Banky W has made a revelation about his plans to set up a restaurant within a year or two. He opened up in a radio interview in Lagos.

According to the actor/singer, he is most of the times considered a chef by his friends because of his culinary skills. He was then asked if there is going to be a Wellington restaurant.

He answered: “It won’t be a Wellington restaurant…. but I have an active plan to put together a restaurant within a year and a year and half.”

He announced that he intends to start with an online service and push it further from there.

Speaking on his foray into the movie industry, Banky announced that he’s writing a script and is almost done. He said this in response to the question on the kind of role he finds extremely challenging.

Banky W said that he’s looking for challenging roles in acting and is hoping that people see him beyond his character Dozie in The Wedding Party.

On whether him and his wife Adesua Etomi will star in more movies together, Banky W said:

“Yes we will, but we don’t want it to be a clutch. Sometimes we’ll star together, I may direct and she acts, or we’ll be in the same movie but not love interests,”

On why they had a big wedding even after he said he’s not a fan of big weddings, Banky W referenced his Instagram post where he addressed the issue saying:

“First of all, you learn very quickly that you are not just marrying a person but a family. So what the person’s family and your family want also matters in a relationship. Your happiness is also tied to the happiness of your loved ones.”

He also addressed why they had a documentary about their wedding on Africa Magic, saying that they wanted to tell their wedding story and control the narrative about what is in the media.

Speaking on his recent health issue and why he decided to share his story, Banky W said

“I’m one of the people who believe that when something doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger. I felt it was important to share what I went through to show people that you can go through this thing and overcome.”

University of Ibadan confirmed its leadership position by ranking as the topmost university in the country in the January edition of the 2018 Webometrics.

It, however, ranks 1099 in the world (still the only Nigerian university in the top 1000 bracket in the world).

The University of Ibadan is trailed in the second position by the Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State (the only private university in the top 46 bracket) and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, in the third position.

Despite being held down by protracted and debilitating industrial crisis last year, the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, still got rated as the best state university in the current Webometric ranking, 14th in the country and 3680th in the world.

A woman was brutally beaten by the wife of her lover as they caught her in the house. The scorned wife from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China is said to have suspected her husband of having an affair.

The wife has been suspecting the husband for a while but was even more shocked and angered when he brought his lover home which angered the woman more.

After calling her friends and relatives, the woman followed by the large posse burst into the bedroom of their home and found the unfaithful man and his mistress in bed together.

The young woman did not fight back and curled up into a ball while trying to defend herself as she received the beatings.

It is unclear what happened after the events but the man’s mistress is likely to have been sent home with a warning.

This is not the first time a man or woman has been caught cheating in any part of the world.

Recall that there was a trending video of an elderly Nigerian married woman and Policeman’s wife identified as Chinasa, caught while trying to sleep with her friend’s husband in a hotel in Enugu.

Chinasa had reportedly been trying to sleep with the lady’s husband, but her friend’s husband and his wife devised a plan which she fell for.

She had already removed her cloth in the hotel she was lured to, thinking she will be alone with the man before the aggrieved lady and confronted her, revealing that she has voice recordings of Chinasa aka Madam Kpom talking dirty with her husband.

The ladies who captured the lady on camera, also disclosed that Chinasa has been gossiping with their husbands and the video will be shared online to reveal who she is behind her gossips.

However, Chinasa who defended herself claimed that the man invited her and she only came around to know what he wants. She further disclosed that the man who pulled her clothes off has been the one calling her. However, the women counted her statement, saying she is married and shouldn’t be meeting a man in the hotel.

A 23-year-old welder in Thika East, Kiambu County, Kenya committed suicide after killing his 27-year-old girlfriend following a disagreement on Saturday, January 27.

Timothy Ndirangu, a married man and father of two, allegedly strangled Grace Wanjiru after three months of a turbulent relationship.

A caretaker, who was cleaning the houses, which Wanjiru and Ndirangu lived in discovered the bodies of the two, when a strong stench of decomposing bodies emanated from the pair’s one-roomed house.

Wanjiru’s body was lying on the bed, while Ndirangu’s body was dangling on a rope tied to the eaves of the house. The caretaker screamed, attracting neighbours’ attention to the scene.

According to Ndirangu’s father, Musyoki Musembi, the couple fought bitterly on Thursday, January 25 after a disagreement ensued between them. The two were separated but reunited two days later, when the fatal incidents occurred.

Musembi said Wanjiru reported Ndiranngu to Ngoliba Police Station, where he (Ndirangu) was ordered to refrain from engaging in physical confrontation with Wanjiru. The couple also resorted to ending their relationship; that was on Thursday, January 25.

Wanjiru, who hailed from Nguku Village in Kandara Constituency, Murang’a County was a teacher at Wapa Primary School, whereas Ndirangu was a welder in Thika.

Wanjiru had only worked for one term at Wapa Primary School after graduating from Mount Kenya University.

The two lived together in a rental house, which was located a few meters from Wanjiru’s workplace.

According to Ndirangu’s sister, Mary, her brother reunited with his wife last Thursday after bringing to an end his relationship with Wanjiru.

Mary alleged that Wanjiru kept calling Ndirangu on phone despite their relationship being non-existent.

Mary further said Ndirangu gave in to Wanjiru’s demands, and returned to her place on Saturday, January 27, when the killings happened.

According to Wanjiru’s cousin, the family had warned her against dating another woman’s husband.

Thika East Assistant County Commissioner Alex Kaburu, who confirmed the incident, said authorities separated the two after it became clear that both of them wanted the relationship to end.

“It remains unclear what led to the suspected murder and suicide on Saturday,” said Kaburu.

The bodies of the two were taken to General Kago Mortuary in Thika.

A 19-year-old Brazilian Teenager, identified as Rosalie Pinho from Minas Gerais is selling her virginity in a desperate bid to make money for her poor family, including buying her mom a new home.

The teenage girl is reportedly accepting bids starting at £264,000 (N133,491,182.33) from ‘gentlemen’ who want to spend the night (12 hours) with her.

In an interview with MailOnline, Rosalie said she’s selling her virginity because her family face ‘great financial difficulties’ and have struggled to afford food on several occasions.

She says she is hoping to raise enough money to relocate to a larger city, buy a house for her mother and pay her college fees.

The 19-year-old is also planning to set up her own business with the cash, which she hopes will help her ‘live without many financial worries’.

She said: ‘I’ve never dated anyone and the maximum contact I’ve had with other guys is limited to a few kisses.

‘At first, the idea of sleeping with a complete stranger scared me, but I got used to the idea and I’d rather lose my virginity in this way than with someone who will break my heart.’
