia but paralysed by the lack of acceptance for its own sexual orientation,” he told the Polish version of Newsweek.
“Wake up, Church, stop persecuting the innocents,” he said, insisting his aim was to help the Catholic church.

CelebritiesIt’s Time To Carve Out Biafra From Nigeria - Uwazuruike To United Nation by Hasselbaink(op): 7:24am On Oct 01, 2015
ONITSHA—Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, yesterday, gave what he termed as genuine reasons the United Nations should allow Biafra to be separated from Nigeria.

One of the reasons, he stated, was that the population of the former Eastern state, now South East and part of South South that make up Biafra land can currently boast of over 10 million people, adding that  the Biafran people naturally do not share similar culture and tradition with Hausa-Fulani of the North and Yoruba of the South West as to continue to remain together under one country called Nigeria.

According to Uwazuruike, another reason was that MASSOB, as a separatist group, had all it takes to run a sovereign state of Biafra, having had enough instruments, structures, flag, currency, coat of arms and defence to assume a status of an existing government.

Uwazuruike, who spoke to newsmen, yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State, through MASSOB’s Deputy National Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, ahead of the on-going UN General Assembly, renewed his call on the world body to accord a recognition to Biafra as a sovereign state, just as it did to South Sudan which had been accorded a sovereign status since July 9, 2011.

He recalled that US had classified Nigeria, Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan as failed states which needed to be divided between 2011 and 2015, adding that it was only from Sudan that South Sudan was carved out on July 9, 2011, remaining Nigeria, Ethiopia and Somalia.

He cited examples of carving out of East-Timor with only a population of about 821,000 from Indonesia on May 22, 2002; carving out of Serbia with a population of about 10 million from Montenegro on July 2006; carving out of South Ossertia from Georgia and carving out of Kosovo from Serbia on February 17, 2008.

He, therefore, urged UN to  grant the sovereignty of Biafra to save the people from further annihilation in Nigeria since there was no basis whatsoever for Biafra people’s continued stay with Nigeria, adding, “Nigeria cannot make any appreciable economic progress until Biafra is allowed to go, particularly now that Lord Fredrick Luggard’s amalgamation of 1914 has since January 1, 2014, expired after 100 years of the amalgamation.”

He wondered why the UN had not been proactive in tackling the knotty problems of the oppressed in Nigeria and asked rhetorically: “is UN waiting till things degenerate into full blown war again or to continue as genocide before they will act?”

Christianity EtcStop Condemning Homosexuals, They Don’t Deserve It – Catholic Bishops by Hasselbaink(op): 2:12pm On Sep 30, 2015
The Catholic Bishop Conference of Nigeria, CBCN, has called on Nigerians, especially the media to stop condemning gay people.

The bishops reiterated their earlier stand that gays and lesbians did not deserve severe punishment or jail term.

In an article titled, “Still on Same-Sex Union and the Stand of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria”, by the group’s director of social communication, Chris Anyanwu, the CBCN accused journalists of twisting the position of the bishops.
“There is certainly an obsession by some journalists about ‘severe punishment of gays or lesbians’ and they try to twist the Bishops’ statements to articulate their views.

“Nigerian Catholic bishops are very responsible pastors who do not seek the punishment or jailing of persons who err, but to help them unto salvation,” Mr. Anyanwu, a reverend father, said.

According to him, the tone of some news stories attributed to the president of the CBCN, Ignatius Kaigama, were far from those intended to achieve the aim of his original message.

“In wrongly reading the letter of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in January 2015 to President Goodluck Jonathan, some international organizations mischievously reduced the CBCN position to advocating severe punishment of gays or lesbians with long prison terms,” wrote Mr. Anyanwu.
“What the CBCN supported, blessed and commended in their letter of 21st January, 2015 to former President Goodluck Jonathan was because the Nigerian government upheld the dignity and sanctity of marriage even in the face of all sorts of pressure.

“When, therefore, the federal government resisted the attempt to impose this culture on Nigerians by legislating against ‘same-sex union’, the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria felt a sense of great relief and issued a statement to affirm government’s decision,” he noted.

“The Archbishop Kaigama we know is a careful and pastorally-minded prelate who would not have used such words as: ‘shameful’, ‘barbaric’, ‘madness’, etc. to refer to anyone.

“Our stand was and is ‘no to same sex union’ and ‘no to spreading of the homosexual culture’ which can only complicate our struggle to uphold traditional/ religious/moral values in our country,” he said.
PoliticsSaraki Hires Street Urchins For Solidarity Protest-sahara Reporters by Hasselbaink(op): 1:53pm On Sep 30, 2015
In a desperate act to receive public sympathy for his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), the Senate President Bukola Saraki today hired street urchins to march in a solidarity protest for him and condemn his ongoing trial, SaharaReporters learned on Tuesday. The protesters-for-hire gathered at the main gate of the National Assembly with posters of Saraki and Ekweremadu and chanting solidarity songs.

The protesters included truck pushers, thugs, and Okada riders. SaharaReporters discovered that a banners belonging to groups, the Coalition of Civil Society and Media Executives, were carried but no member of the civil society group or media executive were present at the rally.

The group said that the trial of the Senate President was an act of victimization and persecution as a result of his stance on anti-corruption and integrity in the Senate and National Assembly. The group charged that the time and manner of the prosecution, and the jurisdiction of the tribunal, were suspect. They also urged Bukola Saraki not to resign but to persevere because the allegations against him are false and unfounded.

One of the protesters, speaking to SaharaReporters anonymously, said that he was a scavenger at Mpape, a suburb of FCT, and decided to join the group because they promised to give him N1000 each at the end of the rally."

[b]“They brought a big bus to our location in Mpape and asked us to come and do 'sai Saraki' and they will pay one thousand naira," he added.

The armed policemen at the gate had a running battle with the protesters as they insisted that they must gain entry into the complex. As the situation escalated, and began obstructing human and vehicular traffic around the National Assembly, the Senate Chairman of the Ad hoc Committee on Media, Senator Dino Melaye, arrived at the gate to address them and calm the nerves of the protesters. Immediately the rented protesters were dismissed, some of them were spotted sharing money and fighting at the Eagle Square.

The CCB has filed 13 charges against Saraki including false and improper declaration of assets acquired during his tenure as Governor of Kwara State from 2003-2011. Saraki was forced in front of the CCT to respond to these charges before the case was adjourned for the 21st and 22nd of October for a formal hearing.

CelebritiesMissing NNPC $20 Bn: Kachikwu Recalls External Auditors by Hasselbaink(op): 9:35am On Sep 26, 2015
IN line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s change and anti-graft agenda, the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, has decided to revisit the issue of the missing $20 billion NNPC fund.

‘’We are bringing back the auditors to do a full audit of NNPC accounts. The last audit was done in 2010, so we will make the accounts up to date,” he said during an interaction with journalists in Lagos, yesterday. The nation was mired in controversies recently following public bashing and accusations of unaccounted funds, in excess of $20 billion as alleged by former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Recall that NEITI, the PRSTF and KPMG all questioned how Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, the producing arm of the NNPC split earnings with its partners, and how much revenues they keep back for themselves. Besides, most of the companies are incorporated in offshore banking secrecy jurisdictions; none of them publish annual accounts.

Furthermore, it has been noted that NNPC has not fully responded to Sanusi’s allegations in public, and the terms of reference, TOR, for the recent PricewaterHouseCoopers, PwC audit did not empower the auditors to probe the strategic alliance agreements, SAAs, the NPDC entered into with its partners between 2010 and 2012, in detail.

Promising to subject the NNPC accounts to another forensic audit,.Kachikwu said part of the ongoing reform of the NNPC is the right of the public to know. “There are no go areas” for as long as the Corporation remains a public establishment. I give weekly briefing to Mr. President because the Nigerian public has a right to know,” he said, adding that the first monthly publication of the Corporation since he took over will be out next week, and ‘’a whole lot of things will be revealed in it.’’

The development comes as Kachikwu threatened that the Federal Government may shut down unprofitable refineries after the 90 days deadline given to their managements and sell off its majority stakes to expatriate management investors, similar to the Nigerian LNG model.
He also disclosed that the lucrative multi-million dollar pipeline vandalism and attendant crude oil and products theft business may come to end soon as the Nigerian Army begins the deployment of drones to monitor the over 5000 kilometres pipeline network that criss-cross the country.

Deployment of drones

While the Muslim faithful are celebrating the Eid el Kabir, the Army is putting finishing touches to launch the first set of drones, this weekend, a development that will also see the replacement of the online monitoring of the pipelines, which hitherto had not yielded much success.

Kachikwu agreed that  some staff of the Corporation and the influential in the society have hand in pipeline vandalism. Kachikwu said: “The first thing we are doing, which is the first deployment of drones, will start over this weekend. This has to do with the replacement of the online monitoring group with the Army corps engineers.

It will provide funding for the Army Corp engineers to improve their skills as the main contractors. It will also provide very strong presence in terms of helping us from where we are today. Yes, it is possible that some staff of NNPC inform the vandals and that’s why we are removing those at the depot this week”

The NNPC promised Nigerians to end oil theft and pipeline vandalism within eight months through the deployment of drones to monitor pipelines and movement of oil vessels in the nation’s territorial waters.

The influential behind vandalism and oil theft

In Kachikwu’s opinion, the poor do not burst pipelines because they neither have the resources nor financial capacity to execute such line breaks, which he described as “a very expensive and syndicated process.” He said: “People who are doing this are influential members of the society, who have the reach of the market where they are going to sell and have the ability to invest monies in this whole process.

It is a very expensive process because if you burst a pipeline you have to tap it, you have to carry it to a vessel or tanker; you have to transport it to be able to sell it. It is a very syndicated process because if you burst it and it is flowing on the ground, it is of no use to you.”

NNPC staff, military also accused of collusion

Due to the nature of the syndicate, Kachikwu also said that some NNPC staff, the military and those in charge of monitoring the pipelines may not be exempted from collusion from the growing business.

According to him, “What was happening before is that the same people you send there are the same people that are bursting the pipelines. I will not also claim that people within my system were not part and parcel of all these. So I have a very open mind to realize that as many people as possible are also part of the problems, internal and external.”

He based his conviction on an experience he shared with journalists: “One of the things that shocked me was the first time we tried to pump from Mosimi;  I’d finished the maintenance and I was really looking forward to it and within five to six hours after we started pumping, there was a bridge. People will not know you were going to pump unless people internal were also part of the cartel.”

Dealing with the challenge

Apart from challenging the media to continue to harp on the issue, Kachikwu said his management has devised some strategies that will check the menace. These include redeploying all depots staff, constantly changing personnel at strategic units as well as encouraging the military to all also do same

He said: “One of the things this team has done is, we are posting out everybody who had worked traditionally in the depots, and we are going to try to change them literally, at least for those who are in the mechanics or fields as frequently as we can. We are also encouraging the Army to also change their personnel as frequently as they can.”

In addition to these, he said: “I have a lot of energy around this, we are looking at tracking devices, and we are looking at monitoring devices. We are holding a lot of screening right now. Even on drones and total pictures. Nigerians are very resilient because the moment they know where you’re headed, the amount of proposals I’m getting you’ll think I’m building drones in every backyard, and I’m quite impressed with that. But we really need to throw technology on them, but again we need to find out the cost of the technology.

“But we can’t do it alone with the Army; we have to realize that there are communities; we have to create incentives to the communities to own these pipelines and realize that it is important for them to be there. This comes down to the CSR, we mentioned before. What are the things that we can do to ensure that the people along the pipelines, who suffer from obvious exposures by virtue of their location in those areas see a sense of reward by virtue of being there?

“We are dealing with the Army, we’re dealing with the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps, and the local communities; it’s an integrated model. But in terms of them being located on the pipelines, no, we are going to have the Army located on the pipelines and the others will provide external support.”

Shutting down unprofitable refineries

The NNPC boss in defence of government’s decision to hold on to the refineries against experts’ advice to sell them off to private investors, noted that the sale of the refineries may not be ruled out after all, if they continue to prove unprofitable after all efforts to revive them.

According to him: “What the President wants to do is to first fix the refineries because if you sell them in their current state, you’ll sell them as scraps, so there will be no value coming back to you anyway, which is logical.

“The very intelligent thing to do is, let’s fix the refineries and if they are not performing you sell them as finished, completed and enhanced refineries and you get better value…What I will love to see ultimately is, if they do not work, and I hope that they do work, is to at least on a majority shareholding, the refineries can be taken over by foreign investor who then takes over the technical management, almost something like the Nigeria LNG model.

“So first, we need to fix them. They have a 90 day period and I have the same worries as you have, but I’ve got to have faith. Within these 90 days, I’ve told every manager: ‘prove to me that I don’t need to do something drastic after 90 days.’

“The way it is trending so far, it is likely that Port Harcourt will be the only one that can meet that kind of deadline. If we get to that point, what I will do is to shut down the refineries, of course with the approval of the President, and then do full maintenance of the refineries. It might take me one month, it might take me one year to clean it up and bring it back to full production.

“While that is going on, I stop wasting crude being pumped there at a loss, and take that out and bring in refined products. At least I’ll be saving money, and at the end of the day I have a refinery that can work.

“If after we finish and we think that the issue is management, then we see if there is somebody willing to buy a majority share that has the skills and  market reach internationally to do the work. Obviously if we did that and by then we have expressions of interest, people who are building refineries in this political environment will be given the first right of refusal because they will be able to help manage what is there, help to share skills. I have not lost faith in myself as a business man, but we have to take all the social realities together.”

Subsidy

On the controversial oil subsidy, he could not say whether government would continue to pay for oil subsidy or not but he was certain the the way it was manged was wrong and not sustainable.

CelebritiesSaraki Attacked By Protesters At Ilorin Praying Ground by Hasselbaink(op): 1:43pm On Sep 24, 2015
There was pandemonium at the eid praying ground in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, on Thursday as aggrieved faithful went on the rampage throwing missiles in the direction of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and other dignitaries.

Witnesses said the protesters were angered by the inability of the state government to pay salaries of workers before the Sallah celebrations, rendering some civil servants unable to buy rams for today’s Eid-el Kabir, PREMIUM TIMES reported.

“Shortly after the senate president and other dignitaries arrived, some people started throwing stones and sachet waters in the direction of the Senate President and other important people,”.

“They started chanting Ole Ole Ole (thief), “Pay us our salaries”, “Where is our bailout money” and “Don’t use bailout money to service Abuja politics.”

Before long, the situation deteriorated, as some of the protesters started destroying cars and other properties in sight.

One of the vehicles destroyed is an unmarked bus, with a federal government of Nigeria number, belonging to the University of Ilorin.

“The protesters erroneously thought the bus was among vehicles in the convoy of Senate President Saraki,” a witness said. He requested not to be named for fear of reprisal.

The witness said as the violence continued, Mr. Saraki and other dignitaries were whisked away by law enforcement amid heightened security cover.

Other dignitaries to which the angry worshippers directed their missiles included the Emir of Ilorin,  Ibrahim Sulu Gambari; the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Muhammadu Bashir; former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi; Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ali Ahmad; former Speaker of the Kwara House of Assembly, Razak Atunwa( now a member of the House of Representatives); a member of the House of Representatives, Amuda Kannike; a former National Chairman of the PDP, Abubakar Kawu Baraje; among others.

PoliticsNo Tears For Saraki - Sahara Reporters by Hasselbaink(op): 12:56pm On Sep 23, 2015
One of the biggest problems facing Nigeria today is impunity. It has led to corruption, arrogance, brigandage, deep political crisis and outright murder. This pandemic disease has led to near collapse of our economy, collapse of values, collapse of institutions and collapse of governance. This high table mentality in Nigeria has led gullible people to take laws into their hands and damn the consequences to the detriment of 160 million Nigerians.

This is the reason why Senator Saraki ignored his Party (APC) directives and connived with a useless party (PDP) we just defeated to steal the Senate Presidency. He did not stop there, the criminal arrangement led to the emergence of Senator Ekweremmadu of PDP as the Deputy Senate President. The moment this brigandage took place we saw wild jubilation in the camp of PDP. Ekweremmadu went to Enugu State and told his people that PDP is back. A lady who is a PDP member mockingly said to me: “yes APC won the election but we have taken over the National Assembly” it was then that it became clear to me the extent of damage Senator Saraki inflicted on the leadership of APC.

What Senator Saraki did is unheard of in the history of Party politics. Saraki made the world to believe that APC leaders are unprepared for the task of governing this country. Saraki’s inordinate ambition at once put a question mark on the capacity of leaders of APC to drive leadership in Nigeria. Saraki tried to prove to the whole world that he is smarter than all the leaders of APC put together. Saraki ignored 51APC Senators who were in a meeting and went to do business with 49 PDP Senators, a party APC just defeated after sixteen years bloody struggle. Senator Saraki bribed his way to the clerk of the Senate and cajoled him to proclaim a Senate that is incomplete. Saraki and Ekweremmadu criminally changed the Senate rules in order to carry out the open robbery we saw in the hallowed Chamber of the Senate of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Because of the inordinate ambition of one man and lust to be the Senate President by all means Saraki ignored the President, the Vice President, APC governors, Senators, House of Reps members etc to sacrifice the unity of his party. Senator Saraki compounded the problems of APC, and mounted a major road block for its smooth take off considering that it is just coming to power after sixteen years in opposition. This man put spanners in the works and initiated a serious internal crisis within the ruling party that nearly made Nigerians who massively voted for APC to begin to lose hope. Saraki and his gang of forty thieves devastated the master plan of our great party to choose the right people to serve as the Principal Officers in the National Assembly. Since July 9 2015 when this shenanigan took place in the Senate and the huge dust it raised, Senator Saraki has remained adamant to disobey the Party’s directives and step aside rather he has continued to run from pillar to post to sustain a stolen seat. The lust for power, rapacious greed, avaricious tendency, and slave to public office have pushed Bukola Saraki to continue to work with PDP in order to weaken APC.

But will Bukola Saraki succeed? Impossible. APC does not want Bukola Saraki as the Senate President and neither does APC want Ekweremmadu as the Deputy Senate President. Saraki has caused enough implosions within the party. He has brought public opprobrium to the party, he has slowed down the Party’s machinery from taking off smoothly, he has portrayed us as a weak party. Now is the time for him to go. Saraki has no choice than to go otherwise he will have himself to blame. Again if Bukola Saraki feels his hands are tightly glued to the exalted seat of the Senate Presidency and therefore cannot be removed, APC may be compelled to tear or cut his hands off, so that the National Assembly can move forward. No man is an island, and none can claim that he is the final word in APC .
I shed no tears for Senator Saraki.

CelebritiesIs Kirikiri In The Future Of Saraki? - Sahara Reporters by Hasselbaink(op): 12:34pm On Sep 23, 2015
Boy! Was it great seeing Bukola Saraki docked finally! It took the resilience of a brave, no-nonsense Judge Danladi Umar to demystify and bring down to mother earth the arrogant Saraki. From now on, no Nigerian, no matter how highly placed, would consider himself above the law. Henceforth, the Super Ministers of yesteryears; the Mercurial Governors of the past, who thought they had escaped with their loot, will no longer know peace. Twelve years...12 long years since Saraki filed a phony asset declaration form and he is being called to account for it. In Nigeria…in this same Nigeria where just a few months ago, corruption was not considered stealing according to its President? Thank God almighty that we are witnesses to this revolution.

Apparently, Saraki didn’t get the circular that the era of impunity; the era of “nobody can touch me”; the era of “pull my lips so I can spit” are all gone. He still thinks we are in the Jonathan era when the President could just call over to the IGP or EFCC Chairman’s office and tell them who to NOT prosecute. He thinks we are in the era when the President’s body language and total demeanor discouraged judges and law enforcement agencies from prosecuting corrupt officials. Somebody needed to pass the memorandum over to the Senate President’s office, wake him up from his dream and let him smell the coffee. Judge Umar did that for us.  These are different times, my friends.

The rant from Saraki acolytes is that he is being victimized because he is the Senate President. Please come off that nonsense. Sell that balderdash to those hangers-on who feed off the crumbs from your table. You are a victim of greed, kleptomania and arrogance tripod. The arrogance…is it not the same arrogance that made you to describe your Vice President as an “ordinary commissioner” when he tried to mediate the NASS crisis you started simply because VP Yemi Osinbajo was a commissioner in Lagos when you were governor?

Obviously, Saraki believed that nobody who held a position considered lower than his would ever rise to a position higher than his in the future. So, nobody from Kwara, or from any other part of Nigeria, who held a position beneath that of governor could ever hold a position higher than whatever Saraki holds at any point in time. Such childishness! Is it not the same arrogance that got him to thumb his nose at the APC leadership when he was asked to help the party save face by allowing their preferred candidates to occupy other Senate leadership positions; this after he had colluded with his PDP friends to disobey and embarrass the party in his inordinate quest to become Number Three citizen? Is it not the same arrogance that got him to remark: “the President can go to hell. I don’t need him. He needs me to succeed” when he was asked to go and mend fences with Buhari over the crisis that followed his ascension to the Senate presidency?

They begged him…oh; did every reasonable party official not beg him? But he did not budge. They also warned him. When a man continues to climb the tree past the branches and past the leaves, he is about to fall to the ground. Saraki’s dog failed to heed the hunter’s whistle. Instead, he lined up Atiku Abubakar behind himself. In tow too was the Emir of Ilorin who could hardly breathe without Saraki’s handout. They both told him to keep doing his macabre dance; that they had his back. And he kept dancing. He failed to note that the time when Atiku influenced anything was long gone. And that only in parts of Ilorin could the current emir call the shots. Saraki lined up those whom the Buhari anti-corruption crusade has reduced to inconsequential, political paperweights and paper tigers. He was heading straight for perdition but did not know it. For someone with so much baggage, it has to be the height of tomfoolery or sheer obscene arrogance for him to remain in no-speaking terms with both the President and the Vice President and expect everything to be honky-dory.

Even if President Muhammadu Buhari was inclined to helping the Senator out of his self-inflicted wound, how could he have gone about it? Call Judge Umar and tell him what? “Stop prosecuting my good, incorruptible friend, lover of the people of Kwara and doyen of my party’s leadership”? No. It is not in Buhari’s DNA to intercede on behalf of characters like Saraki who were born with the silver spoon in their mouth, placed in positions of trust and privilege, but who plundered their nation’s wealth and then continue to wear the toga of arrogance and petulance that know no bounds

The obscene nature of his arrogance is reflected in the way he was brought up and the way he lived his life till date. From the day he came into limelight as senior officer at the now-defunct Societe Generale bank, through his entire time as governor and his election as Senator, graft, greed and power-drunkenness had been his middle names. Hundreds of people, including a close relative of mine, lost their entire life-savings at Societe while Saraki was in charge there recklessly issuing all sorts of huge loans without collaterals. Word on the street was that the loans were made to people and entities fronting for Saraki or his father. What was also clear was that while all investors in Societe lost money, Saraki and his father made money in leaps and bounds.

By his own admission, Saraki, in 2003 had N51.5 million in Nigeria, 2.9 million pounds sterling and $400,000 dollars in his domiciliary accounts. He owned at least eight properties in Nigeria worth more than N2.2 trillion. He also owned eight properties in London – all purchased about the same time in 2003 and worth more than $12.6 million. These did not include 15 automobiles (bought between 1997 and 2002) ranging from a Ferrari to 10 Mercedes Benzes, with four of his vehicles being bullet-proof – all valued at more than N263 million. In short, before (and I mean BEFORE!) he became governor in 2003, Saraki was worth a whopping N10.2 billion! This, for a man who did not own a single factory and was not manufacturing anything! After that, Saraki governed Kwara State for eight years. Your guess is as good as mine as to how much more he made while in charge of Kwara State funds in the middle of the oil boom.

This is the kind of sleaze that the Code of Conduct Bureau was set up to detect and prevent. And some gullible Saraki loyalists are crying “victimization” when they are actually the victims of his kleptomania. Rather than trooping from Ilorin to Abuja to provide useless “moral support” for someone who has stolen their children’s future as they did when he was arraigned, these hungry and rented supporters ought to be calling for Saraki to resign his Senate seat so they could send someone else whose probity they can vouch for to represent them. It is confounding seeing these hapless people empathizing with someone who has been indicted by the police for forging documents with which he got elected as Number One lawmaker in our country; whose wife is yet to clear her name in the corruption charges she is facing with the EFCC and who has stupendous wealth far beyond his legitimate earnings.

But if the hungry and hapless ordinary people did not know better, what about the 50-plus Senators who were so vicariously traumatized by what is happening to Saraki that they trooped to the Tribunal to provide support for this embodiment of all the vices we pray that our children eschew? How could any reasonable and responsible person be proud to be led by an entity like Saraki who lacks sound moral upbringing and who is driven by extreme kleptomaniac ideation for the purpose only of satisfying his unbridled, vaulting ambition? Curiously, I have not heard a single governor make a statement condemning any of Saraki’s alleged crimes or his attempted flight from justice. In other climes, party leaders and all sorts of national leaders will lead the chorus of those asking Saraki to resign and stop bringing the hallowed chambers of the Senate into disrepute.

How shameful did it look, watching on television that Saraki lawyer…the obscenely fat, apparently equally undisciplined Joseph Daudu, clutching at straws like a drowning man trying to eke out a safe landing for Saraki? It was indeed a fall from grace to grass for both attorney and client. If a secondary school class monitor got ridiculed like that, he would resign his position. But knowing Nigeria and Nigerians, Saraki will sit tight shamelessly. At the very next sitting of the Senate, one Senator should rescue the legislative institution by moving the motion to strip Saraki of his seat as Senate President. That is the honorable thing to do if the Senators have any modicum of respect for themselves and for Nigerians.

I refer the reader to a piece I wrote on this website last month - “Buhari Dead Serious about Corruption – Masu Gudu Su Gudu (Run if you Must)” in which I opined that this President’s anti-corruption freight train will run over anybody in its way. Big-time politicians like Saraki need to listen to little people like me who give them free counsel and fair warning. Interesting days lie ahead for Saraki and his ilk that have milked Nigeria dry.

CelebritiesSee How Masquerades Quoted The Bible, Before Flogging Church Members-vanguard by Hasselbaink(op): 8:00am On Sep 18, 2015
A well publicized church programme purposely organized by one of the old generation churches- the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, in Epinmi in Akoko South East area of Ondo state to exorcise the devil and its cohorts said to be tormenting the people in the agrarian community was disrupted by masquerades as the organizers were ironically dealt with instead mid-way into the spiritual meeting.

The disruption of the church service came from an unusual quarter – Masquerades.

Vanguard learnt that four masquerades invaded the church and flogged all those present including two of their pastors.

The incident is talk of the town since it happened last week. While some described it as sacrilegious others claimed that there is more to it than meets the eyes.

The church members and others within the town who were invited to the service held during the week went back home with bruises all over their bodies.

Infact, reports had it that the pastors of the church reportedly received the beating of their lives and were hospitalized thereafter.

There was stampede in the church which has a capacity to accommodate 100 worshippers as the intruders went wild flogging both the old and the young inside the church.

Findings by Vanguard revealed that the masquerades, after their show across the town, were heading for their hideout to share their proceeds.

They reportedly decided to pass through a short cut in order to escape the surging crowd following them to partake in the sharing of the day’s takings.

Unknown to them, the route they took led to the church where the service was in progress.

Some of the leaders of the church who were ushering invitees into the church were shocked to see the four masquerades running towards the church.

Police source said that the ushers informed one of the pastors who together with others formed a wall to prevent the masquerades from moving near the church.

The leader of the masqueraders, one Tunde Arohunmolase, who is now in police custody reportedly challenged the pastor and his members for disallowing them to use the footpath beside their church as their gateway.

He was said to have quoted the Bible (Psalm 24:1) “ The earth is of the Lord and the fullness thereof” to the pastor.

Tunde was said to have insisted that no human being has the right to stop others from passing through any land since it belongs to the Lord

Vanguard gathered that the Pastor and those that formed the wall refused to budge.
Tunde was said to have signalled to his colleagues and they overran the human wall, headed straight to the church and flogged all those present during the service.

Some members who could not escape through the doors used the windows.

None of those that attended the service was spared from the beating by the masquerades.
Satisfied that they have dealt with the pastors and others, the masquerades reportedly left the church premises without taking anything from the church.

They later, after their ungodly act, passed through the footpath beside the church to their hideout where they later shared their takings.

But nemesis later caught up with them as detectives who traced them after some church members had lodged a complaint, rounded them up while they were sharing their booty.

Vanguard was informed that their leader was arrested while the two others escaped.

The suspect has reportedly given useful information while the fleeing masqueraders are being traced.
Police source said that the suspect confessed that they were pushed into masquerade business because they had nothing doing and do not want to be criminals.

According to the source, the suspect, during interrogation, said they went round the town and were able to make N3,000 which they shared equally.

Vanguard also learnt that they would have made more money if it was during a festival but because the exercise was not attached to any known festival in the town, many of those they asked for money ignored them.

Suspects’ confession

Report said that the suspects confessed that they were lured into the exercise by one Kayode who told them that they stand to make quick money if they joined him in the exercise.

The suspect told police detectives that they had a successful outing until the unexpected happened in the church.

When contacted, the police image maker, Wole Ogodo, said that only one of the suspects is in police custody and that he has confessed to the offense.

Ogodo said that the other two are at large and would soon be apprehended.

He also confirmed that two of the pastors were wounded during the invasion of the church.
Ogodo said that the two pastors have been discharged from hospital after they were treated.

He gave the names of the pastors as Jacob Ogunmola and Kehinde Ilori.

The Police Spokesman added that the suspect – Tunde Arohunmolase, in police custody said that they decided to vent their anger on the pastors because they prevented them from passing through the footpath beside their church during church service.

Ogodo assured that the fleeing masqueraders would soon be arrested from their hideouts and be made to face the music.

Fleeing masqueraders

One of the pastors that was attack, Jacob Ogunmola, declined comment on the incident.

But one of the leaders in the church who spoke in confidence said “ what happened resulted from breakdown in communication”.

According to him, the pastors were out to prevent the masquerades from distracting the church programme and did not ask them not to do their business.

He said that the church has put the ugly incident behind it and has moved on adding that Sunday service was held in the church with an impressive attendance by church members.

According to him the ugly incident “has not and will not affect the church attendance”.

Meanwhile, a new Police Commissioner, Mike Ogbodu, has resumed in the state as the 36th Commissioner of Police.

CelebritiesPoliceman Demands N15, 000 From Victim To Arrest Robbers - Punch by Hasselbaink(op): 3:21pm On Sep 16, 2015
A robbery victim, Ayodele Oduniyi, says a cop identified only as Fatai, from the Area M Police Division, has been reluctant to arrest his assailants because he refuses to pay him a N15,000 bribe.

He said Fatai requested the sum to “motivate” his colleagues so that the robbers could be tracked down, adding that he was only able to give him N2,000.

It was learnt that the policeman was assigned to Oduniyi after hegh reported at the station that some robbers raided his apartment on Mati Olumuyiwa Street, Orelope, in the Egbede area of Lagos around 3pm on September 1, 2015.

The robbers were said to have made away with valuables and his Automated Teller Machine card, which they later used to withdraw N100,000 from his bank account.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Fatai had promised to send a letter to the bank to release the visuals of the person who carried out the transaction, but had yet to do so, giving excuses whenever the victim met with him.

Recounting the incident to our correspondent, Oduniyi said the fleeing robbers attacked two other houses on the fateful day, but were only successful at his apartment before residents raised the alarm.

He said, “I worked on my computer till 11.30pm that day before my wife and I decided to go to bed. All of a sudden, we saw our door wide open and two men with a gun and a torch came in.

“They ordered us to lie down and threatened to kill us and our child if we refused to cooperate.

“They took the N5,000 I had on me, my phone, Ipad and my wife’s two phones. They collected the ATM card of my GTB account, and requested I gave the correct PIN or lose our child. It was when one of them was busy searching my wardrobe that I managed to see his face. I can recognise him if I see him.

“I was trying to call GTconnect after they had left when I received five alerts 0f N20,000 each that had been withdrawn from my account. The transaction was carried out at the Access Bank’s ATM in our area.

“I went to Area M and a policeman, Fatai, was told to take my statement. He inspected my house, I gave him pictures and a print out of the alerts from my email address. He said he would write a letter to Access Bank, requesting the visual of the person that withdrew the money. I have been to the station and called him on the phone several times, but he has been giving me excuses. He requested N15,000 to motivate his colleagues to track those guys. I said I only had N2,000 which I gave him. I guess he is foot dragging on it because I did not give him the N15, 000.”

Another victim, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the robbers fled after he raised the alarm, adding that they did not succeed in his apartment.

He said, “I was sleeping in the parlour when I heard a scratch on the door. I was already standing when they entered. I wanted to move, but they threatened to shoot me. They ordered me to lead them to the room where my wife and children were.

“While I was going, they were a bit far from me so I quickly jumped into the room and shut the door. My children and wife had woken up by then, and we were all shouting ‘thief, thief.’   That was how they fled.”

Another resident, Omotope Bello, described the incident as “terrible”, saying it was unfortunate that the police were not handling the matter seriously.

He said, “It was around 4am when I heard the distress call. It was terrible. It was the first time such a thing would happen since I moved into this area three years ago.

“We expect the police to be aggressive about it. It should not be difficult to get the identity of the person that withdrew the money since a camera was there.”

The Lagos State police spokesperson, DSP Joe Offor, promised to contact the police division and get back to our correspondent on Monday.

He said, “I have been trying to get across to the DPO of the station to no avail. By tomorrow (Monday), the case file and the policeman that is handling the matter will be verified from the station.”
CelebritiesOMG! Saudi Authorities Found Scissors In Belly Of Nigerian Pilgrim-photo by Hasselbaink(op): 3:08pm On Sep 16, 2015
While most airports have metal detectors, a Nigerian pilgrim arriving in Saudi Arabia for the annual Haj (pilgrimage) next week got the shock of his life when he was told there is a big scissors inside his belly.

The man was going through the metal detecting machine at the airport in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah when it bleeped. Vanguard reported.

He was told by the police to get back, get rid of all metal items and go through the machine again. But the system never stopped screaming.

“He was taken for a scan at the hospital and the big surprise was that it showed there is a big scissors inside his abdomen,” the Saudi daily ‘Al Wata’n said.

“When he was told about it, the pilgrim got a shock. He said that he underwent a surgery nearly 15 years ago but never had any pain,” the paper added, without making clear if the pilgrim was allowed into the Gulf Kingdom.

CelebritiesPhoto - New Species Of Human Ancestor, Homo Naledi Discovered by Hasselbaink(op): 11:43pm On Sep 13, 2015
The history of humankind has changed with the discovery of a new human ancestor, Homo naledi, in the Cradle of Humankind, it was announced on Thursday.

"Today I am pleased to introduce you to a new species... they are an extra-ordinary species," said Professor Lee Berger.

Some 1 550 fossils were found in a cave, and there are thousands more still there.
The find includes 15 individuals - eight children and five adults.

The most interesting part about the discovery is that these bodies were carried into the cave or thrown into the cave.

This means that Homo naledi had an understanding of death, Berger said at the Cradle of Humankind on Thursday.

This discovery would reverse stereotypes about Africa and Africans, acting Gauteng premier Lebogang Maile said at the announcement.

Wits vice chancellor Adam Habib described it as a discovery with a global momentous impact.
The discovery unveiled on Thursday was found at the Rising Star cave in October 2013. The fossils were found in a remote chamber, about 90 metres from the entrance.

A team of cavers had to fit through an 18-centimetre wide hole and climb down a 12-metre vertical passage in very dangerous conditions to remove the fossils.

CelebritiesI Beg To Be Different, I Didn't Go Into Politics As A Poor Man.. -desmond Elliot by Hasselbaink(op): 11:32pm On Sep 13, 2015
Nollywood actor and producer turned politician,Desmond Elliot has revealed politics has not changed him..Speaking to journalists recently, the Lagos State House of Assembly Representative  said
“I really beg to be different when it comes to politics. I didn’t go in as a poor man, I didn’t go in because I don’t have money to eat, that’s why I never changed my twitter or Instagram handle. I do everything myself, nothing changed about me.I hate when people over bloat themselves. For me, service is what it’s supposed to be, that’s why from the beginning of my campaign, I never wanted any political godfather, no one is telling me I put you there, then you must do this for me. I’m eternally grateful to my party for seeing me worthy to be in that position.“I don’t have an entourage, I just have myself, my PA and my driver and most times I do the driving myself. It’s a call to service because coming from a popular stand point I’m not seeking for popularity, the aim to leave a legacy of success and real change, he added.
