if as a farmer, you buy pesticide times three the old price, pay bandits, police and task force then have to sell through market men & women who depend on tomato sales to do every other thing in life so fix prices via union and fix it high, you will understand why those peppee can still be sold for N1000.

200m people couldn't produce their own pesticide except they import?

The unions in Nigeria, what have been there usefulness if not money sucking in the name of different fees with no interest of their members .

Are the unions not the one fixing the ridiculous prices?

Regarding the guy that has been trolling me on this forum for over 6 years with numerous monikers, I have given him up to this week to stop or I will invite security operatives to come and take care of him.

This is not a threat, it's over 6 years of blackmailing, deliberately provocating and trolling. If he his not ready to stop, them it's time to teach him a bitter lesson

I contacted NPF over the weekend and I have been provided with the accurate contact details of the operatives in charge of this kind of situation.

Nobody should blame Helinues for the before warned advice . I no dey hide with my biting, I dey like to dey stand by it

We continue to evolve..

The truth is...
The time we get our elections right,, there won't be need for all these election-petition tribunals any longer.

The whole data is already out in the open, and very easy to obtain.
Lots of organisations would get their hands on the data, and involve lots of independent audit firms who would look at the data from lots of different angles..

And each and every of the audit reports would still be arriving towards similar results,, ((save for some little discrepancies, which could be as a result of the methodologies used by those different auditors)).
That's what it should be.

..

But when the wrong things are done,, hoarding of data becomes the next thing, so as to avoid exposing the wrongdoings..

This now means that researchers cannot do any research with the Nigerian Elections.

For instance, we cannot really pinpoint the Number or Percentage of youths who actually participated in these past elections.
How many of the voters were Civil-Setvants, how many of them were farmers??
Which states were there the most percentage of farmers who came out to vote??

These types of questions are what researchers need answers to..
But INEC said that they don't have such data any longer..

We can't get the election right as long as we continue to elect the same crops of politicians at the Senate and HOA, what difference have LP elected senators or HOA made?

When we start focusing more about our constituency, our states and elect credible people to represent us, that's when we start getting things right because if credible people are elected to ordinary state Assemblies, governors with no idea about governance would be easily impeached or their bills proposals denied if they are not going to benefit the Masses .

Same goes to Senate and HOA

As for the timely transmission of the results,, let us just say that the letters and the words which were used inside current Electoral-Act didn't state it clearly,, even though that was exactly what the law-makers had in mind when they mentioned “transmission”.

That is why I am always talking about further amendment of this current Electoral-Act,, where more specific procedures for any intentioned activities are well explained/described,, and most-importantly, these activities should be tied to SPECIFIC TIMELINES..
Or else, such specifically mentioned activities would become something which the INEC are free to do anytime they like,, even after 6-years.

The transmission of results at the polling units wasn't mandated in the new amended electoral act. I remember how I raised issue with it immediately it was passed.

If the results which are declared at polling units are final which same would be declared at the national tallying center, as long as the candidates have their polling agents across all the polling units, rigging would be hard to do.

The last election, Labour Party in particular did not even have close to 50% agents across all the polling units agents in Nigeria. How would you proof you are rigged at somewhere you did not have any agent?

A thread about the important of polling agents was also created, as usual nobody took it seriously

Toh

Should government also be blamed for the ridiculous price of goods and services we don't import like pepper, tomatoes, onions?

Why should the attached below items be costing N500 in some Southern region areas.

Before talking about herdsmen activities in the north, are the Southern people so that lazy to produce their own foods?

And before talking about the increase in fuel price, what % of increase in fuel price compared to the ridiculous % increase in prices of foods items we don't import?

The thread is nice..
One thing with Nigeria is this:: no matter the good intentions for the invention or establishment of ANYTHING,, Nigerians are always out to find ways to bye-pass those intentions..
((Even if they have to include those people who are in charge of those inventions and/or establishments))..

And we are not ready to address this anomaly yet as a people..
We choose to pretend that all is well..
We choose to always point out that every country in the world do the same thing we are doing..
We choose to tell ourselves that we should stop noticing such things.
Yet, the well-intentioned inventions and establishments continue to be bastardized as time goes on.
...

...

We don't like to engage on issue based discussions, rather we focus too much attentions on petty discussions with no proffering of any solution to the issues affecting the country.

Nobody took the below thread seriously before the last election

I also created a thread about why election results must be mandated to be transmitted immediately after the counting of votes at the polling stations and the results declared there should be final..

When did they add FG as their next of kin that they think FG should be responsible for whatever personal things they might be going through?

It cost money to pirate fashion. This is not cd. So you believe a business man will bring out money to pirate zlatan ibile fashion, when he is not sure people will buy it from him. When others in the market are selling hermes, gucci, blanciega etc, a trader will tie down his money selling zlatan Ibile. So when his mates are boasting of rocking gucci and fendi. He will be boasting of rocking zlatan. Obviously you are not a business man.

What nonsense are you justifying?

Are you into pirating business?

Toh, helinues, I agree with you totally. So our love for foreign goods is making us encourage piracy. If there’s no demand, they can’t be a supply.

Exactly. Are they dragging our native wears with us the way we have been dragging their foreign clothes here with the ridiculous prices.

Why should some Nigeria ladies be putting on wigs ( likely dead person hair) cost N200k on empty heads

Toh

7 states involved. Average population of the states plus the job opportunities bringing to those states.

Well, I don’t think it’s lack of creativity. Some people are actually creative. I think the problem is the patronage. If I design the clothes how many Nigerians will buy? We don’t believe in ourselves enough. We like foreign made brands or pirated foreign made brands to appear different (I better pass you kind of mentality). I bet you most of those people you saw at that launch won’t wear that ZTTW brand after that day. They don’t wear “local” brands when they can afford Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Balenciaga even if what they’ll buy might be copies.

We should encourage local production of original ideas (not pirated goods) by patronizing the products. I should be proud to wear my locally made sandals/slippers.

The pirated clothes, who are the people buying it if not Nigerians . It takes a lot of creativity to come up with any brand design, pirating is intellectual copyright which shouldn't be encouraged in any form

Have you bought pirated copy of clothes before? Then you should be arrested for it.

I don’t support piracy. It is wrong. However, you guys should stop making it look like copying of fashion brands just started as soon as ZTTW launched. Companies in China mass produce & we drop ship to sell in this same Nigeria. So how are we different from what we criticize?

I see a lot of Dior, Nike, Hermes worn by a lot of people & I can bet most of these your so called celebrities have them in their wardrobes.

Let’s not make it look like the people buying from them are not the ones encouraging the piracy. If they don’t buy, they won’t produce. A lot of Nigerians are putting on mass produced clothes from China, Aba etc. even the football jerseys they wear to support their foreign clubs are mostly pirated copies(fake jerseys).

ZTTW should sue them if he can. No mercy! However he should be ready to answer a few questions in court if pictures of him surface as exhibits in court as having bought & worn copies in the past.

N/B: Be like me. Don’t wear pirated things. I rather buy them when they are on sale & i don’t go for expensive brands.

Bro, it's lack of creativity that's making us to be pirating any foreign design clothes.

With the mass production of native wears, why can't we come up with our own design without pirating others?

Why should we be wearing Okrika clothes, some are even buy Okrika boxers and pants, used clothes by someone you don't even know wears the clothes first..

Shoes or heavy boot shoes don't fit our weather conditions, why can't we focus more on mass productions of the sandals we are good at?
