Change has always and will always remain a constant. The business climate in Nigeria has shaken up the nook and cranny of the nation more than ever. Not just man's foremost daily need has hiked, it's forerunner which is housing is as great a concern. How I wish there are Nigerian state specific platforms one can get accurate and well updated information about everyday living cost ranging from food, housing, clothing, healthcare and so on in a state. Nevertheless, what I have at my disposal I use to urge Nigerians to help not just myself but other Nigerians and non Nigerians with informations on rents of accomodations in Lagos State specifically in the City of Ikeja being the state capital.
The state capital's living standard anywhere is a standard for measuring the living standard of the rest of the cities in a state.

I had a similar challenge. my accommodation was cancelled because I couldn't pay on time. and I was delaying payment because my application wasn't yet concluded. but once I got a positive decision, i immediately informed my tutor student about my accommodation challenge and within six hours, I was given another accommodation. Am now in Kuopio.

Send a mail and chat your tutor student, they will help you.

Anyone here already in Espoo who can help with accommodation because the one month private rental I arranged was cancelled as I was asked to pay six month rent as he could no longer rent for just a month. I am already in Finland, Espoo city and I am not finding it funny.

the journey na 2014 him start, i couldn't continue because of incomplete docs.

after uaf bleeping my admission chances with there [b]we suspect the transcript might have been opened ish[/b]on the two occasions my transcript was sent. i kept receiving rejection letter from the universities i applied to, not until i was surprised with an admission letter which i wasn't expecting from the last school.

my time line

Submitted online application on the 6/7/2016

was suppose to visit the embassy on 22/7/2016 survived a road crash with just minor injuries hence couldn't make it for the interview. i had to reschedule for on 23/07/2016 at the embassy without informing them

my application moved to in progress on 15/07/2016

i got a positive decision on my application on 18/07/2016

my rp + decision reached abuja on 25/07/2016

my birthday was on 31/07/2016 my last birthday for naija. yekpa

my rp card + decision got to me today 01/08/2016

Boss, you wont get anything cheaper than what Ayy or Hoas will offer. Moreover, all apartments in Otaniemi belong to either hoas or Ayy.

AYY has a few apartments below 200 and a little bit above. Hopefully you get one of those. DO you have your RP already? You can send them an email reiterating when you will arrive so they can make you an offer soon. For AYY, you can quietly ask that you want something around 200 euros considering your budget. I know you can specify range for HOAS as well.

Best way to save money is to secure any of these offers and then when you arrive, you can get someone to share with to save cost, that is if you're lucky enough not to share apartment with guys who would report you.

@sir iceberg54, i am going to Aalto, otaniemi campus. I am at the moment searching for alternative budget accomodation while awaiting Hoas and Ayy offer as a progamme i applied for will commence in august. I will be most grateful for any advice or assistance from you sir.

if you are going to use your mom as sponsor, you will need her bank statement for 6 months. meaning if you apply in June, you need her statement from Jan to June this year, so looking for someone to transfer the funds now doesnt really make much sense except you are planning to apply in august or september.
btw, what do you mean by 'her bank account statement is very poor'? since she is employed, the most important thing is there is flow of cash into the account, and she has a business along side. so i dont think you need anyone to transfer funds to your mom

Respect to all the bosses in the house. I got to know about this thread not long. Please i will be very grateful for your englightenment on these finland RP issue bothering me as i have gone through the thread and have seen the excellent intellectual work here. I need your advice gaaaani. I have more than €6720 (acc bal: #1.700000) for resident permit in my account as required by the finnish embassy and i desire to use mum as my sponsor but her account statement is very very poor. I and mum have been looking for people who can help transfer #1.500000 into her account for five month (atleast till i get the RP) since i got most of the money in my account from her which is the money she got from the cooperative society she belongs to with monthly deduction from her salary of which reflects on her monthly payslip. Some of the money from her are also from the landed property she owns. She recently registered her company though not in operation yet but the necessary documents are in place(just saying this if it might be of help) At the moment we are still making calls and looking out for people who can help but as at now no one is really willing to help out with that and time is running out. This is the bank statement predicament i have, please advise me.
