Thanks bro! I have bben able get my username back. I did it all by myself and i have also secured my account with the two way authentication factor. Hopefully,am safe now,but am still monitoring my acct. Phew! What a day n horrible experience

Is it that some people cannot comment without quoting? Especially loooong epistles. two way authentication as really helped me, like a week ago, at my work place, i logged on a colleague's pc and he went back after me to check chrome settings and saw my password, he tried to log in but he was prompted for a secret code sent to my phone, i saw the code and opened my facebook, saw a log in alert from the pc location at our work place, the time, and date and i asked him if he was browsing through chrome that time he confessed and said he tried checking my facebook and apologized, if i had not used the two way, i wouldnt be saying this now.... so bro the ball is in your court

Am just seeing this now. I will wait ir out...no more browsing from other websites. U have been of great help. So grateful. Its really sad seeing dat all my pix n personal info is gone. The idiot even blocked some of my contact and deleted a lot of dem. I had to restore everything again. I just pray am fee from him cos every min i feel he mite try to log in again n cause havoc cos i dont even know hw he did dat initially.

i will advice you go back to Facebook lite maybe you will be able to modify the name because it seem Facebook lite is a little different from Facebook

Firstly am sorry about what your facing, yeah according to facebook policies you can only change your name every 60 days approximately 2 months, so bro I'm still guessing how he accessed your account.

Luckily you will get your account back but I will advice you to us two way authenticationn whereby any log in attempt on your facbook account requires a code that will will be sent to you before they can access.. Its very safe and reliable.

I wish lala and his team could make this post a thread for facebook users

Honestly i cant place my head on how he accessed my acct,its so sad. And yeah i have done d two wzy authentication stuff. So hopefully am safe for now. Well then,i guess i have to wait for 2months before i can change my name. Its really not a good experience. PS: if d two way factor authentication is showing 'turn on' does dat mean i have activated it?

Pls boss help me out. My acct was hacked yday bay one Yang Hoo. I couldnt log in thru out yday cos fb couldnt recognise my email. It kept telling me to join as a fresh member cos my acct does not exist.
Today,i went to my yahoomail which is what i used to register on fb n realised my acct has been compromised n was asked to follow some steps to retreive it. I did all dat n gained access. I changed my email n password n secured it. But my problem now is dat i cant change my user name,its still d chinese man's name. How do i do dat. Although i was told i cant change it cos i justr did dat recently. I have reported d issue sha to fb. But i want to know how soon i can change d name.
The man do me strong thing. Deleted all my pictures n info. Am so sad but also happy i have regained it. But i need to change dat weird name asap. Pls help .cc: jieta
