lepasharon:You have different approaches which you can take. There is the option of setting up a gym which I wouldn't recommend and then there is the option of running something based outdoor in a park of some sort (depending on what location you have in mind there a few options) There are gyms in Nigeria, in fact there are many. The highest concentration tend to be located in hotels in Lagos and Abuja, but you also have gyms like Lotus in VI (standard monthly fee 29500 naira). I am not sure what your overall objective would be, but I guess the immediate one would be to make profit (it stands to reason). I am only giving my two kobos worth but the main challenges you would face is that for the existing gyms I am aware of, they charge in the region of 20,000 naira a month in order to stay afloat. This is to overcompensate for the lack of gymgoers as the gym fees are out of reach for the vast majority of Nigerians. Targeting unfit women is possibly precarious business, as many of these women are like to be mothers and/or without disposable income and it is not advisable to pursue a niche segment of an untapped gyming market. I wish you well however, and the only type of business model I could suggest would be a female boot camp out in the open and charging affordable fees- say if you aim for 30 women and 1-2k each. If this is something you can sustain twice a week and perhaps make a small investment in a few exercise mats or exercise props to recreate the feel of a gym, you could possibly generate between 240-480k per month. It's not bad money and at least if you experienced fluctuating demand or your customers stopped attending for one reason or another, you would have a quick and pain free exit strategy, especially if you compare this to the cost of having to potentially forfeit rent on premises and sell of gym equipment if things didn't work out. One way of targeting your market with eye-catching leaflets (depending on location) would be to patronise the Shopright in Lekki, some of the small shopping centres and generally areas where you will find a high footfall of women. You could even cut a deal to have leaflets handed out at takeaways and other eateries. I hope this has helped. 14 Likes |

let me tell you a personal story my dad always love to go to the stream very early in the morning in the village and he always comes home to tell my mom he use to see ghost going to take their bath in the stream,the day he died people that didn't know he died used to see him but they were surprised when they got to know he is dead because they use to see him. He reincarnated and came back into someone that is younger than me but wants me to still call him daddy which seems weird to me and the next thing he'll do is to raise his hand on me which I always resisted because now he's younger than me in the physical. It is true ghost existed and they always behave weird when reincarnated.Please o, I mean this with the greatest respect but it's possible that is a familiar spirit aka demon. Nigeria will definitely come through the group... Argentina are obviously the main threat, but let's be optimistic... when we had the deadwood back in the 2010 WC such as yakubu, kaita, chidi somebody (cornrow guy), and martins we narrowly lost 1-0 and now we have a more improved side we have a strong chance of beating them.... As for bosnia they only have begovic, the oga grandad spahic in defence and dzeko to trouble us, but lest anyone forget they have no WC pedigree whatsoever. ... and as for Iran, their best player Ali Dzaei is no more making them also rans... 1 Like |
