USSD didn't work for me this morning.
I succeeded with the self service App.

It was NOT worth the wait... if you are okay with six days downtime I am not... even one day downtime is unacceptable.

If there is an issue with their infrastructure they should be able to sort it out in a few hours, and if it is going to take long it shouldn't be more than 24 hours max. Six days of downtime is unacceptable. I am a simple man, I pay for a service, I expect to get what I paid for.

They need to be aware that if they misbehave man's won't hesitate to port. Yes Airtel may have Fair Usage Policy, from what I hear it is capped around 1TB, I doubt I will be using upto that, so that one is not an issue.

I am still waiting sha, if I don't receive my compensation I will definitely invest the 25K in the Airtel ODU next month. Airtel network is decent in my area, so I am sure it will be a decent experience 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

I have been enjoying it and it is blazing well when there is no issue, but leaving an entire area that is using their service in the dark for 6 days is unacceptable tho.

I have resubscribed sha, simply because don't have the time to go to airtel office to get their router, I don't know why one can't pay online and get it delivered like MTN 🤦🏽‍♂️

But if I don't receive any compensation for the six days of blackout I will definitely invest in Airtel next month.

The airtel you intend to run to have a fair usage policy. A lot of people have complained bitterly about their unlimited service. It's like moving from frying pan to fire. You are already complaining about the process of obtaining their router.

I understand your pain of having to wait for 6days but it's worth the wait. MTN would improve on their fibre service as time goes on and downtime maynot take this long to troubleshoot. I'm glad you did the right thing in the end. New services comes with greater challenges

He has every right to punish them by leaving. If we all do this when their service is bad, they will understand that they will have to be on top of their game at all times and in the end, it will be to the benefit of customers. We Nigerians simply take too much nonsense from these companies and they take us a fool for it. PS. I am using the same service and it has been very good on my end, but it could be me tomorrow.

I'm not saying what he intends to do is bad but you and I know that's there's no reliable telecoms company in Nigeria. All of them go through downtime occasionally. Its a matter of picking the one that gives the best service regardless of the challenges. For me, I'd rather be patient with mtn than any other network. Their Internet speed and stability is mad. Its worth the wait but they can still improve. Cheers

I have called them and told them I will not renew .. and they must refund those days that they have taken from me.

I'm so glad that its been restored. However, You've been enjoying the fibrex service for over 2 months without disruption and six days of downtime isnt enough to switch. What's the guarantee that the next device would be better?. Its all good though.

Agents are hustling for their own pockets, don't follow their words, they will dump you. I have had a second hand experience with one of them. When it happens, they won't pick your calls again. The installer that came for mine stopped picking his calls immediately after installation. You won't understand till you have an issue with the service

Everyone knows they are hustling but from my experience with such agents they’ve always made the process faster and easier for me. I don’t know why you have a problem with them. Everyone here have testified and spoken about their importance and you still won’t agree. Just like myself and others have said, discuss with an agent or call 217, they would resolve whatever issue you have ASAP. This is my last response to you regarding this matter. All the best.

You typed like an agent and it is fine. So those of us with blinking PON light found the router on the road and we deserve to be in the situation that we are. Thank you for pointing that out. It is ridiculously funny to me anyway.

I'm no agent. I was only trying to share my experience. When my device was installed the POS blinked which meant that it wasn't configured yet.
They said it would take 24-48 hours to be activated. It was after the call from mtn that PON light stopped blinking. I was even advised by the agent that the process is easier going through them. You wouldn't have to wait too long for installation, configuration, and activation. I also received a follow up message from the agent asking if my Internet was active else he would escalate.

I went through an mtn sales agent. I paid 25k on Monday last week and device installed the following day. Thursday, I received a call from mtn during the early hours of the morning for device configuration. They asked if the PON light was blinking and later it became stable. I also noticed the Internet light was stable. During the afternoon hours I received an sms that my unlimited data was active and noticed the Internet light started blinking. The sales agent called to confirm if I had Internet access and I confirmed it was active.
So far the speed is fast and no challenges. I've been streaming and downloading large data.
MTN is simply the best internet service provider.

It's important to go through an agent who can follow up from start to finish. You may also contact 217 for them to escalate issues if need be. They are willing to help and support.

ExxonMobil is currently operating two deepwater assets in Nigeria ( Erha and Usan) following the divestment of their shallow water assets to Seplat
They don't need much manpower to operate those deepwater assets.Maximum two Production Engineers for example,ably supported by a few technicians ,contract staff and service contractors can effectively man those assets

During application review stage,ExxonMobil recruitment team gives preference to applicants with masters degree from European or American Universities (for EH), First class degree holders (For GT) as well as applicants with ExxonMobil work history (ESSO exploration contract staff and Interns) , then of course * the Nigerian Factor*.This information is from a reliable source

You maybe reliably informed but I can tell you with authority that if you obtain high score in the test and meet the minimum requirement for the job role, you will be invited for interview. I know a guy who doesn't even have a 2.1 but works at Saipem, he received interview invite for Wells Quality Specialist role. He knew ahead of time he was gonna be called after he aced his test.
Global recruiters are responsible for shortlisting.
If you impress the panel during the interview stage, you will get the offer. They want the best hands for their operations. It's a 99% merit based system. Let no one be deceived.

This recruitment takes a different toll from last year's. Though I don't know the number of persons needed per role, the truth is that ExxonMobil needs personnels. Hence, the need for the many roles rolled out.

The recruitment is for their deep water operations facilities, Erha and Usan FPSOs. Quiet a number of persons would be needed as the work rotation is 21/21 days.

You understand how their system works.
With 1.5 billion dollar investment in deep water operations at Owowo, Erha, and Usan fields, they would need more than just a hand or two.
This year's recruitment is a different ball game.

Keep calm. They've probably not reviewed yours. When they do, it's either you are "app under review" or "no longer under consideration".

Expect a response by 4th week of May, 2024.

My advise to GT/EH

All candiates who will/have received interview invite should give their best. Dont relax cause you made it to the next stage but Treat this like your life depends on it and remember to pray. They are ready to weed out as many as possible to get the best hands. It's merit based but there's still little pressure to lobby for some roles which is nothing to worry about if you perform very well. Be sure to be amongst the best 50-60 engineers.

Yeah. But this doesn't give room for logistical arrangements (for some of us not based in Lagos). I mean one already has an office commitment on Monday, it's quite unrealistic to give someone such a short notice period, especially for experienced hires who already have work commitments and can't just skip work like that. I must say for a company like Exxon it's quite disappointing, the last interview with them we were given at least a week's notice.

Guys check your mail box for the interview invites. It's quite impromptu I must say. Interviews are for Monday and the invites were only sent today (Saturday). I have done many interviews, also once with Mobil, but I haven't experienced such an impromptu interview invite.

I told you to get prepared asap. Now you see. Congrats!

Everyone should keep calm. The selection process may or may not be over. No one here truly knows. But as long as your status still shows “Application Under Review”, you may still be shortlisted.
At the very least, in the previous thread, some people didn’t see their status change when others did, but they eventually got the invitation for interview.

Don’t hold out hope for this sha. Involve yourself in other activities, apply to other jobs if you will.

Reason is that, for some one us before the application status gets to application review it took time, around February.

Exxon has a recruiting standard time frame for each stage.

Two weeks for Application submission
Two months to shortlist/profile update for test
Four weeks to shortlist/profile update for interviews.

Please be advised that shortlisting is one thing and profile update is another thing. When I said GT and EH shortlisting has been completed, it isn't the same as profile update completion but a few persons are finding it difficult to comprehend my information. They have a compiled list of successful candiates and all that is left to do is to update profiles and revert.

If you check my previous posts, I told you all that something was gonna happen this week along and i gave a birds eye view about profile updates for each stage. I won't say it's in batches but profile update is in progress. Cheers
