Nigerias 10 years of combat operations is an example of just how pathetic your armed forces are. 8 Battalions of men, armour, attack aircraft, warships and all it brings you is 10 years of stalemate against a peasant army.

South Africans arrive and instantly defeat RUF with a handfull of men, a couple of attack helo's and some armour that they had to beg borrow or steal.

The IKRI-7 is a jointly developed APC for the nigerian police, and a very welcome development for both the nigerian and south-african defence industries.

The europeans jointly built and deploy the IVECO LAV, I don't see why a jointly built south-african/nigerian IKRI-7 should also not be freely used across both police and military forces across the continent.

Yeah I agree with you ey, its very exciting to see African Coutries working on such projects together... I want to see large scale projects being done within the African Continent, we have the skills and the money. We should develop a weapon system that is easily adaptable to every investors specific needs, whether its a verse engineered fighter jet or trainer, an APC, MRAPs,IFV etc... Just like the F-35 its meets all the requirements of the investors, each country can adapt the Aircraft to suite its fighting style enviroment and all.
Something like that would be a great leap for Africa
