DaddyJapan: How does this letter address the concerns @Jakumo raised?
If his interpretation of the law he quoted is correct - note that I have not read it myself - surely, we all need to be alarmed by its blatant overreach as well as the excessive penalties it prescribes.
We model our nation's imperfect democracy on the United States' and United Kingdom's. Yet in both these countries, people do not go to jail simply for arguing a case for secession or republicanism. Why is it that neither you nor @helinues appear to be remotely pertubed by what appears to be a draconian law, even though you know damn well that it infringes on our civil liberties. Are you so blinded by party loyalty that your critical thinking skills have been completely eroded? Of course, those behind the law would take some advantages in prosecuting their perceived enemies even when their comments don't warrant prosecution You guys should stop trolling me on this forum. I made the above quote on this same thread |

Jakumo: \
Oh yes I agree with this statement. Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa both abused freedom of speech,. and are now languishing behind bars where they belong for life, as a result.
However, If you read the fine print of the new law, you will see that even those who merely say things deemed subjectively to be "offensive", "inappropriate", "annoying", and so on, could in theory lead to prosecution and LIFE behind bars. Of course, those behind the law would take some advantages in prosecuting their perceived enemies even when their comments don't warrant prosecution |

Jakumo: Ok, now I understand your point. We are in agreement that free speech is the cornerstone of electoral democracy's immutable rights. There is freedom of speech, but reckless speech is not part of the freedom |

004gist: We argued with statistics and emperical evidence
All data available showed that APC from 2015 to 2025 has failed not only failed but taken Nigeria back to 1980s.
And its even worse because of the population we have now compared to 1980s because if u get the GDP per capital e.i average output per person u will see the real problem u guys have caused I see, you must have been so affected with the taken back to be sounding obsolete. So the economic experts praising president Tinubu's reforms must be drunk |

Na the Obidients would eventually send Peter Obi to political oblivion as some issues which they could have ignored, they would escalate it instead
The guy who made the post has deleted it. The person he was cuddling with is Peter Obi's son. But because the Obidients are not interested in taking responsibility for anything, they will make this arguments to be back and forth
Meanwhile below is my response to that post yesterday

Dalohad: Oga go and sit down with your propaganda.
You ACN guys( Yoruba wing of APC) brought foul-mouthedness into Nigerian politics.
Go and read previous threads and comments you made during GEJ's presidency. You guys and Lie mohammed degraded the Nigerian presidential seat and made it a mockery.
You laid the precedent and other MUST follow. Stop crying when the head is cut off. It's too late. I thought you guys claimed to be different, why are you doing worst than what Apc did when they were in opposition? FYI, I supported GEJ through his first term but just against his reelection |
