SheikhMuniru: Don't get it twisted, Yayi facilitated the construction and rehabilitation of both the state and federal roads as the senator from Ogun State in order to make Ogun State roads more motorable
The federal roads from high listed are:
1. Randa so called to Alamala to Olorunda to Imeko
2. Ita-Oshin to Oke-Ata to Ibara orile junction
3. Ilaro to Owode Idiroko road
4. Ota road to Winner's to Atan
State road:
1. Olorunsogo roundabout to Lantoro hospital road
I'm here to enlighten you the more! It's now facilitated nit that he built the road by himself. Hahahaha |

They did it for the current governor against Amosun who preferred another person. Yayi is very close to Ogun government house, except death snatch him. Hahahah, Osoba since when. Remember I said he's from my ward. All past politicians in the state don't ha e much relevancy. From Obj to Osoba, To OGD to Osinbajo self |

Senators can earmark funds within the budget for projects in their constituencies. This allows them to allocate resources for things like road construction.
Do not let the word oversight give you issue here. Earmark funds which are his personal funds right? Stop arguing blindly |

(1979-1983). He was re-elected again in 1983 but Retd Buhari swept them away! Since then the Remo axis has took the slot of the Ogun East in the person of Gbenga Daniel (OGD) and the incumbent Dapo Abiodun. Yayi has bright chance to clinch the seat. We are talking of since 1999. Ijebu are yet to produce a governor for the state |

SheikhMuniru: Did I said senator is the worker that will be constructing roads? Your mind is not here or maybe you can't comprehend! Let me start from Ogun Central
1. Olorunsogo roundabout to Lantoro hospital road was fixed by Yayi
2. Randa so called to Alamala to Olorunda to Imeko road is under construction. Asphalt had been layed from Randa to Alamala Barracks. Workers are working everyday on this axis!
3. Ita-Oshin to Oke-Ata to Ibara orile junction is also under construction
On the YEWA:
1. Joga to Iboro to Saala to Imasayi to Ibese Dangote cements had been constructed and now motorable
2. Ilewo Orile when coming from Ibara Orile via Joga was constructed by Yayi
3. Ilaro to Owode Idiroko roads was carried out by him
4. Ota roads via Sango to Atan ota is under construction with an overhead bridge been planted to reduce traffic congestion!
5. Igbogila dilapidated roads had been fixed
And many more You listed the roads above as projects of Senator Yayi. Senators don't construct roads, their duty is to oversight FG projects not even state. All those roads you listed above are state roads. How is Yayi taking credits for those roads? Please make it sensible to me |

Senators don't build roads |

SheikhMuniru: This is the business of a senator regards road construction!
Senators can earmark funds within the budget for projects in their constituencies. This allows them to allocate resources for things like road construction. What are they representing if they can't earmark funds within the budget ( FG budget) for their constituencies. All senators will list projects needed to be done in the constituency of course. After doing that, the next duty is to over sight, monitor of those projects are being done. So if the Sango Ota roads have been awarded severally, what have Yayi been over sighting, monitoring? |

Mynd44: Why does he need to convince Ogun Central based on Sango-Ota road? The fact that Amosun was governor and that does was bad, Dapo was also there and still bad is enough reason. Perhaps if someone from there is governed, it will be fixed since these people want to act anyhow.
Perhaps you forget that Dapo Abiodun was elected based on structures set up by Yayi and Osoba. Remember 2019? Or you believe Dapo Abiodun is that popular? Heck, he almost lost his re-election is not for the votes he got from Ogun west.
You talk of Ogun Central as though Ogun Central actually supported Dapo Abiodun yet he won so why will Yayi be different?
I challenge you to name 1 person from central that can defeat Yayi in the primaries or election. Include Dapo Abiodun and Adebutu The said roads are federal roads. Before you will blame the governors, blame the people representing that constituency first as that should be their primary responsibility. What are they over sighting if the roads have been in dilapidated for decades? Which structure did Yayi have in Ogun central? You are talking of who can beat Yayi when those who control his Yewa axis politically are Ogun central people. Why are the Yewa people not been voting for GNI, Akinlade enmass whenever they contest against others? Online support, online popularity can't influence Ogun state politics. Politics › What Yayi And His Supporters Don't Know About Ogun State Politics by helinues(op): 10:45am On Jul 10, 2025*. Modified: 3:50pm On Jul 10, 2025 |
I have been reading from mostly outsiders supporters, who believe that Senator Yayi can use the influence of president Tinubu to win the Ogun state governorship election.
I will give some hints how the politics of the state is being played.
Ogun central is mostly the decider of most of the elections in the state which comprises of Egba and Owu. Both are only separated by ancient stories, they do everything together. Food , language, culture and most especially politics.
Awori region, they are more closer to the Owu's geographically but they are more aligned to the Egba's politically and in other stuffs.
Yewa axis which Yayi is from, the first established people from Ogun central, Egba and took the advantage of the Benin border to relocate or just have a house with wives and kids there. They started the politics of the region and their generations have been in charge.
Remo and Ijebu are normally seen as one but when it comes to politics, they don't share same ideology. Only the Reno's have been producing the governors from that axis, Ijebu are yet to. If Ijebu is aligning with Ogun Central, the Remo mostly look to Yewa axis and some crumbles left in Ogun central , same as if Remo is aligning with the Ogun Central.
The mutual decider of the election will still be Ogun central with the influence in Awori and Yewa plus either Ijebu or Remo will fall along.
If you can't appeal, convince the Ogun central people why you should be the governor of the state most especially when the Sango Ota road have been in dilapidated situation for decades.
You are currently representing that constituency, but if you want to come to Abeokuta from Sango, you take a long route of Lagos Ibadan expressway linking back to NNPC.
Even if it's not the duty of the senators to build roads, but your major assignment is to oversight the FG. If those roads have been awarded severally and nothing have been done about them, what precisely have you been over sighting? |
