'Pastor Bugingo Burns Thousands of Holy Bibles at Makerere Kikoni

City Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer ministries located in Makerere, Kikoni, on Easter Monday set thousands of Holy Bibles ablaze because they are ‘misleading’ his congregation. The congregation consists of people from all works of life
but has a majority of campus students that hail from
Makerere University and institutes of higher learning in Wandegeya.

The Salt FM and TV proprietor has over time condemned the use of ‘edited’ versions of the Bible. He says that Bibles like The King Jame’s version, the New Testament, The Good News Bible have been tampered with and some verses omitted.Pastor Bugingo says that the lines talking about the Fasting and Lent, in general, were erased and that the word “ Holy Ghost ” appears a whopping 99 times yet the word “Holy Spirit” appears only seven times. He, therefore, requested members of his congregation to collect all the said Bible versions and set them ablaze.

Pastor Bugingo Pastor Bugingo enjoys a crowd of between 3000 to 6000 people who attend prayers at his church on a daily.Bugingo also says that he has a crowd of between 10,000 to 15,000 followers in his congregation on Sundays'

According to Isaac Ike from Imo state,he fell from three decking upstairs and landed on top of socker pit where he went to do some electrical installations.He sustained a wound on the leg and broke the bone that controls the left toes.

'Unidentified gunmen on Sunday killed a journalist, Famous Giobaro, in his residence at INEC Road, Kpasia in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State

Giobaro, until his death was a a staff of state owned Bayelsa Radio Corporation, Glory FM 97.1 Yenagoa. A witness said the gunmen stormed his apartment at about 5 a.m on Sunday, April 16, where they had stiff resistance from the late journalist who barricaded the door as they tried to forcefully gain entrance into his house.

The gunmen later shot through the door which hit him in the stomach.  The assailants then bust open his kitchen door, entered his bedroom and and shot him several times before they left the area.

The Bayelsa state Police Public Relations Officer DSP Asinim Butswat who confirmed the incident however said he was yet to get full details of the incident.

The attackers did not steal anything and they did not attack other occupants of the bungalow, fueling speculations they could be assassins.

The Nigeria Union of Jurnalists, Bayelsa State Council have received the news of Famous Giobaru with rude shock while calling on the Police to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act'

At least 7 people died Friday after a boat carrying about 50 traders from a local market split into two after hitting a stump in the River Niger.The boat was ferrying traders from Warra, Ngaski local government area in southern part of Kebbi State, who were returning from Malale market in Borgu local government area of Niger State.The boat broke into two midway after hitting a stump.
