Let's go back to 1962, when a Northern Muslim, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa registered Nigeria as a member of the World Council of Churches and International Bible Society in 1963, no complain from the Muslim North.

Saturday was a working day in Nigeria until 1973, Gowon, a Christian minority from the North declared it a work free day, to enable the Seventh Day Adventist Church to worship, no complain from the Muslim North.

In February 1979, Olusegun Obasanjo denied Ahmed Deedat, an Islamic Preacher, entry into Nigeria, no complain from the Muslim North.

In 1982 pope John Paul II was welcomed to Nigeria by a Muslim, Alhaji Shehu Shagari.

Reinhart Bonke, a Christian Crusader, had a free enterance to Nigeria at will, no complain.

Abacha welcomed Pope John Paul and established Papal Square along Kubwa express way, no complain from Muslims.

When it comes to tribalism, the truth of the matter is that the Igbos are the most tribalistic people in Nigeria, I have lived and worked in the Nortn, East, South South and South West of the country. The Igbos hate hearing the word "We are one Nigeria, because of Biafra issue, the Igbos refuse to forgive Nigeria till tomorrow and it will forever linger on, the Yorubas especially in Lagos accommodate the Igbos to the extend that the population of the Igbos in Lagos are even more than the Yorubas the owners of the state, but in the East, the threat of Biafra agitations, unfriendly behavior of the Igbos towards the Yoruba and the Hausas does not allow us to stay, enjoy the land, even many companies, including the company I worked with in Abia have folded up, some have "japa" , relocated to South West, Lagos and Ogun State where there is peace, you will see companies having only show room in Port Harcourt, but their main factories are in Lagos and Ogun, because of these insecurity issues, kidnapping of their staff, destruction of their facilities, excess demand of son of the soil extortion, etc. Those are the evidences that the Yorubas are not as tribalistic and online ranting as you are as you claim, we are peaceful and accommodating. The only two states that are accommodative in the East related areas are Akwa Ibom and Cross River Calabar, they are good to strangers travellers, tourists. I am talking from experiece.
Until the Igbos forgive Nigeria over Biafra issue, forget about Biafra and move on, there will be no unity, love, among the people, there will be continual crisis, Nnamdi Kanu will remain in jail, and the Hausas and Yorubas will never allow the Igbo to become the nation president.
As I said earlier, this is NOT Biafra war in disguise,, if Trump has internal motive against Nigeria, planning to syphon our treasures, oil, gold, etc, everyone will be a victim including the Igbos, WE ARE ONE NIGERIA, so, don't rejoice yet. US is a country that preaches freedom and granting people their overwhelming desire. Nigeria shouldn't be an exemption. The Islamists being majority in the north want a country strictly governed by Islamic tenets including Shari'a. The North West and North East states through Boko Haram have agitated for this for over 16 years. While the army is grounded in Niger, how about Benue, Bornu, Kaduna, Sokoto and several other states.

It is a complex situation.

The army is trying, but Nigeria simply doesn't have the number of military personnel to cover every where.
