It's amazing how an interview can be misinterpreted.

I watched the interview on Friday, the guy's beef was that the armed forces promotion system has been bastardised to the extent that we have ended up with over 300 major generals which he said was simply too many.

He was not opposed to the President reducing the number by over 100. His beef was that the country shouldn't be having over 300 major generals anyway. He also said he was not aware of any other country in the world with over 300 major generals.

He was lamenting that no other country would retire over one hundred major generals because they would simply not have that many major generals to retire in the first place.

How this last comment has been twisted in OP's headline to suggest that the man was alarmed by the prospect of their retirement is amazing lol.

I have friends from Ilorin.
My Girlfriend was from Ilorin-- even with her part Fulani heritage, the family called themselves Yoruba.


Yorubas are the majority in Ilorin and Kwara as a whole.
Every Yoruba even knows the thick Ilorin (Yoruba) accent.

When the seaport was built in 1900. was Lagos protectorate in western region?

You remain in your region because of close proximity and access to Lagos with Sea port, Airport and other infrastructure built by the FG.

These attracted other people and you have commerce trade from Igbos, Food and meat from the north, oil and gas from the SS and so you don't need to travel far to get these things.

1. Many bank branches will close
2. Many insurance companies, factories, smes, law firms, architect, will close
3. Many private schools, hospitals, event centres, churches, fuel station, will close
4. Prices of land and houses will fall drastically
5. No of mechanics, vucanizers, builders etc will fall
6. Revenues for lagos state and local govt will fall
7. Ogun state hoping on taking advantage of population in Lagos will hear it
8. There will be so many vacant houses, shops, closed businesses that prices will fall.

If Igbos leave, others will take up their spots
