Goodluck Jonathan was also a former Bayelsa governor. He used PDP structure to win elections in the north. Peter Obi needs backing and if Atiku steps down and provides that, Peter will win the election with a very wide margin. The north understands they have to pick a Southern candidate, so they have to choose Tinubu or Peter Obi. With Northern elite structures on ground for Peter Obi, that's a very easy choice.

You can't compare GEJ with Peter Obi. GEJ to some extent get along with some politicians, same can't be said about Peter Obi as he has been working solo.

Don't even let us talk about Peter Obi's tribe or the attitude of his supporters towards others
