Business / Re: What To Do With His Retirement Money? by hazh(m): 11:09pm On Jan 11, 2010
My idea is that your uncle should relax
a little bite and cool off the stress from
his just recently work-ridden life.

By this way he can settle down and now
focus on the necessary job or business to
venture in.But one thing I know is that the
kind of business he decides to invest in will
be determined by his already aquired skills,
tenacity and level of flexibilty.

I wish him success in his choosen course.

Thank you.

Do we blame them? They are doing these things because
they feel nobody would talk .And alas!.Nobody is talking.

What a pity for African's most populous country. But one

I pray the content of the burble doesn't touch the poor

You can also import things conviniently from
abroad using Graphcard.com services.They are
US-Based and are excellent in this area.

What you just is to simply sign up a free account
with them as a Nigeria and the next thing is to
fund your account with one of their numerous
Nigerian Merchants[you will see this on their website
once you sign up].

After funding your account, you are automatically
given a US Address. It costs $5 per month and this
is the address you will use to ship and send your
goods worldwide. They also help you to send and
recieve money worldwide.

Any time you want to recieve a goods, simply fill
in your graphcard address and the goods will be
shipped to the address. With this, grahcard will
send the goods to their Nigerian Representive.
From this point, your goods will be coveniently sent
to you.

The site is Graphcard.com.I am recommending
because I think and have tried and tested it that
their services is fine.Ok.

To your success.

@Gspot,

Thanks for your ingenuity for this wonderful post
but as a fellow Nairalander with your interest at
heart,I feel you should come out with what
you really have to succeed.I mean be more
specific.

Or better still you can put up a free blog to
do this excellently. This will pay off more in the
long run.

I dont mean to discourage but just things
right.

Business / The Poor And The Rich - Who Is 'More Greedy'? by hazh(m): 11:25pm On Dec 14, 2009
This question has been contended by a number
of people for many years and will continue to
generate public debate as long as the poor and
the rich exist.

The question now is:between the poor and the
rich,who is more ''greedy'' financially?

I know many of us will quickly say that it is the rich
that is more greedy. But if we are to face the fact, who
are those making the world a ''seemingly'' better
place to live, giving and inventing new things for
the world to enjoy?,Take Seun Osewa, the owner
of Nairaland as a fine example of this what I am
saying.

If you ask me,I would say the poor are more greedy.
I will explain.

Imagine a situation when somebody came to life,he
he didn't or couldn't provide something that would better
the lives of people around him.[I am not being insultive
but it is a fact].And at the end of the day,he says those
making money are greedy.How?

Remember, the single and only thing that make people
rich is the provision or improvement of existing products
or services.Check out what those that are ''trully rich'' are
doing and you will agree with me.

Forgive me,if I wrote much.Now,in your opinion,who do
you think is more greedy, the poor or the rich?

What is your take?

Business / Re: So Unimaginable With Uba by hazh(m): 10:40pm On Dec 14, 2009
My guy,it is true.UBA is really not acting like the
''father bank'' they are suppose to and with this
they are chasing their custiomers away in the name
of Account Services.

Infact, recently I have withdrew all my money from UBA,
they want to ''kill me with unsolicited account looting''
I mean they debit people's account ''nonsenselly''.

But my fear is that I think this bad omen is coming
from their staff from their various branches and not
from the headquarters.

They should be careful not to soil the beautiful
name they have painstkingly acquired in the last
few years.

Thanks.
Business / Re: Zenith Bank Websurfer Mastercard: How Reliable? by hazh(m): 10:17pm On Dec 14, 2009
Sorry I beg to disagree with some of the replies of
this post. The Zenith Bnak Websurfer account is,as
far as I am concerned, the best card in Nigeria today.

If you are you experiencing any problem, whatsoever,
just simply write the site and within 3days,your problem
will be solved.I believe that the reason why any site will
reject you, whatsoever,is maybe because they feel the
card is stolen.

Like I said just write them and they will apologise and
and give you what you want.Remember they in for business
and I see no reason why they should reject you.

What I observe and I would beat my hand on my chest
is that most of those guys that are replying this post have
never used the card or maybe they are using it for fraudulent
motives.

This is a card I have used for more than three years now.
And I have never experienced any problem as such.

If I may repeat,if you are using the Zenith Websurfer Card
and you experiencing a difficulty, just simply write the
site and the problem will be rectified wthin days.

To your success.
Business / Re: The Richest Men In Africa? by hazh(m): 4:49pm On Dec 14, 2009
What I just see from FORBES ranking is that they rank
Rich People according to their investment in the Stock
Market.

I believe this is one of the reasons why people like Mike
Adenuga is yet to make an entry into the List.

But I believe that one day,not too long,he will definitely
grace that list.

Nairaland / General / Re: Monthly (Full) Membership Fee: 400 naira or 250 naira? by hazh(m): 12:59am On Dec 08, 2009
Hello,

As discussed in a previous thread, this forum is going commercial, because we are intent on building a forum that is worth being paid for. Reading and participation on all public discussions will be 100% free, but if you want to:

* Interact with other members by private messaging, email or chat (for friendship, dating, or business).
* Participate in various contests in which cash prizes and gifts wirth thousands of Naira will be won.

, then you will need to pay for at least a month.

The price for one month of full membership will be either 400 naira or 250 naira. Which price do you prefer, and why? Please take a moment to vote in the poll above.

Seun,
Site Administrator.

Hi Seun,

I so much appreciate you for your ingenuity in establishig
a Nigerian Forum like this for Nigeria and for Nigerian people.
You are great.

I want to say thank you for bring up this important issue:
the issue of membership fee,I personally[I am sorry if this
offends you] but I have to say it.I dont like the idea of
payment whatsoever in any forum.To me,it is a short-sighted
vision.Let me tell you,the major reason people are flocking NL is
because of the price tag - FREE.

To bring this idea of payment whatsoever,I must tell, you will
definitely scare some people away. This is not to say that I or
so many other people can not afford this, but as you know,we
are all Nigerians. And the most important word to a Nigerian is
FREE.

Nairaland will always grow as long as it is allowed to be free.
Think about it.Ok if you say you want to be collecting membership
fee[whether on Romance Section or where ever],how much will
you gather in the short run, compared to the long term effect of
having a large database of members who are happily joining and
posting freely.Remember the more membership database you
have, the more monetary value your site will be.

Take a look at some of the most populous social media
sites on the net - they are all absolutely free and that is the
secret of their exponential growth rate. With the large data
base they have, they make their money through adverts and
venture capitalists.

If I may advice,I would say you should just be patient for
NL would get to that level. At least NL is Nigeria No 1
internet social medium for now and it would be very bad
if you take this pioneer position away from it.

What I would have want you to do is to build more valuable
applications and resources to make it more useful for the
ever growing users.

To your success.

Business / Re: ''robert Kiyosaki'' And The Road To 'forbes',how Possible? by hazh(m): 5:10pm On Dec 03, 2009
There is a great difference between ideology and reality.
Note this.Ideologists don't care how it works - they just
deliver the burning ideas and feel it must work. They don't
care if they are making millions or billions.Their pleasure
lies in motivating others - they love to influence the way
people think,they change the world.

This is where they feel their calling or talents lie. There are
political,social,financial,economic,or spiritual ideologists.
Robert Kiyosaki happens to be ones of them.

Take a look at some of the world's most influential professional
speakers like Zig Ziglar,Jim Rohn,Anthony Robbins,Brian Tracy,
Stephen Covey and so on.Are these guys ''really'' affluent?
Stephen Covey, author of The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People
has sold more than 15million copies of that book and the book is in
about 38 language! But come to think of it,is he in Forbes[the World Rich
List].He is not,and he doesn't care that much[this does not mean
he did not like money].All he wants is to motivate and inspire lives,
and he is rightly doing that.Infact,Stephen Covey is a managerial
advisor to some of the Fortune 500 Companies in America. These
companies are raking in billions of dollars in profit annually, and
most their CEOs are in Forbes.

Sam Adeyemi, one of Nigeria's foremost professional speakers,
talks about successful living, personal and organisational
finance strategies. He hosts the radio programme,''Success
Power'',which is broadcast in Nigeria and other nations. He
teaches wealth creation tactics. The question now is,Is he
among the top 1000 richest people in Nigeria?I don't think
he is.But I am sure Sam loves what he is doing - speaking.

Remember we said he teaches wealth creation,we did't say
he practices wealth creation tactics.

So for Robert Kiyosaki,he should be allowed to be.After all,his
teachings[not practice, please]has touched and is still touching
millions of lives positively around the world, his teachings has
made new billionaires and inspired others to be.

Let us take an excerpt from one of his books on his autobiog-
raphy:

, Returning from war,Robert went to work for Xerox
Corporation and in 1977 started a company that brought the
first Nylon Velcro surfer nylon to market,In 1985 he founded
an international company that taught[not practiced] business
and investing to tens of thousands of students throughout
the world,

Whether he taught or practiced what he teahes,I believed
this great icon has made his mark positively.

And I am sure you agree with me.

Thanks

What do guys mean? If the president should die today,it
it going to be a case of double tragedy. This is because[i] men [/i]
that be would never allow Mr Vice President to smell
that sit for one day whether constitution or no constitution,
after all the constitutions were written by man,for man.

So I believe it will be patriotic and humane to pray
for our president.Illness could meet anybody-

thing than:for how long will it takr UNIBEN to release
