debosky:

While I see your point tex, this type of thinking is VERY dangerous. It lowers the standard to the level that stealing 'only' 80% and 'doing something' with 20% is seen as some achievement. undecided

That type of thinking will only bring about leaders who feel they do not need to commit the states' resources to proper use, but doing 'something' will be sufficient. Our standards have been too low and we must continue to DEMAND for complete accountability, even if it seems a long way off.

A step in the right direction is when ALL the money gets used for the purposes intended, but then if the money was poorly or inefficiently allocated, we can criticise on that ground. I refuse to accept anything beyond that as movement in the right direction.

LOL, Robin Hood mentality
Food / Re: Would A Subway Be Sucessful In Nigeria? by hellypelly(f): 3:43pm On Apr 15, 2009
and you think success is only based on sales??
Food / Re: Would A Subway Be Sucessful In Nigeria? by hellypelly(f): 3:38pm On Apr 15, 2009
LOL, considering that any franchise in Nigeria goes downhill(quality), in terms of sales it probably will, as for quality, I doubt it,

Politics / Re: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by hellypelly(f): 5:29pm On Mar 17, 2009
@ Childchris, I guess U didnt see the part where I said everything cant go the way you want them to go,
you say if everyone is sane and corrupt, there would be no need for leaders, whats the point of the leaders we have when they are the corrupt ones? who is to 'lead' them? Of course the world is not a Utopia, talkless of Nigeria, everybody is sitting back and doing nothing, some even partake in the corruption, if U as an indiviual didnt partake, and the people around U, trust me, this would be less of an issue, people always put themselves first before the country 'all man for himself' , bleh, i might be back
I didnt even read ur entire post so I cnt adress all the issues, n iv forgotten alll i want to say, Ugh, blame it on ADD

@ topic,
I didnt read tru the first post or any other posts, I stopped @ where U stated the problem lies within us and I completely agree with u, everybody cries for change but what exactly are we doing to bring about this change? we should all remember that before the leaders became who they are they wer once among us and are still among us, if every single person took it upon themselves to fight crruption who will be left on the corrupt side, unfortunately we live in a world where everything cant go the wya we planned, everyone cant be right we just have to weed out the bad ones one at a time, Nigeria should be waaay more developed with all our resources and wealth, but you see other African Countried progress faster than us, it really is sad *smh* ah well, life

and they wernt quite friends before they just happened to have some mutual friends, never met, when they they they wer  'feeling' each other n st@ted talking, had seen each other @ some events, talked over the phone, chat bleh bleh, their first one-on-one was , *ahem ahem* quite sexually intense if I must say
Romance / Re: Sex On The First Date? by hellypelly(f): 6:22am On Nov 30, 2008
lol, funny siilar situation happened to my girl, n guess what, 4 months later they r still together, both have never been happier(@ least I know about my girl)

People r different sweets, one man's meat is another man's poison, people handle situations diff. even if they didnt get serious, I doubt she wd'a had much regrets besides the fact they have a couple of mutual friends, so it was more of a win-win less situation for her,  wink
Ebony-Silk:

wow, how cute.
So where is the dude now? what happened afta the first date?

I'd rather give my body to a guy I know, rather than a stranger. Dnt you think? wink
Romance / Re: Sex On The First Date? by hellypelly(f): 6:10am On Nov 30, 2008
with every situation its different, ill be listing the worlds personalities here!
but ill give U one, just one example, take it I was celibate for say a year and a half maybe due to a LDR, now im single again, I meet this one nice person, wev seen each other coupl'a times, talk for hours, we finally go out on the 'first date' he comes to mines and gbam, it goes down!
Ebony-Silk:

Plz, do tell.
Romance / Re: Sex On The First Date? by hellypelly(f): 5:57am On Nov 30, 2008
and I assume U just met! cos for all we know it could be  'first romantic date with ur male best friend'
neway depends on both parties involved, if the dude is a jerk and ignores her after that, as long as she is able to deal with it then sure, on the other hand, if it progresses heck, even better, U know U gotta have a bite from the apple before U buy the tree,
I know people that have kpanshed on the first date and have a wonderful relationship(romantic) now!

there r SOOOOOO many factors to consider
Ebony-Silk:

my definition of a first date:

Going out with a guy am attracted to, getting to know him undecided
As much as men love to lie, on a first date, they'll try to tell as much info about themselves as they can, just to get under women's pant.
So, it's best to play the listener and let him talk.
