Ofunaofu:

They are being realistic bro

The only people that should be realistic here is the government

They are being realistic with N500k as minimum wage?

Where do they expect the government to get the funds? To borrow or to increase more tax base which Nigerians are fuming at both?

What should happen to private sector workers, how would they be able to cope in the same economy where the government workers would be earning X300% of their basic salary?

What do you think would happen to Nigeria economy with government paying N500k as salary? Inflation of course.

So what's realistic about Labour's proposal

Is that the only house in that neighborhood?

People should learn how to be accomodative .

Family of 5 in a small room, they would have gone for more bigger space if they had the opportunity

Modified: Chai, so many monikers go don rest in pieces on this thread oo.

Politics / Re: Labour Slashes Proposed New Minimum Wage To N500,000 by helinues: 8:57pm On May 22
Now, this is becoming a comedy

31 states owe CBN 340BN bailout funds

The bail out funds was mostly for salary, that's N30k minimum wage oo

Government and Labour should settle for N70-N80k for now. Then fish out the ghost workers who are consuming Chunk of the salaries, money saved from that should be added to new minimum wage in a year or so

Oil contracts are mostly long term.

The government/NNPC might have not been sincere about who they made deals with and for how long
