I watched one video today. The guy said thieves is the real meaning of government. The politicians will never be sincere about the taxation or borrowing, they would all pretend as if it's something they wont do when they get to power

We got to reduce the borrowing, it can't go on forever. At some point, hard decisions like a higher tax rate, removing subsides on power, fighting corruption and so forth need to be done.

The issue with the borrowing is, Nigerians are frowning on any increase in tax. How do you expect government to function without increasing the tax? if no tax money then borrowing is inevitable. What they do with the money is another discussion entirely
