Couple of years back, while in school, and in my 5 minute of madness, i happened to ask this gorgoeus son of a greek God out for Lunch; a day before. Before the morn of the next day, every one of his friends knew i asked him to lunch( very vain child)!
Well as a sharp girl now, i no send; i still kept the invite, but did something to him dat day, dat he still remebers me for!
After the much eating and his anticipation of a juicy evening( whats on a man's mind?) i split the bills in half, drop my share on the table, stood up, gave him a peck on the cheek for coming and walked out.
Need i say he kept a grudge with me for awhile

You can not forcefully convert an herbalist to see reason why he should drop his ways and serve the true and living God, dat will cause war!

i have being to a protestant churches were Congregation worship their pastures more than what brought them together.
i have gone to a service where the congregation could no longer sing the praises because there was a power failure and no light topower the bands.

i read through all the post on this topic and some really did got me shaking my head.
Maybe you have had questionable experience of the old ways of Catholicism, , but i will say this, i dont know wat church dat was or is, but the catholic church i go to is a true worshipper of the doctrin of Christ. Yes, not all catholics read the bible, not all can speak in tongues, not all can quote verse or pray on top of their lungs for hours, , but every one of them know the importance of communion.

the same communion some protestant churches condenm is now being practiced in practically all protestant church , dat have come to appreciate the symbolism of communion. I am not just writing to fill spaces, i have being to other protestant churches, not to join them, but to worship with them, and believe me, i can write epistle of all the things being done wrong.

Catholics today are being strongly encouraged to read the bible constantly and attend bible study programmes in church and community worship ( if that what you feel we dont do ) as for the status and images, they are just monuments and acts like pictures just to tell congregations who these people (saints and apostles)were in their days, just like you have pictures in your house, it does not mean you worship your grandmother's picture!
The crucifics is the symbol of the pain and shame i made my Lord go through for everytime i sinned, and even though dying on the cross is a shameful death, Jesus turned it around and his death on the cross symbolises salvation and Grace to all man kind.

if some parishioners decide to take it to another level by sacrificing animals before them (which i doubt they do), then its them and God that have a say in the matter, you have no right to Judge!!!!!!!!

Big brother Africa lacks some flavour and difficult tasks as in BBN, but the girls in the house (BBA) does not hide what their mama gave them, expecially during bath time!

if you are using the stock of your meat/dried fish/ panla( okporoko), taste for salt/ maggic, keep it simmering pour your (socked) ogbono paste and stir, i like putting the bleaeched palm oil last, (although i have added the palmoil to the stocked before my ogbono paste )both ways works.Do not cover the pot completely, if you have to, but make sue you stir well and avoid making it burning,let the fresh fish be the last thing to go into the pot. if its too thick had the quantity of water to your taste. Lower the fire and allow it to cook for a few minute, and you are good to go.

U can add some veggies , if you want!

Dont forget taste as you go over very addition!

yes o , there are two method i learnt, the rush hour own ( u cook in college or 4 ur belle only), and the one you cook when you are expecting visitors:

i am going to cut the chase here, depends on the protein u are using; ( excluding fresh fish at this stage)make sure u get it cleaned,spiced and boiling,
some "soak" the ogbono powder(watever you wanna call it) in palm oil and some in hot water,

remebering the first time i cooked always put a smile on my face ( i think i was 11+), i wanted to surprise my mum and simbling with my curlinary skills, (since i have been of much help in the kitchen while my mum prepares the meal; u know handling spoons plates seasoning and most interesting; tasting and biting / pinching the meat ).i made a wonderful pot of jollof rice with the oil( palm, vegetable and butter) having a feild day on top of the well salted and garnished burnt rice.
unfortunately i increased my dad's BP with just a spoon of my delicious rice.
