I am writing this short article to express my deepest frustration about the scarcity of the Tecno camon c8 in the market. It's very scarce in the market and also on the online platform

Tecno camon c8 was the most requested phone during the black Friday especially among our teeming customers. Unfortunately only few thousands could be sourced.

I could not understand why a phone that is already gaining popularity among Nigerians, shouldn't be given top priority by Tecno mobile. If only they could make it more readily available, this phone is about to break record as the highest selling tecno phone.

As a matter of immediate urgency, more should be shipped down to Nigeria to cushion the effect of scarcity being experienced now

Goto settings >> About Phone >> Check if the Android version is 4.4.2(kitkat) or 5.1(Lollipop)

By the way, someone help me on rooting this lollipop, I have tried different ways to no avail; different versions of kingroot, rootgenius, iroot with pc and internet connection, non worked. I then decided to flash the recovery and then flash the "UPDATE superSu.zip", the recovery wasn't coming through either, it showed the success mark on flash tools but when I pressed the vol & power button to boot into recovery, I got an android robot lying on the ground, tried flashing several timed with same result, I even got the same android nigga on the ground when I flashed back the lollipop recovery image. I just can't get to root this, I need help.

I have gotten the 3 files, the flash tool, the Adb driver and the 800mb+ Upgrade file, do I extract all on pc including the 800mb+ file below or just the other two and leaving the later as it is on pc before commencing the steps?


Secondly, is there a way to back up a ROM without rooting the device first?

1. Yes! You extract all the files into new folders on ur pc.

2. No way to do that. You'll need to root and backup ur rom using mtk droid tools.
