It is hard to find a vehicle anywhere that can roll over rugged terrain the way the H2 can, hence, it’s best for those who plan to ford swamps and probably climb mountains someday.

Features
Besides the generous cosmetic features that are standard on the 2009 H2, two options packages are offered – H2 Adventure and H2 Luxury. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seating, power-and heated seats, remote engine start, navigation system, Bluetooth and an eight-speaker Bose audio system with in-dash six-disc changer, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack.
The optional H2 Adventure package has all the listed standard features and adds more off-road might with a front brush guard, first aid kit, portable lamp and toolkit. On the other hand, the H2 Luxury package is geared decidedly for on-road splendour, opting for opulence over utility by foregoing the rough-and-tumble Adventure gear for 20-inch chrome wheels, chrome accents, third-row seating, a premium Bose surround-sound audio system, a navigation system with real-time traffic, rear-view camera, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system to keep passengers cool, comfortable and occupied. Performance
Powering the 2009 Hummer H2 is a 6.2-litre V8 engine, producing 393 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, powerful enough to motivate all of the H2’s 6,614 pounds. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard in the vehicle and it is a four-wheel drive type with 32-gallon tank capacity. The only problem with the H2 is its appetite for fuel. Because of its weight, the H2 is exempt from EPA fuel economy testing.
Its acceleration is fairly brisk around town and strong at highway speeds. Hummer estimates an 8.0-second 0-60 mph time, which is not bad for such a hefty car. Its towing capacity is 8,200 pounds.
Safety
Standard H2 safety equipment include driver and passenger airbags with On/Off switch, auto-on headlights, daytime running lights, front and rear tow hooks, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability control with rollover prevention, traction control and full-length side curtain airbags. With nine airbags and seating for between four and seven persons, safety is assured.
Driving Impressions
The 2009 Hummer H2 excels off road with its lofty ground clearance, steep angles of approach and departure, long suspension travel and tenacious tire grip. Among luxury SUVs, the H2 is quite literally the off-road king of the hill. Back on city pavement, its massive proportions are enough to intimidate its way past nearly anything else. It is no sloth, and like the aforementioned linebacker, it’s doubtful anyone would be challenging the hefty H2.
The good:The H2 has a distinctive styling, exceptional and unmatched off-road ability, beefy V8 power and an impressive design. Reviewers said the H2 has a good fit and finish.
The bad:Unwieldy size, cramped rear seating, small interior for its size, limited cargo space and difficult to manoeuvre. Other drawbacks include limited outward visibility and dismal and voracious appetite for fuel. Also, because of its size, the H2 dives when braking.

UNIABUJA postgraduate admission form for 2014/2015 application is out. Members of the public that wish to apply for the 2014/15 Postgraduate programme of the University of Abuja can now go ahead to start applying. The procedure released to guide applicants to have a successful application is for both undergraduate and postgraduate.
UNIABUJA ADMISSION INTO POST-GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES FOR 2014/2015 SESSION
The general public is hereby informed that list of successful candidates admitted into the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in the University is now out and can be accessed from the University Portal. Candidates are advised to pay Two Thousand, One Hundred Naira only into University of Abuja Admissions Notification’s Account, at any Zenith Bank Plc nationwide, obtain a PIN numbers from the Bank and visit the University Web-portal http://www.unibujaug.mycportal.com to print Admission Notification for the 2014/2015 and other Screening documents and bring them for University Screening exercise. New entrants and returning students resumes on 23rd November, 2014 and Registration commences on 24th November, 2014 respectively.
UNIABUJA PG ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Students must upload his/her head shot photograph with two ears appearing and scan signature in a JPEG image format and submit. The size of such images must not exceed 50kb. The photograph must be white background of 5cm5cm without glasses, cap or headgear.
Click on “UPDATE” to effect all the changes/information entered on your PERSON DETAIL Form and print a copy.
STEP 8:Visit the University Portal to apply for Hostel Accommodation.
STEP 9:Click on Course Registration to register for your Courses.
STEP 10: Collect Original Offer of Provisional Admission Letter from the College/Faculty. Then, Open Five (5) files, make Five (5) photocopies of listed below documents and put each of them into files. The documents are Online Personal Detail Form, Original Offer of Provisional Admission Letter, Admission Notification, Academic Planning Screening Certificate, College/ Faculty Screening Certificate, Online School fees Receipt, Hostel Accommodation Online Receipt, JAMB Result Slip, Ordinary Level (SSCE, GCE, Grade II e.tc.) Certificate/statement of result, Certificate of Birth/Declaration of Age, Certificate of Local Government Indigene, Letter of Undertaking from parent/Guardian that you will be of good behaviour while in the University, and University Web-Portal User’s Application Form. Submit those files to Academic Planning Unit, Student Affairs Office, College/Faculty, Department, and Bursary for your records.
STEP 11: Should you have difficulties or complaint, click HOME, and click feedback link to send such complaint or enquiries. Our Support Team will urgently attend to your complain accordingly.
STEP 12: Closing Date: Registration should be duly completed and processed not later than Three weeks from the date of commencement (i.e. 24th November – 21December, 2014). The portal shall be blocked on 21st December, 2014 at 12.00am.

(a) The deadline for the Registration may not be extended. Any student whose data are not submitted within the stipulated time may not be considered to sit for Examinations.

people have died and 12 others injured, after a vehicle loaded with explosive devices went off in Azare Motor Park in Bauchi State, Nigeria’s north-eastern region.
The Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Haruna Muhammad, who confirmed the incident, said the explosion occurred at 9:45PM yesterday.
Mr. Muhammad said the dead victims were charred beyond recognition, while 12 others who sustained various degree of injuries are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center, Azare.
He adds that the scene of the incident has been cordoned off by a Police Explosives Ordinance Disposal Unit.
Although, nobody has claimed responsibility for the blast, last night’s incident is about the third time Azare Town has come under attack from Boko Haram terrorists.
The sect members destroyed a police station and some commercial banks in Azare on the 5th of December 2011.
They returned to the town with another attack on the 3rd of December 2012.
The blast is coming nearly a week after the Federal Government announced a ceasefire deal with Boko Haram, which it said would include the release of the girls kidnapped from the secondary school in Chibok.
