Hi guys, What's the cheapest means to transfer money from Nigeria to South Africa. Thanks. |
MistarT:I don't agree with Amaechi, because the herdsmen should be sensitized to recognize railway tracks and avoid them. But politics aside bro, the normal Fulani herdsmen(not the terrorists) are humans too. Their Cattle are the only means of livelihood they have, so killing cattle, to them, is like destroying our shops or retrenching staff, we also react emotionally to these things. What if Amaechi had said, we don't want people to lose jobs, or we don't want to destroy shops, would you have responded the same way? |
ok |
amadiwati:Just imagine that. |
amadiwati:Pure mathematics is usually ahead, while it application comes as the understanding of the concept increases. For instance, quantum mechanics was developed in pure maths and for several years no one seems to see its applicability. But the story is completely different now. Quantum mechanics is now being widely applied in physics, information technology, etc. The same argument goes for several concepts in Number theory, geometry, and the list continues. The problem is that, several mathematician in Nigeria, who are lecturers often fail to teach pure maths the way it should. They should put extra effort to identify areas of application of these theories and theorems either in other areas of maths or else where. |
Shelumiel:Like all human endeavours, there is limit to all mathematical theory. However, I will like to disagree with you though that cauch-reimann equations are useless. Without analytic functions, there wouldn't have been several fields of engineering, computer science and the likes, where assumptions are made about analiticity of several functions. One important use of cauchy-reimann equations is to show that a function is analytic. |
This is important, how can I push it to front page? Mods, please help me push this to the promise land. |
The real proof might be here at last. One of the greatest mathematicians alive, Sir Atiya Micheal, is set to provide a proof of the Riemann Hypothesis, a mathematical problem dating over a century. Many have claimed to solve this problem, but the real proof still eludes mathematicians across the globe. His proof might be the solution to one of the most famous open problems in mathematics. I will be reporting live from Germany tomorrow, in the Heidelberg laureate forum, a meeting which is aimed at bringing together laureates of Mathematics and Computer science and young promising researchers in those fields, for close interaction and possible mentorship. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2180406-famed-mathematician-claims-proof-of-160-year-old-riemann-hypothesis/ |

Hadedee:Can't help. |
eluquenson:My brother, never say never.... Especially in Nigeria. ![]() |
Hadedee:Where did you apply, Abuja or Lagos? |
It seems something is wrong with the Vfs website and system. A friend's passport was delivered to him without any notice. He had tried tracking it but the page kept refreshing, then a day after, the delivery man brought his passport with visa. So I was wondering what would have happened if he had not paid for courier. My advice for those expecting their visa, if the tracking page refreshes each time you supply your information and you're within Abuja, or Lagos as the case may be, visit Vfs physically. If you're far, send an email to Vfs or call their customer care line. Just an advice based on my friends experience please, I am not an authority. |
geekybabe:Around 34k. |
life4lekan2:Each application is unique. Be hopeful. |
life4lekan2:Of late, yes. |
Bureaucracy:Calm down, your application is still within the processing time limit. Don't worry about those who are getting theirs within 2 weeks, each application is unique. Cheers. I am guessing you applied through Abuja Vfs. |
I don't know what was obtainable before now, but I have secured 3 South African visas, 2 for short visits and 1 study permit. On the two short term visas were written, work is prohibited. But for the study permit, no such condition attached. Can I work? Yes absolutely, but only for a limited number of hours as it will be determined by my university. |
Thanks dear Guru, God bless Manager007: |
I am still eagerly waiting for your response please. HelpingHands100: |
Hello Gurus, Please I need your informed response ASAP. I have been offered a study permit, thanks to all your questions and answers on this forum. I want to know if I'll need a health insurance certificate for my wife and daughter before submitting their application for relative visa. Although it is not stated in the requirements, but I want to be sure. Thanks in anticipation of your prompt response always. |
Processor01:Thank you so much |
Thecassanova:Thanks so much boss. |
Processor01:@processor, Pls l need your response to this: Hello fellow Nairalanders, Please l need your opinion and suggestions urgently, l have submitted my study permit application before noticing that third party hotel booking is not acceptable. Although l have called the hotel and they said my booking is confirmed. Do l have to book directly and send the confirmation via email directly to s.a embassy? My other documents are good, I hold a phd scholarship and I am also lecturing in a federal university... moreover l have visited s.a twice in the last 1 year for scientific workshops. I don't want to take any risk of denial of visa, so l am urgently waiting for your inputs, thanks and God bless. |
