Ofunaofu: One of the most foolish decision ever made by this calamitous Tinubu government is the exchange rate unification nonsense
Instead of putting measures in place to drag the parallel market exchange rate down from 750/dollar to meet the official exchange rate of 460/dollar, the government move the official exchange rate up to meet the parallel exchange rate masking it as exchange rate unification.
After he must have removed subsidy from petrol without any single local refining capacity
How did we get here as a Nation What measures should have been put in place? Can you give examples? |

I love to see this war already.
Tinubu thought he has the north and therefore he can trample upon Igbos and even wipe them out of the surface of the earth, but less than 3 months, God is already showing him he’s God.
First thing that brought Tinubu on head on collision with the north was threatening to go to war with their cousins in Niger. Now northern stakeholders are already seeing him as anti north.
The union he so much coveted with Kwankwaso collapsed.
Now, his relationship with Elrufai is about to hit the rocks as well.

olisaEze: Nominees in previous times have been asked to recite the second stanza of the national anthem, with some succeeding effortlessly and some floundering. The point is, if it’s a reoccurring question, then nominees for an appointment as important as the post of a minister of the federal republic are expected to be prepared for it! If you can’t be bothered to prepare for an interview, any interviewer knows you won’t bother yourself to do a half decent job if employed. No one interviewed so far has inspired public confidence in this administration. It’s just the same ol’ list of loudest voices, rewarded to inspire the next set of minions. So when people go before American Congress, they are asked to sing their National Anthem. Is that what matters? Is it national anthem that will determine his competence? Of all the questions in the World... all the questions around Nigeria's problems, is it National anthem that will save us. So what if he can recite it? That makes him qualifed? ...and if he stumbles over some words, that makes his a poor candidate. Una never know wetin dey worry una. |

If I don't know something and someone that does says a thing and it's true, I just take the lesson and move on but you guys will always double down on your ignorance and try to shift goal post and spin the narrative. Like calm down, I don't even know you. It's a faceless online forum, it doesn't define you.
I clearly stated 3 points and those 3 points weren't wrong or anything.
1) No tank is indestructible. 2) RPGs can't take out MBT because its Armour is too thick except the target specific places which I included the tracks of the tank.
I'm happy the receipt is still on this forum and generations to come will see it.
Below you'll see a photo of a Wiki page collaborate my point.
On Abrams tank, you asked which stand can withstand a javelin and I clearly stated The Abrams, The British and Germany Leopards because of the Trophy AMD produced by Israel. Did you research what I said to see if I was wrong? No. what did you do instead, spin it around to how no tank is indestructible which I quickly agreed with you. Again below is a page on the manufacturer site, you can read about the defense system. It's meant to protect tanks from ATGM which includes the javelin. I even ask you if America and its European allies were stupid enough to install a system that added weight to their tanks that don't work.
All these are here. That you didn't know and I knew somehow makes you feel insecure and you're talking about confidence and arrogance.
Everything I've said on this forum are facts and I am confident in my stand to defend it anywhere. If that is arrogance to you, I don't know what to tell you How are your Leopard and Challenger Tanks doing with all the APS bullshit? ...burning like every other Tank! |

MikeofKd: Both Boys and girls that are extremely pretty has experienced the pretty privileges before and no doubt benefit a lot from it in most cases very unexpected ways. I’ve a had a few pretty boy privileges. But certain people choose to think they aren’t real lol or don’t work , they are very real I tell you. So I have experienced a few pretty boy privileges and one of them was when I went to a buka (restaurant) to eat and the girl that served me my plate ,served my food with extra meats , it happened like 4 different times before I knew that the pretty privilege was really at work. Cause anytime I went there to eat , no matter how plenty customers were , she would make sure she served me first lol. Later got her number the 5th time I went there to eat ,shawtie was blushing lol. We started talking and I started getting free food , shawtie would even package takeaway for me most times after I finished eating there. Lol I was treated like a king there ,even her momsy treated me special too. I just knew pretty boy privilege was at work. Omo me I just played along as long as say free food Dey inside the matter, kilo kan mi. Other experiences I’ve had was one time ,I went out to shop rite and I saw different girls staring at me (mostly average looking girls but still hot sha )not to brag lol but I felt embarrassed and went to the bathroom to check myself in the mirror cause I felt my clothes or something was making them stare at me lol. But nothing was wrong with my clothes ,I was looking good ,that was it ,pretty boy P. Got a girl’s number that day cause she approached me with some mind blowing pick up line. She came over the next following week and we had some insane kinda sex.
The pretty privilege exists very well , but don’t be overly dependent on it cause it could backfire sometimes too lol , so just work hard ,make money ,take extra good care of your appearance , I feel like the best investment is to invest in oneself , and looks should also be a priority cause it definitely pays yo!
So y’all should pls share your pretty privileges. What happens when you grow old(er) and lose the priviledge? Go work oga and become the best you can be. Leave preening for women. ...except you are one identifying as a man. |

Mumu Pele's World Cup is obviously greater than Messi's And Messi's World Cup is greater than Ronaldo's none. Including his 7 Ballon D'ors , multiple golden boots and his more goals and assists than anyone living. When 2 or 3 players are neck-to-neck in 'competition,' you look at the meaningful advantage one has over another. Winning a top 5 National League is not one of them. To bring up winning the Premier League as a yardstick for who is the better player is simply laughable. Abemy: Lack of trust in our government and her institutions, and vested interest by some prominent Igbos and non Igbos is what is encouraging the continuous insecurity in the south Eastern Nigeria.
As a non Igbo man, residing in different parts of Igbo land in the past thirteen years for now. I can tell you that, lack of trust is a serious issue here. The locals know these boys (unknown gunmen) by names, if they feel free with you, just pretend to be in support, they will devulg ample details to you.
But the fear of how such informations could be handled by the authority, insincerety by the government and security agencies, etc make the locals to keep the information to themselves.
Many people who escaped from these unknown gunmen camps across the south Eastern region, do recognize these people, when they see them roaming the street as normal civilias, but are helpless due government cum institutional faliure.
Politicians also have various vested interest in the crisis. The few gullibly brainwashed ones are cawords and would have been easily tammed.
80% Igbos are no longer in support of this madness as they never see things turning this way when they initially supported this course.

franchasofficia: Who said everybody envies Igbos? Those are over exaggerated fallacies being told and retold to still portray Igbos as the evil.
You know for many decades before the advent of social media, virtually every other Nigerian tribes didn't fancy Igbos and saw Igbos as the evil doers, which was based mostly on media publications that were hitherto controlled by Southwesterners, but if you observe since 2022, other Nigerian tribes no longer see Igbos as bad as Igbos were painted after the civil war.
This was evident in how the minority tribes in Nigeria voted in the just concluded 2023 election compared to past elections.
Middlebelt people use to despise Igbos since the 1960s based on how the then Hausa-Fulani controlled federal government portrayed Igbos as the evil doers that only spread evil, but all that has changed today as Middlebelt people have come to realize the truth and now knowing who their true friends and enemies are. Or you didn't know Middlebelt championed the 1966 pogrom against Igbos based on how Hausa-Fulanis falsely portrayed Igbos as evildoers?
Before now, many minority tribes got hoodwinked into disliking Igbos mostly based on stories of how Igbos killed Northern l, Western, etc political leaders in the January 1966 coup and again based on the lies that Igbos started a civil war to destroy other Nigerians out of their greed to dominate Nigeria. This false mantra of Igbos are arrogant, prideful and love to dominate other tribes were repeatedly told by the Nigerian media causing every other none Igbo tribe to hate Igbos and always watching Igbos closely to know the next evil they maybe plotting against the rest of Nigeria.
This is the origin of the comment you made that which other tribe likes Igbos, its all about 1966 to 1970 events which erroneously shaped the mindset of most none Igbo Nigerians about Igbos. You still hold that sentiment to some extent despite mixing with Igbos since childhood.
Which Nigerian tribe doesn't have one negative thing to say about the other tribes?
So Yorubas don't use Omo Igbo derogatory remarks? Igbos are rituals whenever they see a successful Igbo person despite Ijebu Ode and Ogun state in general being the headquarters of ritual killings for decades in Nigeria? What about Omo Igbo and fake products derogatory remark even when the Omo Igbo they visited his shop would tell them that this one is fake, this one is original with a higher price and after opting for the cheaper one cos of price would rather blame omo igbo for selling fake but will never blame or hate Chinese that are the fathers of fake and counterfeit?
Let's leave the rhetorical back and forth argument and move on.
But if you are honest to yourself sir, if it was Igbos that produced Obasanjo from 1999 to 2006, Osinbajo from 2015 to 2023, after producing other shortlived Presidents and later recognized MKO, that still insisted to produce another President in 2023 when Yorubas haven't produced any since 1967, tell me if Yorubas wouldn't be telling the whole world and all that wished to hear that Igbos are so selfish, wicked, arrogant and love dominating everybody? Tell me what you have to say about this? So the South-West is once again responsible for the potrayal of Igbos? There you go again... Potrayal of Igbos in India, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa... ? Potrayal of Igbos in the Northern-Nigeria? Potrayal of Igbos in the South-South. Yorubas caused this? Are you serious?🤣 So you have mentioed the last election... So you know, Obi was not voted because he was Igbo... He was voted because he was Peter Obi. When the next election comes about, let any other Igbo man contest and lets see how popular he us. Don't get it twisted. So what is wrong in calling someone 'Omo Ibo?' Don't you call Hausas Aboki or Mallam. Don't I get called Ofe Mmanu? So let's go back to the first coup... Sugar-coat it as much as you want, but it was an Igbo coup. When the smoke settled, everyone could see what had happened. Azikiwe was conveniently outside the Country, while Tafawa Balewa, Akintola, Okotieh Eboh and Ahmadu Bello were slaughtered. Or you believe Zik didn't have foreknowledge? Maybe it was Ifeajuna that caused it, maybe not, but that's how it looked then and that's how it looks now. Igbos jubilated in the North after the Coup.. Rubbed more shit in their wounds. Ironsi seized power, dissolved the regional governments, (only) jailed the coupist whilst still paying them their salaries. So there was no more Northern Premier or Prime Minister, but now a Head of State from the region that didn' lose any political leader. You self think am. If the same happend to you now, your Kin would have done worse. So, if that is not seizing power, I don't know what else is. I don't get your point in saying the Middle Belt instigated the Pogrom? The core north did and everyone knows that? Tell you what.. The young boy I was, thought Nzeogwu was a hero. It took an Igbo friend, to let me see he was a power drunk young officer who in a moment of indiscretion caused the death of hundreds on that night and consequently millions from the aftermath. You have also mentioned Yorubas ruling before and how it would be fair to have Igbos rule now... Alhtough I supported Obi, but politics is not about fairness. You lobby, campaign, form alliances and fight for what you want. It is strategic and not impulsive. In the 8 years before the last elections, valuable energy was spent insulting the Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba slaves... You think they will then suddenly forget and vote your Son in? Have you kin not heard of 'stooping to conquer' Instead of forming more alliances, Obidients, a good portion of which were Igbos burnt more bridges. Anybody insultable, was insulted... People of other tribes, politicians, artistes, business men, religious leaders, footballers, Journalists... Anybody and everybody! So long you were not for Obi. Where was the sense in that? Politics is not about qualifications, but alliances. I am sorry to say, but Obidients came across as vile and uncouth. Obi is presidential material, but too much damage had been done by the kind of politicking his supporters played. As man evolved, he found out that alliances win battles and not sticks. Tinubu won because he understood this and Obidients lost because they didn't You claim I still hold sentiments. Should I tell you that I dated an Igbo girl and loved her to bits and that my Sister was serious with an Igbo guy? ...and I know Igbo girls in Lagos that have sworn to never marry Igbo men. See, no one is out to get you. In the end, you will attract what you think. Think negative enough, you start experiencing what you think everywhere. |

franchasofficia: First I must thank you for your awesome comment and civility in your comment, I really appreciate that, well done sir.
That issue of some Igbo tenants bringing in more occupants in their flat after renting a flat as maybe a family of 5 is mostly common among traders who have servants known in Igbo dialect as "umu boi". I understand its a bad practice, I also condemn the act cos I believe the Oga ought to rent a house for his extra servants, not bringing 3 to 5 grown up boys into a single flat, its completely bad.
But this does not in any way mean disrespecting Lagos indigenes or their host because such Igbo tenants that bring extra occupants to their flats as his servants or boys also do same to Igbo landlords and other tribes' landlords, not just to Yoruba landlords only.
The only way Yorubas could claim Igbos don't respect their Lagos host is if Igbos do gather and invade a community in Lagos to forcefully or violently chase them out and take over their land and refuse to vacate just as Fulani herdsmen do to Yorubas in many Yoruba communities yet I have never heard Yorubas cry about this or condemn it except when Igboho challenged them 2 years ago.
Neither have Igbos ever dragged Oba title with Lagosians in Lagos. No Igbo have even contested to become Lagos Governor, all the contestants Lagos APC always tag Igbo are all bonafide Yoruba sons.
Before it was Jimi Agbaje they tagged Igbo, this year it was GRV, who knows who will be next, maybe Bola Tinubu's grandson with some Igbo blood in decades to come? Or maybe Femi Fani Kayode's sons from his Igbo wife, who knows who will be the next target of their ethnic profiling politics?
Now on the issue of giving back to Lagos community that helped in making me who I am today, I employ Yorubas, near my office, there are two Yoruba aged women (around 60 to 70) who own petty shops near my office, I do always give them things every festive period and they always call me their son. Our relationship is so cordial to the extent that there was a time I traveled and didn't come to work for like a month, when I returned they came to my personal office to ask me what happened that they had been asking about me.
I also once gave back to the community I did my NYSC in Osun state, though it was once but I planning to start something sustainable there soon by God's grace.
As for Lagos, I had a bigger plans before the election, since after the last governorship election in Lagos, I started having a rethink out of fear. I have been so skeptical of Lagos. Not just me but a lot of other Igbo friends and colleagues who even own bigger properties in Lagos have already started thinking of selling them off out of fear of the unknown.
Before now, most Igbos see Lagos as their second home, including the ones staying abroad but honestly the last election has put serious fear and discomfort in the hearts of most Igbos about Lagos. I grew up with Igbos from Primary School to University. Somr of my best friends were Igbos. My room mate for 7 years in Uni is Igbo. I never for once saw him as any different, not once. My Parents, till now still ask about him. I lived and worked in Lagos for a while and had Igbo friends, acquaintances and colleagues... We all interacted well without Tribalism being a cause for any disagreement (if any arose). ...and I never saw anybody, I repeat, anybody treat any Igbo person wrong just on the premise of where they came from. Not once! If there were disagreements, it was just because people disagreed. Although, I wouldn't absolve Yoruba people totally in the current divisive state we are in now, but the mentality the Igbos have that everyone is out to get them and the need to brag needlessly is very damaging. When it appears everyone hates you, maybe there is something about yourself you need to change. Maybe it is not just them, but you. Yourbas gave back abandoned Property to Igbos after the War? Even paying them rent accrued. I know Yorubas that would only buy from Igbo Traders (in those days) Yet the only thing ascribed to Yorubas is hate, envy, laziness, dirtiness, partying... or bragging about how you were the ones to make their community. Or how they will suffer when you leave. I live abroad now and I will be stupid if I started saying such things about the Indigenes. If I was stupid enough to do that, then anything my eye see, I should accept. Heck, where do Igbos have a good reputation in Nigeria or abroad? Why does everybody 'envy' you? Are we all that bad? |

sukkot: but let me ask you, what was obi selling point that attracted you initially ? 1. I felt he was not corrupt 2. We needed low cost of governance and he seemed to symbolize this. 3. 'They' made it appear he did fairly well as Governor 4. He seemed to have reasonable ideas on how to move the Country forward. 5. The other major contestants, were from the old guard and I was tird of their politics. Atiku was a big no for me. Tinubu, although smart and politically astute, I felt was corrupt. I now understand that politics is dirty and you have to be willing to play dirty to get thr job done. The UK, US... and Europe generally have played the dirtiest politics in the past hundreds of years and have all to show for it. In the end, what matters is results. Now to Obi... Although I am Christian, I was very uncomfortable when I saw him running from Church-to- Church, kneeling down and carrying flag. He was contesting for President of the Country for crying out loud, what about the Muslims? Even if APC did Muslim-Muslim ticket, why make it worse? I was even more uncomforrable when I listened to the 'yes daddy' conversation. Made me think he was a big pretender. Then the bile his kin showed when it 'appeared' he was winning and when he won Lagos made my eye clear. ...and how they wanted to foist an unqualified GVR on us made me start wondering. I could argue for Obi, but who the F is GVR? Seemed all like a big scheme. Suddenly those that were for IPOB suddenly were all for Obi. Sit at home tailed off. UGM attacks stopped... I believe my judgement was just wrong on the matter. |

alobright17: You wished Lagos change government from which party to which one exactly? From Sanwoolu to the vastly inexperienced Gbadebo Vivour-Rhodes. Imagine putting someone who has never managed anything in his life over an econkmy larger than most African Countries? ...and this, only because of sentiments. Is that not crass foolishness? Eventhough I supported Obi in the last election, which I have now come to regret due to the bile his pepole have since shown constantly, I never would have supported GVR. Never! GVR over Sanwoolu? Is that not madness? |
