Speculation is different from reaching conclusion. He claimed Edun had a stroke which is something not verified, also he claimed he was flown abroad which also not verified.

Honestly, I have zero idea which kind of politician obi is. But I think obi feels the result of the primaries should not affect his ambition to run for president. Some people are adamant, they might decide to go against the odds. And that's what obi thought. He went against established norms and came out with an outstanding result of over 6.1 million votes.
