Health / Why Carrying Your Cell Phone On Your Body Is A Bad Idea by haykay0072000: 8:37am On Sep 06, 2014
Recent Evidence Identifies Strong Cell Phone Cancer Link

Last year, an Israeli research group reported a sharp increase in the incidence of parotid gland tumors over the last 30 years, with the steepest increase happening after 2001. Your parotid gland is a type of salivary gland, located closest to your cheek—the same area where most people typically hold their cell phones. The researchers found a four-fold increase in parotid gland cancers from 1970 to 2006, while rates of other salivary gland cancers remained stable....http://planehealth..com/2014/09/why-carrying-your-cell-phone-on-your.html

Smoking is believed to contribute to skin wrinkles and aging, and now a new study on twins shows that smoking can indeed cause premature wrinkling and other characteristics of accelerated aging.

Researchers scouted for twins at the annual Twin Days Festival, in Twinsburg, Ohio, to find pairs in which one twin smoked and the other didn’t, or both smoked, but with a five-year difference between initiation.

They found 79 twins, of whom 57 were women, altogether with an average age of 48 years old. Close-up photos of each participants face were shown to a group of plastic surgeons, who http://planehealth..com/2014/09/how-smoking-causes-premature-aging.html

Health / Deodorant & Breast Cancer by haykay0072000: 1:14pm On Oct 23, 2013
The ongoing debate of whether or not anti-perspirant and deodorants can be linked to breast cancer is a difficult one and probably not going to quiet down anytime soon.

Both deodorants and anti-perspirants contain ingredients, namely aluminum and parabens, that are being looked at for their relationship to breast cancer tumors.

No doubt you’ve heard the discussion. Because these ingredients are used to block the the sweat glands, some studies suggest that they are leaking into breast tissue and may be attributed to breast cancer.

Here’s one excerpt from a study published by the National Cancer Institute (NCI):

“The belief that parabens build up in breast tissue was supported by..........read more>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>http://www.planehealth.net/2013/10/deodorant-breast-cancer.html#more
Health / Overweight Teens Face Greater Risk For Certain Cancers Later In Life by haykay0072000: 10:03pm On Oct 20, 2013
Researchers from the Rabin Medical Center in Israel collected body mass index (BMI) data on one million adolescent boys around age 17, from 1967 to 2005.

They then crosschecked the data with the country’s cancer registry to see which boys eventually developed cancer, following up as soon as 2.5 years to as late as 40 years to track an individual’s progress.

The team was shocked to find how prevalent cancer became in males who grew up in low socioeconomic environments or were overweight throughout adolescence. Up to age 17, the risk factors showed significant influence on the boys’ lives.

Adolescents who were overweight faced a 2.1-fold increased risk for esophageal cancer, while those who grew up disadvantaged faced a 2.2-fold increased risk for gastric cancer.

Less education also saw rising risk for gastric cancer (1.9-fold) as did immigrant status from Asia or former USSR countries (3.0- and 2.28-fold, respectively).

Esophageal cancers are characterized by tumors in the tube connecting a person’s mouth to his..............read more>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>http://www.planehealth.net/2013/10/overweight-teens-face-greater-risk-for.html

What is anorexia nervosa?

Anorexia should not be confused with anorexia nervosa. Anorexia is a general loss of appetite, or a loss of interest in food.

Anorexia nervosa is a serious mental illness. Patients have not "lost" interest in food, they have intentionally restricted their food intake because of an irrational fear of being or becoming fat.

However, lay people often use the term "anorexia" when referring to the serious psychological disorder.

According to the National Library of Medicine1, anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder that makes the patient lose more weight than is considered healthy for his or her height and age.

A person with anorexia disorder may be underweight, but still has an intense fear of putting on weight. They may do too much exercise, diet, use laxatives and other methods to get leaner.

Anorexia nervosa typically begins during a person's teenage years or early adulthood. It is the third most common chronic illness among teenagers.

ANAD2 (National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) says that between 85% to 90% of all patients with anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa are female.

Many studies have found that the risk of suicide among patients with anorexia nervosa is high. A study published in PLoS ONE3 found that among eating disorders, anorexia nervosa has................read more>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>http://www.planehealth.net/2013/10/what-is-anorexia-nervosa.html#more

Money, the mother-in-law, which TV channel to watch... the possibilities for rows between husband and wife are endless.
But while an argument might clear the air it is likely to be bad for your health, according to medical researchers.

A 20-year study of married life found that couples who do not argue as much are more likely to stay healthy and live longer than those who regularly row.

And among the most common subjects causing the arguments that lead to bad health are finance and the in-laws, it revealed.

Health / Why "O Negative" Blood Is So Special by haykay0072000: 11:40pm On May 29, 2013
"Blood cells can be given to anyone," explains LeeAnn Weitekamp, the Medical Director for MI Blood. She explains that in an emergency when someone's life depends on getting blood immediately, it's the only type that will save their life because O negative is compatible with every blood type.

"It's the one type that can be given to them in that short time frame where they need it and they need it now until they actually do get typed appropriately," says Weitekamp.

What else makes O negative donors super heroes? The fact that they make up only about 9% of the world's population making it the fourth rarest blood type. And why type O negative donors are asked to give more often.

Foot odour is a type of body odour that affects the feet of humans and is generally considered to be an unpleasant smell.
Cause
The main cause is foot sweat. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates a beneficial environment for certain bacteria to grow and produce bad-smelling substances. These bacteria are naturally present on our skin as part of the human flora. Therefore, more smell is created with factors causing more sweating, such as wearing shoes and/or socks with
