They were once in the position Xiaomi finds itself now. Don't underestimate the gains that comes from having physical outlets in Africa especially Nigeria.

Infinix and tecno are thriving because they are offering budget phones at cheaper prices. Xiaomi on the other hand are producing cheap phones too even with higher specs.

Mehn, there's no barrier in the phone industry for now, if there is it's can be overcome. Xiaomi will sure take over the Nigerian market if they decide to step in. And they have a whole lots to gain.

So I am very happy. My order arrived yesterday after 3 days. It was delivered to my doorstep via Dhl and didn't pay any extra dime! Product came in good shape wit the free gifts as well.

Don't get over excited o, by the time you add shipping cost and do the conversion it still about 58k not to talk of the fees you will pay nipost.

Why not? I've used several phones before but not a Xiaomi. I was one of the first that took to unknown brands like UMI (now Umidigi) with their UMI Iron back then, Injoo Fire, Infinix Hot2 (AndroidOne version), Note2, Nokia XL and Tecno. I love sleek phones hence my pitching tent with Xiaomi. Umidigi would have been a force to reckon with but they treated their customers with disdain when they first released the UMI Iron and went on to abandon support for it. Instead they released the UMI Iron Pro ....I even at a time emailed them to setup shop through Jumia and Konga back then but they didn't mind me sef ...look at them now struggling for Nigerian market.

Wow, but xiaomi does not have a shop on jumia or Konga too.
