The police in Delta state has arrested two suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for allegedly shooting and killing four persons in Abraka Market, Asaba on Friday, September 15. The Delta state commissioner of police Zanna Ibrahim said the suspects – Abraham Ndudi, 24, from Kwale, and Okereke Ifeanyi, 21, from Kwale and Ogbaru in Delta and Anambra states – were arrested in their hiding place. Ibrahim in a statement signed by the Delta state police command spokesperson Andrew Ania said the suspects were allegedly involved in the killing of four people in the state. He said Ndudi and Ifeanyi were arrested while they were hiding in the ceiling of a major hotel in Abraka. He said they were trying to escape when some police officers apprehended them. Ibrahim also said the police is currently working with the arrested suspects to apprehend the third suspect simply identified as Last Burial. We earlier reported that governors from the south east had banned the activities of the IPOB in their states. The governors ban on the group followed a proscription of the IPOB as a terrorist organization by the Nigerian military on Friday, September 15. The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, and other workers’ unions in the university, have said they are not aware of the resumption of the institution , which has been scheduled for Friday, September 15. The unionists also said they would not obey the directive of the university authorities asking students to resume on Friday. The chairman of the ASUU at the university , Dr. Biodun Olaniran; and the chairman of the Joint Action Committee at the university , Mr . Muraina Alesinloye, said in separate interviews with our correspondent that none of the workers’ unions would resume because they were not aware of the resumption directive. The JAC comprises of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Non Academic Staff Union and the National Association of Academic Technologists The ASUU chairman said the union was not even aware that the university authorities had announced the resumption date . He said the union embarked on an indefinite strike because of its demands that were not addressed by the governments of Oyo and Osun states . According to him , the demands included payment of their 11 months ’ salaries, earned academic allowances, gratuities and pensions , health insurance , promotion , among others He said , “ We ( ASUU) will not resume until our demands are met. Until our demands are addressed, the strike continues. ” The chairman of the JAC also said that none of the three under JAC was aware of the resumption. He said , “ I am the chairman of SSANU, but I am speaking as the chairman of JAC now . The Gauteng Province chapter of Nigeria Union on Monday advised Nigerians living in the area to adopt safety measures following the escape of five lions. The Rural Safety Coordinator of Fochville in Western Johannesburg, said the lions escaped from an unknown sanctuary on Saturday. “We responded to a distress call and were surprised to see a pride of five lions in a farm at Fochville busy feeding. “We identified a large male and four smaller lions. Tracking them at night was difficult,” he said. Esterhuysen said nature conservation and other role players were converging on the area to assess the situation. Mr Trust Owoyele, the Vice Chairman of the union in the province, disclosed in Johannesburg, South Africa, that the body had received information about the missing lions. “We have a sizeable Nigerian population in the area. “We advise that for now, they should stay away from farms, parks and bush because the predators could be hiding there. “We also call on our people to be cautious of their movements in the night, especially in lonely areas because the lions have been sighted feeding on a cow in a farm,” he said. Owoyele said that though authorities were working hard to get the lions, it was important that Nigerians in the area adopt safety measures. Mr Emeka Ezinteje, Secretary General of the union, said that the national secretariat was aware of the development in the area. He also urged Nigerians to be conscious of the missing lions and be cautious in their movements. “The union appeals to relevant authorities to assist in capturing the missing animals as quickly as possible,” he said. Two suspected money ritualists have been apprehended by men of the Nigeria police in Oyo state with human flesh. Luck has ran out on two suspected money ritualists after they were caught with human flesh in Oyo state by the police. The two suspected ritualists were identified as Murtala Aliyu (30) and Saheed Raji (40). The state police commissioner, Mr Abiodun Odude said the Federal Highway Patrol team on a stop and search along Ogbomoso-Ilorin Highway, first arrested Aliyu in a commercial vehicle around 6:20p.m. on August 9, with a piece of flesh suspected to be human part. “Aliyu, an Arabic teacher, later confessed he was given the flesh by Raji for money rituals; the second suspect was subsequently arrested at Idumota in Lagos State,” Odude said. In his confessional statement, Raji, a herbs seller in Idumota, said he contracted the Arabic teacher (Aliyu) to help him make charms that would make him record faster sales. Also, a fake UCH medical doctor was apprehended by men of the police in the state. Parading the suspects, Odude promised that policemen would continue to work towards ensuring peace and tranquility in the state. Speaking during the parade of the suspected criminals at the state police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, Mr Odude said the 40-year-old fake medical doctor, Orimisan, had been parading himself as a staff of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. “The suspect, who claimed to be knowledgeable in curing some ailments through herbs, had been obtaining money from owners of chemist shops in Ibadan under the guise of checking for fake drugs. “The suspect had gone to a drug store at Abanla village in Idi-Ayunre, in Oluyole Local Government Area of the state and fraudulently collected some drugs and money. “A report was thereafter made to the Idi-Ayunre Police Division, which eventually led to his arrest. “Further investigation carried out by detectives attached to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) revealed that the suspect was expelled from the Delta State University College of Medicine due to his poor academic performance. “Items recovered from him included a fake Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) identity card, a stethoscope, a pair of white overall and some certificates suspected to have been forged or stolen,” the police commissioner said. However, while speaking, the suspect-Orimisan, said he was invited to Abanla village to treat a lady, and after he was done, he saw a patent medicine store owner and went there, introducing himself as a staff of UCH, and that he had been sent to check the validity of their drugs. “The lady then invited the police, and that was how I was arrested,” Orimisan said. On the certificates found with him, the suspect said they belonged to some of his friends, who were searching for jobs at the UCH, and that was how he had possession of the certificates. According to Tribune, the suspect admitted that after he left the Delta State University College of Medicine, he travelled to Kumasi, Ghana, to learn herbal medicine for two years, and he became a specialist in treating fibroid, arthritis, hernia, among other illnesses. He said it was the devil who made him approach the medicine store owner on the day he was arrested, claiming he was a medical doctor. Six police officers have been dismissed by the Nigerian Police Force over a severe offense. Abia State Police Commissioner, Adeleye Oyebade, said on Saturday a least six policemen would be prosecuted for negligence of duty. The six policemen have been dismissed from the force after they were found guilty for negligence of duty during an orderly rom trial. Explaing what led to cops’ orderly room trial, the police commissioner said the dismissed men allowed some suspects to escape from custody of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligent Department (SCIID) in Umuahia, the state capital. He added that three suspects – Kingsley Anyim,Chijioke Chukwu and Emeka Ukaegbu – have been rearrested with the firearms which they made away with during their escape. He said efforts were ongoing to recover one of the AK47 rifles which the suspects took away. Oyebade said the policemen would soon be arraigned in court. The CP said: “On September 2, at about 0130hrs some suspects in the anti- kidnapping section (D7) of the SCIID Umuahia cell escaped from the detention facility. “The suspects made away with two AK47 rifles kept outside the armoury for quick response to emergencies, to facilitate their escape. “The inmates conceived the escape and nurtured it into fruition due to the negligence/absence from duty of the policemen scheduled for duty on that fateful day. “While all the officers involved in the act of negligence/absence from duty have all been taken through the Force approved disciplinary action and dismissed from the Force, the officers will soon be prosecuted.” cc. lalasticlala |

The Kogi Police Command said on Friday that the state would experience quiet and peace with the killing of the notorious serial killer, Lukman Issah a.k.a commander, on Sept. 3 at Obeiba. Lukman, according to the police, had killed six policemen and 19 Christian worshippers before he met his waterloo in an operation led by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). “He was a vicious bloodletting, serial killer and arsonist. “In the past years, he held forth in the crime world, leaving many deaths, robberies and arson on his trail. “Countless number of uniformed personnel including policemen, soldiers and even prison officers posted to the state as well as other innocent Nigerians met their untimely death as they were murdered in cold blood by Lukman and his gang,” the police said in a statement. The statement signed by the command’s spokesman, DSP William Aya, was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The police said Lukman, who hailed from Emani Clan of Obeiba-Ihima area of Okehi Local Government Area, “enjoyed a long reign from 2001 to Sept. 3, 2017 before it was cut short.” Crimes committed by Lukman and his gang include the killing of two police officers on stop-and-search operation on Ogori/Magongo-Okene Road on May 15 this year. “During the attack, the leader of the Police team ASP Adetoye Okuntade of Ogori/Magongo Division and Inspr. Ochekpo Amanyi of 37 Police Mobile Force Squadron were shot dead while the patrol vehicle used by the team was set ablaze. “ “Two AK 47 riffles in custody of the two deceased officers were taken away with a total 60 rounds of ammunition. “His gang also attacked men of 37 Police Mobile Force on special duty at Adogo in Ajaokuta Local Government Area and killed four of them — Insp. Maxwell Dan-Zaria , Sgt. Moses Usman, Cpl. Sunday Ogbole and Constable Bulus Linka. “They were the brain behind the Aug. 6, 2012 bloody gun attack on worshippers at a branch of Deeper Life Bible Church, Otite near Federal College of Education, Okene, where 19 worshippers were shot dead while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries. “Lukman was also a terror to his Ihima community as he shot dead one of the traditional rulers, the Ohireba of Ihima in February 2012. “The Ohireba of Ihima was relaxing in the front of his house in the evening when he was shot dead. The killing was linked to the stoppage of Okiri masquerade outing during the fuel subsidy crisis, ” the statement said. Our very own Oyenike Laoye-Oturu, professionally known as Nikki Laoye, Nigerian recording artist, singer, songwriter, dancer and occasional actress, renowned for her eclectic musical expressions and captivating stage performances took to her Instagram page to share her grievances on the issue. Sounds funny but the truth I want to remind everyone about is that WE ARE ALL GOD’S CHILDREN and yes WE HAVE ALL SINNED & COME SHORT OF HIS GLORY… (i didn’t write that, it’s in the Bible). Not a certain few but all… that’s why JESUS CAME AND DIED FOR EVERYBODY and all deserve to lay claim to this opportunity of a lifetime in Christ Jesus. To all the saved people with issues regarding this kind of collabos, I rejoice with you and I thank God that You, that ONCE WAS LOST, has now been found and saved (how quick we forget that.) But could you please just allow others to find, hear about and know Jesus too and be saved?? Truth is millions of people would never listen to a Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, DonnieMcClurkin, Sammie Okposo, Sinach, Nikki Laoye or even Tasha Cobbs and it’s our Job to take the Gospel over the walls of the church to the streets, the clubs… Everywhere possible because this Gospel must be preached to the ends of the earth as we let them know That JESUS LOVES THEM TOO and if we have to work with a mainstream artist to get it out to that man, woman, boy or girl who needs Jesus… WE WILL (Note: that not all Gospel artists have this understanding, calling, go-ahead or jurisdiction to do this collaborations). Yes some of the mainstream artists have questionable lives etc but leave that to God,that’s none of your business. They are having their own moments with Him, they have a relationship with God too They are still GOD’S CHILDREN. Most important thing is WILL MANY HEAR OF JESUS BECAUSE OF THIS COLLABORATIONS? YES.. I am a living witness to this I get many tweets, dms, from many people across the globe who didn’t know me but knew Seyi Shay and heard #OnlyYouRemixVideo and have been blessed and ministered to by it That’s all God told me to do with the remix.. #TakeltOverTheWallsOfTheChurch that we might save some and that’s what I am doing,that’s what Kirk did, that’s what Tasha Cobbs is doing. Do not be a Pharisee in these times.. They tried to stop Jesus too… You don’t need to understand it but God uses everything and evervone..
