President Buhari joins all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Christians in Nigeria and many parts of the world in congratulating Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the RCCG, on his 76th birthday on March 2, 2018.

President Buhari extends warm felicitations to the family and friends of the highly revered preacher and teacher of the word of God under whose leadership, since 1981, the church has grown to become one of the largest congregations in the world, with parishes in almost all countries.

The President affirms that the exemplary leadership provided by the servant of God has resulted in an exponential growth of the church, which directly translates into development of infrastructure, building of educational and health institutions, as well as vocational centres that have created a means of livelihood for many Nigerians.

President Buhari commends Pastor Adeboye’s warmth and friendliness, recalling his visits to the State House, and most significantly, the historic visit in London when he was on medical vacation. He believes Pastor Adeboye has planted seeds of the gospel that posterity will always remember, especially his divinely inspired dream of ensuring that there will be a church within every walking distance in the country.

The President extols Pastor Adeboye for his humility, focus, discipline and sacrificial spirit of giving up his personal comfort, career and dreams, to take up the higher call of leading the Lord’s flock. President Buhari prays that the almighty God will grant the church leader longer life, good health and more strength to propagate the word of God.

There are indications that former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, former vice chairman, Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, former chairman, Senate committee on Banking and Financial institutions, Senator Ayoade Adeseun and other stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have concluded plans to dump the party today – Thursday.

Source gathered that the crisis in the Oyo State chapter of PDP took a new dimension on Wednesday when news of the harmonised list of the state executive of the party filtered in.

It was gathered that the harmonised list of the SEC of the party, which was released by the national leadership of the party on Tuesday, was said to have jolted Ladoja’s faction.

The faction reportedly conceded some slots to the faction headed by the 2015 Social Democratic Party, SDP, governorship candidate, Engineer Seyi Makinde against Ladoja’s faction’s expectation.

While the list ceded 14 slots to Ladoja’s faction, 12 went to Makinde’s faction. The positions of the State Chairman, Women Leader, Publicity Secretary, Legal Adviser, Vice Chairmen I and II went to Ladoja; the positions of State Secretary and many other assistantship positions went to Makinde faction.

Source recalls that the two factions had organised parallel congresses at two separate locations late last year when they could not agree on a sharing formula. While the Ladoja faction which produced Alhaji Kunmi Mustspa as the chairman held its Congress in Watershed group, old Ife-Ibadan Road, another faction loyal to Makinde which produced Chief Jacob Adetoro held its own at Baptist secondary school located at Oke-Ado area.

The national leadership of the party pushed by the factionaization, it was gathered, took the decision to harmonize the two factions in order to ensure that all party members have a sense of belonging.

Source gathered on Thursday morning that Ladoja will today after a meeting which will be held this morning in his Ladoja’s Ondo Street Ibadan residence announce the next step and the political party they would be defecting to.

However, efforts made by DAILY POST to get official confirmation from the concerned party stalwarts proved abortive.

But a source close to Ladoja, who confided in our correspondent in a short conversation on Thursday morning, said “Yes, they are yet to announce. But there is a meeting this morning, that is when they will announce. The meeting is taking place at Senator Ladoja’s house this morning. It is closed door meeting”.

Another source close to the leadership noted that the decision to pull out of the arrangement was due to what the aggrieved leaders termed injustice on their part.

He noted that the former governor alongside his lieutenants, among whom were Lanlehin and Adeseun, are expected to announce their faction’s defection after the meeting.

The source added that they decided to leave the party for Makinde and his followers among whom were former House of Representatives’ leader, Hon. Mulikat Adeola-Akande, Senator Hosea Agboola, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi among others for them to have a formidable platform to tackle the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.

Teenager spends £1,000 of her parent’s money every month to look like "real life Barbie"

A teenager who aims to look like a real-life Barbie has revealed that she spends over £1,000 of her parents' money each month just to get her dream look.

18-year-old Gabriela Jirackova began modifying her body when she was 16 to get the perfect Barbie look. She started with long blonde hair extensions, massive eyelashes, permanent make-up, eyelash tattoo, and lip fillers. Now aged 18, she has had breast enlargement, increasing her breast form a C cup to a G cup. She also intends to enlarge her breasts more in the future and also get butt implants and rib removal surgery.

The teenager, from Prague, Czech Republic, owns 300 Barbie dolls. The dolls inspire her to go on with the surgical procedures so as to look more like them.

She told Barcroft TV: "I was inspired by other real-life Barbies and also my Barbie dolls. I had plenty of them as a kid. When I saw the real-life Barbies I thought that it was something for me. I have always wanted to stand out and thought this would suit me. I don’t believe in a natural look. I think there is hardly anything natural today."

She continued: "I spend three and a half hours everyday getting ready. This lifestyle isn’t easy at all. Maintaining my image is difficult in all its aspects, financially, physically and mentally too. There is a great pressure on me from the media, my fans, the haters, from everybody."

Her mum is in support of her transformation and her parents willingly supply the money for her monthly maintenance. Her mother revealed that her only fear was for her daughter's health. She said this when the teenager was about to have breast enlargement surgery. The surgery turned out to be a success.

Mum Romana Jirackova, 53 said: "She’d been slowly preparing us for it but we hadn’t realised how serious she was. I am worried about her health no doubt about that, but how far she will go with it is her choice and I respect it. I think that she is naturally pretty and even if she has some cosmetic procedures done I would respect that. She’ll always be pretty, it’s always going to be her. What’s important is that she is going to be happy and fulfill her dream."

Gabriela now dreams of living in the States, and says she is committed to the extreme Barbie-look for life.

he said: "I think I will definitely get there one day. I want to live in LA and become famous for my Barbie image. I still want to undergo more cosmetic procedures. I must say I am more pleased with myself after each procedure, but I am not there yet. When one chooses to do this, it takes several years maybe even their whole life. One can’t say I want to change it after a week, so I want to stick with my chosen path. I will definitely continue my lifestyle as this is not a short-term thing."
