I wouldn't accept Channels TV is biased but then it was a poor delivery by Omaupe today. She was getting abit emotional. As much as am against Engr Onovo's position of seeing EVERYTHING bad about the present government, he made some vital points. He was emphasising on Buhari's delay and unpreparedness for governance resulting to unrealistic outcome and poor planning(when they should have gone past this phase if they were prepared and had all their facts intact about the state of the nation before taking power). Engr Onovo was right that Fashola wasn't aware of the present state of the power plants and kept saying he would get back and consider what next to be done. Onovo's point was that he should have had a full grasp of all these before now. The replay of the tape proved Onovo right but Omaupe was still going about arguing that fashola ddnt say so.

I also watched the program and u got it right, that was exactly what happened... To me Onovo just tried to change what Fasola said to support his point and dey r trying to tell him that, it wasnt actually what Fasola said and he didn't agree with them....

Please let's look at it critically lest we run into bigger problems. Am aware concrete is more durable compared to bitumen. But on the other hand:
Bitumen provides better skid resistance/traction which is very important in drivers' safety.

Bitumen can be recycled and reused by melting it.

In bitumen use, it takes a shorter time frame for road construction as compared to concrete with longer curing time.. invariably our road will take longer construction period. In a system like our, that's a big issue.

Repairing roads with bitumen can be done in parts but in concrete, the entire slab has to be replaced.

I dont think c25 is 1:2:4...i think it is 1:1 1/2: 3: and it will achive it's max strength in 28days max.

Ques.1 How long(days) should be allowed for curing for grade 25(1:2:4) for it to achieve max strength before any load is exerted?

Ques. 2 What's the average number of bags of cement in each cu.m of c25, c30, c35 respectively?

Please can you clarify on the ratio of cement:sand:granite mix for different concrete grades(c25,c30,c35) in casting concrete. There seem to be a serious mix up even amongst professionals in this regard. Thanks
