Note:
Don't always look at the letter that starts a word, always listen to the sound of the word/ ( initial letter). This will help u know what article to use with any word.

1. Using the Indefinite article with letter "H" :

I've been having problems with this silent letter, using it before a vowel e.g. "House", "Helicopter", "Home", etc.
I've been confused as to which article comes before any of the following words above Either "A"/"AN"

It has been giving me serious headache

2. Using the Indefinite article with letter "U"

We all know letter "U" as a vowel (and on a normal day, The Indefinite article "An" is meant to be before a vowel ), but The rule of the article "An" coming before a vowel doesn't apply sometimes In the case of letter "U"
E.g. "A university", "A unique mode", "A unit" etc.

So please who can help me out on when and when Not to use "An" in the case of letter "U"

Abbreviations is something, one can't totally run away from, whether you like it or not you'll at one time or another face it

Now my problem with this is abbreviations that the first letter have elements of a vowel sound

E.g. "M"TN, "X"L, "F"BI, "H"P, etc.

For your understanding let me put some of the above examples in a sentence :

i. He's (a/an) MTN subscriber
ii. I saw (a/an) FBI agent yesterday
iii. I bought (a/an) hp laptop computer yesterday

The problem is which of them is suitable for that kind of context
